I recently went to the Spa at the Sidney Pier Hotel for a haircut. Brooke gave me the best haircut i've had in years. She was very kind and professional, and took her time making sure it was exactly how I wanted it. Very happy with the results and will definitely be coming back to see her! Additionally, parking was great and everyone was very friendly! A maintenance man took time to say hi and ask me how was I doing, and the front desk staff were lovely! Jodie specifically made sure I was all set up for the appointment, and helped me get organized and settled in at the hotel. 10/10 service!

Every time I visit the Sidney Pier Hotel I feel at home there, cared for and attended to. My needs are listened to and responses flow. The staff are kind and generous. The rooms are beautifully and to my taste, minimally decorated. The access to good food in the hotel and around it, is appreciated. ||Thank you, Sidney Pier for providing a haven in the sometimes dizzying process of travel.

Queen bed was comfortable but much softer than we'd like. View was good, but our Seaview room (at a premium price) balcony was barely 6" deep, so was disappointing. Toilet paper holder was literally an elbow-basher, far too close to the toilet. On both a late checkin and 8am checkout, the front desk clerk was nowhere to be seen, but there was no bell to ring for attention. Underground (paid) parking lot should be secured, but was not. Views from the rom would be lovely in good weather. and amenities were good.

Google
The Pier hotel is modern, comfortable and is a great location. The staff of exceedingly friendly and helpful. I paid extra for a view room hoping for that classic ocean/Mountain View that I know is out the window. The January weather was so overcast that we could barely see the dog walkers on the beach.

This hotel is such a delight to stay at. The staff are great, the rooms are clean and have great views, and the location is perfect. If you're looking for a bite to eat though, definitely don't bother with the cafe or restaurant on the bottom floor. They had poor selection, were overpriced, and had rude staff. The hotel itself was amazing though!

Google
Repeat business guest and on this occasion I was given the absolute teeny tiniest room (H201) they have … I assume that this was due to my reservation being made through my corporate travel agency ? |Pic of my room from the hotel floor plan (try to find my room … hint: tiny yellow shaded broom closet on lower right side of the map) |On a side note, the female person who greeted / registered me when I arrived was grumpy and curt. |I’ve been informed by my company that I will be returning to Sidney / Victoria every 6 weeks on business and for my upcoming trips, I will definitely be trying alternative lodging. |You got me this time, Sidney Pier & Spa but you won’t get me again.

I absolutely love this hotel when I come here for a night. Friday was my third time staying here and it was such an enjoyable experience as it always is. Spacious, clean and beautiful views. I'll be back soon!

Google
This is a lovely hotel. We had a breathtaking view of Mount Baker from our fourth floor room. Modern, well equipped rooms with really helpful staff, an excellent spa, safe parking, and even a coffee shop/bakery. This is a great place to stay when exploring Sidney, Sa'anich, and The Butchart Gardens.

Yelp
Best of the best. My night flight got canceled and so I ended up getting a 6AM flight the next morning and did not arrive at the hotel till 8AM, they held my reservation overnight and still let me check in and then granted me a late checkout at 1PM so at least I could get a few hours of sleep, which made the rest of my day possible.

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Right by the water. Beautiful bright flowers decorate the area. The desk staff was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We reserved two rooms, and both were great. My only suggestion is a more comfortable chair. I would have given this hotel a 5 star rating except is was a little expensive.

Yelp
This is a perfect hotel in Sidney! Our room had a lovely view of the pier and ocean, and there is everything you need all around you. There's a liquor store, grocery store and souvenir shop right across the street. A few blocks down, you have a post office (gotta send those lovely postcards out!), Tim Hortons (a must), restaurants and very cute boutique shops. Plus, it is just a short drive from the ferry. The staff is very amazing and went above and beyond while we stayed. We had booked our room over a long weekend unbeknownst to us Americans, and the hardware store was closed and we were missing a screw for our kid's wagon that had fallen off and gotten lost during sight seeing. When we told the staff that we didn't know everything was closed or closed early, they offered to look for a replacement screw for our wagon in their back room! They found a replacement and brought it up to our room. We are so thankful for the extra help, and we will be definitely booking again when we come back!

