Lovely hotel, clean, great location and friendly staff. My only complaint is the check in , 4 o’clock is too late for most people who are in Sydney for a special occasion. We had a 4 o’clock wedding, arrived at 3:15 after a 4 hour drive and the room was not ready. I had requested both by phone and email for an early check-in but was informed it could not be guaranteed. This is reason enough for me to book somewhere else in the future if I have a specific function to attend. I personally feel that knowing that 2 weddings were booking at their hotel they should have brought in extra staff to ensure a 45 min early check in could be accommodated.

I tried this hotel just to try something new and I was happy I did. The rooms are great! Good amenities. Clean and comfortable. Right on the waterfront so easy to leave and have a nice evening stroll. Nice restaurant at the hotel but also easy walk to others. Plenty of parking. It's a good experience!

Excellent city hotel on the water. Lovely overnight stay. comfy bed. Found the staff to be well versed on local attractions. No real downsides at all. Id go back and stayu again without any worry. Great coffee in the morning! Sydney is a nice city witha. friendly vibe where I enjoyed walking around.

Very nice hotel! Check in was fast and easy. The check in staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is very clean including the rooms. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We got breakfast from the restaurant at the hotel and it was also very good. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. It's in a great location with lots of convenient free parking. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

Great rooms, clean and spacious and fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. It is however very difficult to find this hidden viewpoint (follow the gym signs). Negative point: No possibility in the shower/bath to hang towels (even though there are enough walks and space).

Love the staff at this hotel. They are amazing and so friendly. Rooms are beautiful and very clean. The gym is beautiful. Berry clean and I loved its aesthetic. I do wish it had free breakfasts though. It would make it that much nicer but overall, great place.

I have stayed at the Simon Hotel many times for work and with sports teams - I stayed twice in the past 4 months. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They do not have cots, but many rooms come out with a pull out sofa (king bed in one room, pull-out sofa in the “main” room). I recommend checking this cot if you plan to use it. One time this year we had a comfortable cot but the other time it was truly horrible - thin, hard and extremely uncomfortable (my teen could not sleep). One night our room was next to the elevator and this kept us awake all night (a group of kids kept going in and out throughout the night, making it impossible to sleep if you are a light sleeper like I am). We were exhausted. I let the front staff know when we left early in the morning. They noted it but I feel that this could have been compensated in some form (discount iff next visit maybe or coupon to sue at the restaurant?). The next time I stayed there (less than 2 months later) I was sure to request a room away from the elevator. No issues with excess noise this time. The service by cleaning staff was excellent - efficient, clean and polite. Never had an issue. The restaurant Trio is fantastic. Try the chowder or the crème brûlée - both are delicious! Breakfast is very good but expensive.

The hotel itself is lovely and modern with a nice restaurant. The room was nice and bright. However, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and lumpy and the bathtub did not drain. Our room had a nice view of the water, but there was a loud festival right outside (which thankfully ended in the early evening). However, the local youths used the area outside as a skate park, so there was loud yelling and swearing outside all night (at 4 am). The hotel does not have a free breakfast but they did provide coffee upon request.

Yelp
Short Stay, Great Staff (50% of the time) After checking in with a extremely friendly and courteous desk clerk for the first night of my stay. I arrived at my room. When first entering the room the immediate entry way felt crowded as I was met with a half kitchenette (bar fridge, microwave, coffee maker). The counter as well as the assumable electrical panel in the book that is the kitchenette are definitely dated and worse for wear. It appears to have chew marks(?) on the counter and the electrical panel(?) Bares a outdated bulky metal cabinet. On the kitchenette is also disposable cups and hidden away from the coffee maker is a couple of coffee mugs. As I turned to the bathroom to ensure it was cleaned properly I found the usual amenities (shampoo, conditioner, soap). One of the bottles had some sort of stain type goop(?) On them and the bathroom door appears to have lost a fight to a blunt object as just under the unused metal bracket is a fist shaped hole/indent. The toilet seat appears to also have chew marks on it (hopefully from a pet as opposed to a child). The shower curtain is not big enough for the shower and appears to have been cut roughly to fit onto the shower curtain rod as opposed to installed properly. The toilet in the bathroom is now considered low and NOT comfort height which is surprising as the bathroom appears to have just been redone aside from the toilet and the bathtub The bedding appears clean and inviting. The TV set for the room is perched on top of a very well worn out dresser with wear and tear marks as well as questionable choice of pulls for the drawers. This is also seen on the desk in the room as well. The TV set itself is a mediocre size for the room at 24" and is connected to the old style Coax cable so picture clarity is sub par for 2021. The dresser the TV sits on is too low to be able to enjoy comfortably in bed. The room itself was exhaustively hot when entering and the "air conditioning" unit is outdated and outputs no cold air, the bottom panel of it is hanging on by sheer will of the metal panel. The controls for the unit are easy and intuitive however useless to cool down the room. The wallpaper throughout the room is peeling at every seem (possibly due to the heat in the room). The ice machines (located on the 3rd floor and in the basement) one works (basement one) and one does not work at all. I advised one desk clerk of this and they had no feedback regarding the issue. (Maybe they were tired of hearing it was broken?) Due to covid19 and the ongoing pandemic the free buffet is not happening and they offer a "breakfast to go bag" at the front desk from 6-10am. While coming and going I noticed multiple times the front desk clerk not actually at the front desk but in the chairs in the lobby playing on their phone/handheld device. With barely acknowledged someone entering the hotel or leaving the hotel. I'll advise construction is ongoing during my stay so this review will have no bias towards construction noise during hours throughout the day or the visibility of the common areas and focuses just on my room itself and the interactions with hotel staff. All in this would be a higher scored review if not for the lack of upkeep and modernization done to the room itself.

