The Serai Bandipur

The property is vast, beautiful, and impeccably maintained, set amidst a stunning forest. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent guidance on nearby tourist attractions. The naturalists at the resort were knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife, sharing valuable insights about safaris and animals. The resort's safari organization was seamless – they even provided transportation to the safari starting point and offered complimentary coffee/tea beforehand. One suggestion for improvement would be to improve the taste and diversify the buffet menu, as the food options were a bit repetitive. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Serai Bandipur and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

Very kind staff, clean rooms and extremely well maintained property. Definitely worth it! Pool is clean, food is also pretty decent. Had a good variety in the breakfast buffet, |Wish they did start their own private vehicle safari - so this is a request :)

It’s been over a week since we returned from India with fond memories of spending a few days at Serai Bandipur. The place is spectacular, situated inside the Bandipur Tiger reserve. Getting to the property is in itself an adventure. ||We stayed at the Residence room category which is a standalone villa with a spectacular view of Nilgiris mountains. We could spend months looking at it. The terrace with its own day bed to hangout was exactly the right medicine we needed during our vacation. ||All the staff were super helpful in making our stay wonderful. Special thanks to resort manager Roshan, naturalists Shreekant and Chetan, and the entire front desk and kitchen staff. ||The only downside is that the safaris are controlled by govt and we recommend you book a private vehicle slot before you arrive. Otherwise, you will be in public forest vehicle( which is not bad but not the premium experience).

Nice place very beautiful nature. Reception need to be more humble, food needs to be improved. An experience hotel management staff needed to take orders and overall maintenance. Room Complimentory items needs to be kept properly.

I recently stayed at The Serai Bandipur from May 16 to 19 with my family (5 adults, a 5-year-old, and a 6-month-old), and unfortunately, the experience was well below the standards I expected from a brand I once held in high regard.||Having stayed at other Serai properties—my last visit being the Barefoot at Havelock. I was expecting a memorable stay. Sadly, this was not the case.||First and foremost, this is not a child-friendly resort. The play area is limited, worn out, unsafe, and poorly maintained. With two young children, it was difficult to keep them engaged or even comfortable.||We booked two premium Log Huts (Rooms 22 & 23), but the rooms were outdated, not properly maintained, and worst of all, infested with rats. We found three rats inside our room, despite all doors being closed. This was horrifying, especially with an infant in the room. The bathroom fixtures didn’t work properly, and overall cleanliness and upkeep were lacking.||The service was also poor. It took nearly an hour to get our luggage to the room. Dining service was slow, and our requests were frequently ignored. The resort manager seemed inexperienced, and the property appeared understaffed.||For the premium prices charged, this was a major letdown. We travel frequently and choose luxury resorts to create memories and enjoy top-tier service. Sadly, this experience left us regretting the choice.||I truly miss the golden days of The Serai under Mr. Siddhartha Hegde’s vision, and even after his passing, Ms. Malavika Hegde carried that legacy forward with grace. But something has changed, and not for the better.||I sincerely hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences, because the Serai name still means something to many of us who’ve been loyal guests over the years.

We stayed at the serai Bandipur in 2022 and we have fond memories. We stayed in the residence and log hut for a total of 3 nights. Right from the welcome everyone was so warm and friendly. The food at the breakfast and at the restaurant is probably one of the best I have ever tasted in any properties. They have a nice play area for kids which my daughter then 5 thoroughly enjoyed. Overall is would rate it one of the best stays and would love to visit again. Keep up the good work.

Location and stay is beautiful. Don't expect too many activities/fun though. Ala carte dinner was not up to the mark. Very few Veg alternatives, oily fries, Gravy smelled something not food, may be they stored their cream/butter with essential oils, not sure. Veggies were undercooked. Certainly Overpriced. Breakfast buffet was just average. All in all we had higher hopes for 'The Serai', but no.

The resort was very nice and well maintained. We had a very good time at the resort, swimming and cycling were the best. The staff were very friendly and always ready to assist.||Food was a little let down though and the cycles had very poor maintainance. ||Overall our stay was a memorable one.