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful! It's on the water with spectacular views. The rooms are huge and decorated in warm oranges and cool gray, green and blues. There is a wonderful spa in the hotel. Two places to eat a liquor store across the street and is in walking distance to downtown and hiking paths. You can shop, relax, go to a museum, eat and drink all in one place. My room has a balcony looking out towards the water and garden. It's breath taking. Skip a day in Victoria and stay here!

Yelp
We stayed at the marina and booked spa treatments for 3 people. Two of us were not offered a towel, robe, slippers or locker key from the girl at the front desk (she wore a nose ring.) Our massage treatments were ok but the girl with the nose ring wanted to argue and blame the guests as she thought they had not arrived early but they arrived 15 minutes early. This spa has no pool, no hot tub, and no sauna. They do have a nice steam room but only one and it's big enough for multiple guests, so no privacy. They also have a communal shower and one single private shower. The facilities are very clean, modern and nice. I liked the relaxation room, where they offered teas and water. The hotel and grounds are beautifully kept. I would go back but I felt bad that two of us had such an unfriendly experience and they do not wish to try this spa again. I've been here before and it has been a good experience. Lindsey was my masseuse and she was great! She gave me a facial also. I will come back.

Yelp
4 stars for the view and location of the hotel. I would have given this place a better rating, but the following are an issue 1- absolutely poor WIFI, comes and goes and even calling the front desk gets nothing done and asking about a WIFI Booster....they don't know what a wifi booster is 2- we booked a suite, so the highest tier at the hotel...the kitchen counter is sticky and some kind of film coating. We have G&T's, the Tonic can stuck to the counter 3- parking is not clearly marked or an exit sign Overall, we felt the hotel could make the simple improvements to classify if properly for tourist and locals to use, without any issues. The only resign I gave 4 stars was for the views and location.

Yelp
The boyfriend and I arrived pretty late to check in (around 11pm). The guy at the front was super friendly and helpful, and made our check in very easy (sorry, I forgot your name!) The hotel is located in walking distance to a ton of retail amenities and made things very convenient. There is a parking structure that goes down below, but you would need a parking pass ($5), which is received after you check in. Our room was on the 4th floor and it was so clean and spacious. If I were to travel to Victoria again, I will be definitely staying here. **Keep in mind, they do not accept DISCOVER**

Robbin M.

Yelp
Hotel is very nice. I found the rooms to be extremely spacious, very clean and neat and most comfortable. We ate at the local restaurant. A bit pricey but the service from Nicole was just amazing!! Happy hour is nice from 3-6 daily. Located on the waterfront with a great walking path. My only wish is that they have an electrical port near the bed. In this day and age of technology it's a necessity.

Yelp
Was lucky to have the privilege to stay at the Sidney Pier Hotel when I was in town for business. Such a beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds and rooms. The highlight of my stay was having outstanding customer service from both Jodie at the front desk and Craig in maintenance. They both went above and beyond in helping me get my business documents packaged up and cutting my preparation time by making sure I had everything I needed! If I come back to Sidney, this is where I am staying no questions asked!

Yelp
Loved this hotel!! Fortunate enough to stay in a waterfront suite, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Modern, clean hotel and excellent location!!

Kate W.

Yelp
Such a lovely hotel! I stayed here with my mom when we visited Victoria. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. The hotel room was huge! The sofa could even open up into an extra bed. The view from our hotel room was absolutely amazing. The hotel sits right at the edge of Beacon Road, and overlooks the entire Sidney harbor. The room was very quiet, so we both got an excellent night sleep. I especially love the lobby restaurant, Haro. Great food at very reasonable prices! Too bad the spa was fully booked. I didn't know it was so popular. I will make sure to book early next time! Great stay and excellent value! Thank you.

Yelp
I was on Vancouver Island for the first time last weekend, and we stayed at the lovely Sidney Pier Hotel. We were in town for a wedding, so we were lucky enough to snag a group rate set up by the blushing couple. I get the sense that there aren't too many nice-nice hotels in the area, so the pricing was still pretty steep for what it was, but overall it was a great experience. Things to write home about: +In-house spa +Fancy restaurant on main level (solid ribs and mussels) +Robes in rooms +Flawless harbour views from room patios +Free DIY parking

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting This hotel is about 10 min drive away from the Victoria airport Unlike other airport hotels we have stayed at, this one is quite exceptional. The location is prime, right in Sidney downtown by the waterfront. The facility is v clean, room is spacious and parking is underground and convenient. I would stay here anytime!