Yelp
Where is this hotel located? A block away from a homeless shelter.. you'll see people in their T-shirts, smoking cigarettes, and who knows what . They did a name change on the hotel without notifying any of their guest. It cost me an extra half hour driving around a busy street to find the hotel with the wrong name on it when you pull up. there's no parking up front unless your handicap to unload your luggage. they did a name change on the hotel without notifying any of their guest. Yelp
We stayed at the Cambridge suites during a recent business trip to Sydney. I have to say, I was very much impressed with this Hotel in Sydney. Having stayed at a few different hotels in Sydney, we wanted to try something new that offered breakfast and in the downtown core. We made our reservation over the phone the day of; pricing was very reasonable and the reservation staff on the phone very friendly. Upon arriving at the Hotel, check-in was prompt and courteous. When we arrived at our room, I was very impressed at the size of the room for the price. It had a living area with a separate bedroom with two queen beds. The windows in the room allowed you to open them if you felt the need for some fresh air. In the morning, we headed down to the restaurant for the free deluxe cotintental. It was good. A selection of morning pastries, cereal, toast & bagels, hard boiled eggs, coffee and juices. Overall a great place to stay if you're in Sydney for one night or a few.

Yelp
The best bargain in lodging in the entire time zone, near as we can tell. The Cambridge is a modern suites-oriented hotel, that seems to have a lot of business travelers, tucked into what passes for downtown in Sydney. We got a four-room suite (counting the bathroom and dressing room as rooms) with an ocean view for a song, and it was quiet, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable for four of us. The staff -- both front desk and housekeeping staff - were extremely helpful to us, and we appreciate the fact you can turn down chamber service. We used their laundry as well, which was reasonable and available, and the breakfast was quite ample if standard fare, with plenty of space to spread out in the restaurant. We used this as a base to explore the entire rest of the island, and that proved to be a good choice. You can get north to the Cabot Trail in a little over an hour, and Louisbourg is just a half hour to the south. The lodging price here at the Cambridge was probably a third of what was being charged closer to the "sights" and as noted, it was quite comfortable. Very warmly recommended, and my son's new favorite hotel of all-time.

Yelp
My sister and niece are staying at this hotel. They were refused by hotel cleaning because my niece is epileptic and the cleaning staff said they wouldn't clean because she may have a seizure. Management said this is a health care facility. Really Cambridge Suites?

Yelp
Ok, let me begin by saying, I have stayed at the Cambridge Suites locations in the past in both Toronto and Halifax and they proved satisfactory. Which makes me wonder. What happened here? SImply put, this room was a 1994 flashback. Shiny honey oak, plywood unfinished cabinetry in the kitchenette with uber-overpriced crappy wine. Let me say, it was not conducive to a romantic atmosphere. In fact, It was more like a budget hotel in Cavendish. We were expecting a modem room with tasteful furnishings. This room had gross window treatments, mismatched furnishings (I'm talking dated wood with rod iron and glass tables combined....... Did they furnish this room at local yard sales or what?) It's an embarrassment to think, this is what 'out of towners' see! Is this is the best they can offer in beautiful industrial Cape Breton!?? The room was clean, but surely they could have done far better.

Yelp
Floors, carpets and couch were dirty. Kitchenette meagerly equipped. Not up to snuff for Cambridge chain.

Yelp
We stayed here for a night of our honeymoon and upgraded to the Romance Package. The room was nice until we noticed the pile of fingernail clippings on the floor in front of the couch, and it took three calls and 15 - 20 minutes to get someone up there to vacuum them up. The room looked clean otherwise, but that kind of an oversight always makes you questions what else was not cleaned properly. Although the rest of the stay was fine, that pile of fingernail clippings was hard to forget.
