The Seventh Heaven Hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Seventh Heaven Hotel Shanghai. The hotel is right in the center of the main tourist area, making it extremely convenient to explore the city’s attractions, shops, and restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a pleasant base for sightseeing. Its central location truly made our stay easy and enjoyable.

Great position, the staff at the reception was very nice and friendly, helpful and speaking English well. The building is old, I found some black hair on the floor of the bathroom and the bedsheets had a couple of holes from cigarettes. But for a short stay is perfect because of the location. AC is great, mattress is hard (but I like that).

Seventh Heaven hotel is a relative old hotel for Shanghai but well maintained. The location of the hotel directly at the busiest Nanjing walking street is certainly his main positive aspect and despite that, it is very quiet in the rooms. The hop-in hop-off touristic bus stops just in front of the hotel which is very convenient.

Stayed at the Seventh Heaven Hotel recently, and here’s my take. The location was undeniably excellent (5/5), making it a breeze to access nearby attractions and business hubs—ideal for business travelers. However, cleanliness (3/5) and service (3/5) were average. While the rooms were habitable, they lacked the sparkle one might hope for, and staff, though polite, weren’t particularly proactive. Amenities (2/5) were a letdown; limited offerings and outdated facilities left much to be desired. In summary, if location is your top priority, this hotel works. But don’t expect luxury in amenities or standout service. With some tweaks to cleanliness and upgrades to facilities, it could shine brighter. For now, it’s a functional choice for short business stays, but manage those amenity expectations.

Location, location, location! It's all about the location! Perfect place to stay if you are traveling to see Shanghai and not for hotel all day stay! Friendly staff and nice service!

Altho the location is excellent, rooms are not clean plus room size is too small for 2. Cant even lay my luggage on the floor.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. It is about 300m walk to the metro stations. Located along the famous pedestrian street, you can get your share of souvenirs, local foods, popular delicacies, Instagram able places and all. The room itself was just fine for single, but families may find abit too small. Housekeeping was fantastic. The amenities were comprehensive except that the shower and shampoo soup were provided in mini packs which were too little. There were 2 lifts but 1 of them was not working so had to climb the stairs. For me, it's 2 floors up.

The room was perfect, the view was stunning, the location a dream. The only things that were not good were the towels and not all the plugs functioned properly. The lift can be busy in the morning if you leave when the cleaners are working. Excellent value for money !
