I didn’t stay here but stopped in for a cold iced drink during my walk around town to get out of the heat. The Thai iced green milk tea was very good and the woman tending the cafe (owner?) trained a fan on me and was super friendly. I had the place to myself and it was nice and quiet. A perfectly acceptable stop and I have no complaints.

I’ve traveled a lot, and this is one of my favorite places I have stayed! Firstly, the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. They responded to my request to check in early and had my room ready 2 hours ahead of check in time which was much appreciated. After a few days stay, I left to do a mini retreat and they let me keep my suitcase there, then when I returned, they let me know my original room wasn’t available for the first night, but would put me back in it the next day if I wanted to change rooms. I agreed and the next day, I went out for breakfast and by the time I was back, they had the room ready and had even moved my bags for me. They really made my comfort a priority. ||Beds are very comfortable, nice bathrooms with a waterfall shower head, air conditioning works well, wifi connects easily and is fast, delicious coffee right downstairs, and the hotel is in a central but still quiet part of town! The only noises you really hear are when people within the hotel are locking and unlocking their doors, but the hotel is aware of it and working hard to address any complaints, as they have signs on every door requesting people shut them quietly. It really wasn’t an issue for me. I also used the laundry service twice while staying, which was affordable. All of my clothes were returned to me in perfect condition and nothing was shrunk, which I was shocked by, but very happy to see. ||Overall, I’d give this hotel 10 stars if I could! Would definitely stay again. Thank you for making my stay so wonderful and easy!

We had an amazing stay at the Sila. We just happened upon it when we stopped into the cafe for an iced coffee after visiting some temples. We had not picked a place to stay for the night and asked about a room. The proprietors (Eet and Iit - please excuse my bad spelling) are sisters, and they were very helpful and got us settled in a beautiful villa room for the first night. The second night we stayed in a room in the front part of the building. Both rooms were modern, immaculate, and so comfortable. Both rooms had nice balconies. The laundry service was very convenient. We were able to park in a private spot by the villa room, which was a luxury in the old city. The Sunday Night Market starts right in front of the hotel, and it is easy to walk to many beautiful temples and great restaurants. This was such a lucky find on short notice! If I come back to Chiang Mai, I will definitely stay at the Sila again. It was lovely.

Great place to stay in Chang Mai! Rooms are tasteful, clean and comfy and the location is great. What really sets The Sila apart is the staff and owner. So wam, friendly, and accommodating. As a solo traveler, the fact that they go out of the way to make you feel at home is really nice. They have some additional Air BB places nearby which I stayed in as well, they are beautiful!

Loved our stay here, the staff is exceptionally nice! We arrived at 5.30AM with the night bus and were already expecting having to stay busy until check in which is usually at 2PM. The hotel manager was really nice and enabled early check in for us at 11AM, which was perfect as we went for breakfast and a massage. The room was always super clean and the bed was really comfortable. Had the best sleep so far in this hotel! Overall great location, great service, optional breakfast that you can pay which was perfect for take away for early day trips. They give you 2 water bottles for free everyday and also offer washing clothes for a fee. Would definitely come back!

This is a great hotel conveniently located in Old Town Chiang Mai. Easy walking distance wherever we wanted to go, but plenty of tuk tuks and Grab cars around in the afternoon if it was too hot to walk. Whenever we entered the lobby, we were greeted with a welcoming "hello." The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. This was our second stay in this hotel, and we would stay again if we return to Chiang Mai.

Everything about this place was incredible. When we arrived the rooms we booked had a bad smell coming from the pipes in the bathrooms, and we complained. To fix it the nice woman who runs the place upgraded us to the villa rooms for only a small charge. We were extremely happy with these new rooms, we basically had an entire three story guest house to ourselves! And for an amazing price. This place is well worth the stay, and it was walking distance from everything.

Having visited Chiang Mai twice, both in June and November, Sila became my top choice, claiming a whopping 95% of my stay. That's how impressive this place is. Perfect location, spotless room, secure environment and great value for money. Couldn’t ask for more! The warm morning greetings and genuine welcomes each time I returned made Sila feel like a second home with superior room service. Highly recommended!