Yelp
So this is tough but hang in there with me.....this is basically 3 properties in one. I'll go through each one. First the actual hotel. It's wonderful. Clean rooms and modern. Super friendly staff. They have some pet friendly rooms and over all for the money you will be hard pressed to find a better place to stay anywhere! Next is the cafe for coffee and light morning breakfast fare. Think private Starbucks. Good coffee and snacks and friendly staff. Hard to mess up coffee. Lastly is the restaurant. Here is the mystery. Such a great hotel with a terrible restaurant. They must all be managed separately. Our server while friendly was not trained or good at her job. The manager when we asked to speak to him was rude and obviously just wanted to get home and could care less about customer service. We were here all weekend so it wasn't an isolated case. The food is not good, service is poor and management rude. Stay here but go off property for dinner. You'll thank me.

Yelp
If you happen to be looking for a little getaway or peace and quiet, I suggest taking the ferry over to Sidney, BC. Just 25 minutes from Victoria, this charming seaside town is the perfect place to catch up on your reading and your sleeping. STAY: Situated along the water, The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa is the perfect place to call home during your weekend stay. Rooms are a nice blend of contemporary style and comfort and I would suggest spending a little more for a seaside view, over looking the pier. They have a wonderful restaurant called Haro's that specializes in fresh seafood. The 'Seafood Bouillabaisse' is the best deal because it's jammed packed with an over abundance of shellfish. Make sure you get the chance to meet Dave, the hotel canine ambassador. This fun loving black lab calls The Pier his home since failing to graduate from seeing eye dog school. However, be sure to watch your food, apparently he doubles as a food thief.

Yelp
Update: Jackie immediately addressed my issue for me. She also checked in later to make sure I was doing all right, and being treated well. This is the place to stay in Sidney, comfortable, like home, right on the beach. The customer service is unparalleled. Don't stay anywhere else!

Carl C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Hotels in BC. Right on the water with gorgeous views and perfectly located near coffee houses. Bed are super comfy and so are the showers. It must visit

Yelp
What a nice hotel. Very clean and so comfortable. Close to the airport. Often my back and neck get sore, the mattress and pillows were fantastic!! Beautiful views, excellent boardwalk for taking a stroll and the pier is right out front. We also made use of a banquet room, dinner for about 50 people. The hotel served dinner buffet style, the food was great. This hotel definately didn't disappoint. Hoping to stay here again soon.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel just steps away from the Sidney Pier and right on Beacon Street, Sidney's main thoroughfare. The rooms are great (especially the ones with a view, which are most of them), and the staff is amazing. They also have one of the better gyms I have seen in a hotel.

Praveen J.

Yelp
I booked the hotel to stay here on the island after visiting Butchart Gardens. It's a nice hotel right next to the sea. Good location. Lot of restaurants near by. There is a spa and the Sidney pier from where the US ferries operate is 2 minutes away. $5 for parking in the basement is worth it. It's right next to the elevators. Hotel is on 3 floors. Condos on the floors above. Very nice park outside the hotel right next to the sea.

Stacey C.

Yelp
I was staying with my parents and desperately in need of a haircut. Worried I'd end up with the same roller set Grannie gets if I ventured out to the other salons here I decided to wander into this spa. I'm pretty anal about haircuts and have been known to book flights just to get back to someone who can sort my hair out. I had a cut from the manager of the hair salon in the Spa and was very happy with her skill and expertise. Did I expect this in Sidney? Nope. But i'd definitely consider this again in the future.

Yelp
If you really want to do yourself a favor, or give your family the time of its life, or surprise your significant other with a most romantic and relaxing time, do not hesitate but make a reservation at the Sifney Pier Hotel and spa. The rooms are luxurious, the view is unbeatable, the staff is well trained, experienced, kind, and professional. The site is impeccably clean, the decor and the ambiance is spectacular. With the addition of its new in-house gourmet eatery, 10 acres, this hotel affords a marvelous experience for anyone who has the good Fortune to stay there. Connected with the community, the hotel management seeks to create opportunities for hotel guests to enjoy and leverage while staying there. Amazing covid safe family friendly programming like the Myriad Halloween immersion experience is just another example of the forward thinking and savvy team that ensures every guest and amazing time. If you've never been to this marvelous Hotel you owe yourself the opportunity to enjoy and try it. My recent stay with my husband has initiated a new tradition for us: we will be returning on his birthday and my birthday every year because we had such an excellent time .

