The Shack

I was expecting a fairly decent steak in this restaurant, since the reviews were very positive. We hands down had the best steaks ever! I’ve eaten in some pretty upscale places around the world and the wagyu here is equivalent if not better. The service was excellent, super friendly owner and the food…well, just speaks for itself. Definitely a place you must try when in Koh Samui!

We had seen great reviews for The Shack and decided to try it one night. There was a massive line of people waiting to get in, so I tried to book online with no luck. Toby got back to me by email and said they had some bar seats available. When we got to the restaurant, they were able to fit us on a table. I got the rib eye surf n turf, and my partner got the barramundi steak. We also tried the dirty shack fries and a beef and chicken taco. Everything was exceptional!! The staff were great and the vibes were good. We will definitely be back!

What's left to say about this perfect place, from amazing food! To music at the right tempo and volume, to exclusive service and continuous pleasure. We took 2 A5 Wagyu steaks made at M level with potatoes, chips and salad and 3 sauces that the god of sauces invented. Every bite of the steak, alone or with the addition of sauce, became the bite of dreams, the most delicious, calm and deep bite I've ever eaten.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. I ordered the Jumbo Pork Chop with potato and salad. Was so much food but I ate 95% of it. Also ordered an entree but it wasn't just me eating. Would highly recommend but best to book. We were lucky enough to get a table but thev place gets extremely busy

We had a great dinner at The Shack during our stay in Koh Samui. We ordered a steak and a lobster – both were cooked nicely and served with attention to detail. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and the service was attentive throughout the evening. It’s a solid spot if you’re in the mood for surf & turf in a casual, welcoming setting. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving a good piece of meat or fresh seafood.

Not a bad place in Fisherman’s village for a steak. Service friendly, sat by the bar due to full tables. Steak not too seasoned, but peppercorn and mushroom sauces good addition. Mashed potatoes tasted boxed made.

The Shack - Fisherman’s Village, Ko Samui Best Steak in My Life I had the 400g = 14oz RibEye. To say it was ‘excellent’ is an understatement. I personally like my steak cooked medium with the top and bottom slightly charred. This was done to perfection. When I put a piece of the steak in my mouth I could taste and feel the slightly charred outside with the juices awakening my taste buds. The middle of the steak was so tender that my tongue actually split the top and bottom of the steak. Sounds Unbelievable but true. This steak was extremely delicious and succulent. Reservations are highly recommended. Ps, I know this sounds made up or exaggerated but it is not. I have never tasted a steak cooked to perfection and tender to the extreme with so much flavor.

Had a really great time at the Shack! The owner and the waiters were super friendly and helpful. They really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The food is also amazing - the Australian beef is super delicious, as well as the mash potatoes and the appetizers. Do recommend the mango shake. As for the atmosphere, it was quite calm but I did went in a low season. Do recommend! If you want to have a great steak experience this is the one.