Yelp
Not impressed. The pros: Beautiful location. Attractive guest room. Very comfortable bed. Very nice guest amenities in bathroom. The cons: You have to walk down steps to enter the lobby. The nearest ramp is at least 100 feet from the entrance. Which is inconvenient and annoying when you're trying to maneuver luggage into and out of the hotel. In the guestroom, there were smudges on the tables and the toilet wasn't properly cleaned. The stopper in the guestroom bathtub wasn't properly fitted or sealed. Impossible to have a bath, the water just drained right back out. No full-length mirrors in the guestrooms. You'd expect an upscale hotel room to have such a basic, common item. Terrible selection of tv channels, and an outdated list of the channels available. Sidney is a tiny, sleepy little place and everything shuts down very early. Something else you would expect from a supposedly premium hotel, is that they offer premium channels to their guests, especially as there is literally nothing else to do in the area after 10:00 pm. All-in-all, this hotel doesn't live up to its advertising and is definitely overpriced for what you receive.

Jess F.

Yelp
Beautiful location on the water in downtown Sidney. Our room was perfect. It had a full kitchen in it. Perfect for a couple who likes to food shop and stay for a week. The town is Sidney is more of a retirement town. EVERYTHING closes by 8,9pm if you're lucky. The hotel overall was very nice. Perfect if you're road tripping and need a 1/2 night stop. Or if you're close to retirement and are looking for a super relaxing couple of days.

Rhonda G.

Yelp
Don't plan on an early morning flight if you stay at this hotel, there is no shuttle or car service at the hotel. taxi business is limited and booked. the hotel could not get us transport to the airport for our 615am flight. we had to book a taxi for 330am in order to not miss our flight (with no help from the hotel). There is no UBER in BC so that option was not available. What kind of hotel that considers itself a spa resort upscale hotel cannot get people to the airport?

R S.

Yelp
Stayed here for 1 night with some friends who had come in for a wedding. This place is beautiful and had immaculate views and awesome food! I like this city as there are tons of outdoor things to do, but this place just makes you want to sit out and enjoy the scenery with a glass of wine.

Li R.

Yelp
Such a lovely location, here, in the Pier Hotel...a sliver of lawn, a "boardwalk" to stroll around Sidney's accessible waterfront, the Sidney Pier inviting you to walk out its length...a people and nature lover's treasure, here! Haros' restaurant offers great food, friendly service, and a thoughtful stylish ambiance...with that view! If you're a little early, or in a hurry, don't overlook the "bar side". Last night I had about an hour between ferries, & was so pleased to sit in the window seat, & though it was lateish, I enjoyed terrific pasta (chicken carbonara), fresh bread, good service...and went off into a January cool night warm inside and out. Highly recommend this, if you're in the Sidney area.

Marissa S.

Yelp
Stayed there for a night when we moved to town and it was great. Super friendly always clean. Great staff and food down in Haros! Even my dog liked it! Great pet friendly hotel and very clean for a room that's pet friendly. They left us a dog bed, water dish, treats and poo bags for our dog! She had all that but it made her excited. Bathroom was good too! Good shower with great soaps and shampoos provided

Andria S.

Yelp
Gorgeous small hotel right on the water in beautiful Sidney. In-house restaurant, cafe, spa and fitness centre. Beautiful artwork in the lobby. Lovely, calming atmosphere. I can't wait to stay here again!

Nicole C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed here in December of last year for 2 weeks and all I can say is that the Sidney Pier is amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the people working at the front desk( specifically Andrew and dawn). Since we were staying with them over Christmas, we were amazed to wake up to find a stocking hanging on our door filled with gingerbread men and chocolates :). The rooms are spectacular as well, especially the spa bathroom with the soaker tub, and of course you can't forget that amazing ocean view!
