The Slow Buffalo

10 out of 10. I had the steak sandwich and it was AMAZING! also, a mule for my drink. Everything was delicious! The bartender was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Everyone worked together as a team! It was PACKED at 1 pm on a Wednesday. I will definitely be back! They also have a cool rewards system too, be sure to give them your number at the end to be added on!

Such a cool vibe in this little gem of an establishment! Huge improvement from the last. Staff was smiling at me when I walked through the door.. Very friendly & fast to assist me. Pretty, too ; ) The food is fantastic & reasonably priced . Focusing on those Bison burgers, Very good! Chips& Pico are so fresh & delicious. Sweet potato waffle fries were light, crispy and scrumptious. Add some ranch🔥! Can't wait to try the fish fry w/ potato pancakes? ⚡BONUS ⚡ They have a pick up window! Great to have this place in the neighborhood! I strongly recommend👍🏼

It was pretty good! Staff was friendly and willing to make suggestions on food to make our experience better which is always appreciated. Food was great! The only suggestion I have is on the bang bang shrimp tacos—a corn tortilla, in my opinion, would make it so much better. Or the option of flour or corn? Or ignore me, I just love corn tortillas.. 😂

Don’t let the size of the place scare you! We visited tonight (Friday at 5:30) and the place was PACKED. We got seated within 5 minutes after being told a 15 min wait. Server? Fast. Food delivery? Even faster. The taste? AMAZING! Highly highly highly recommend! Make this your MUST TRY PLACE! I ordered the dill pickle burger, phenomenal!!!

First time at this establishment which is 45 minutes from my house. Arrived around 5:30 to meet a friend and before the crowd amassed, but still had to park on the street. It got a little noisy once the place filled up entirely. Server was very attentive. Place was clean. Prices reasonable. Food was good, bison burger could have been done just a bit more inside even though it was ordered "red" (you only get two options red or not). Chicken and rice soup was served hot and tasted ok. Cheese curds were good but greasy and I would have preferred the option of having plain ranch vs the spicy dipping sauce. Everything kind of came out at once-need to stage the food better. Drink was average tasting but made as ordered. I would recommend it and give it another try myself, maybe for the fish fry.

Great neighborhood place! I got one of their weekly specials (Nashville hot chicken) and it was amazing! Great flavors and a big sandwich for a great price. I also really enjoy the ranch and French fries. Definitely recommend.

Adorable little corner bar with upscale food. It was busy but we were quickly seated despite a large family of 6. Waitress, Kayla, was incredible described the specials without prompt, make suggestions, and was quick with refills. Food was excellent. Everyone thought there food was great. Fried cheese was yummy, we had the TexMex burger, steak tacos, chicken bacon ranch tacos, nachos, bacon and blue mushroom Swiss burger, and the Mac and cheese bite burger that was on special. Hearty portion of the sides (sweat potato waffle fries were fabulous). I would definitely visit again. Food was fast, hot and delicious, didn't have room for the carrot cake but next time we'll be sure to save room.

Delicious. I had the pickle burger and he had the smashed burger tacos. A bit spendy if you're thinking 'bar food' - but this is also better than what you're thinking is 'bar food' 🙂

Been there twice in 2 weeks. It's a small place with limited parking ( but plenty of street parking). And only about 5 4-tops, and about 5 2-tops, so not good for a large group. BUT‐ the food is AWESOME. I loved the brussel sprout appetizer, and the Bacon Blue Mushroom burger. The French Onion burger was really good too. (Others in my family have tried to shrimp po-boy and shrimp tacos and gave them a thumbs up) Staff is super helpful and friendly. Shout out to Kayla. Will definitely be back.

This was the new restaurant to try after my first attempt was a total train wreck but I'm not getting into that and I would come back another time. The place is nothing like the dark dingy bar of 27 years. Today it's remodeled nicely and decor is modern and bright. It's still small with a small bar and some side tables. My server was very friendly. I have been on a cheesesteak streak when I see them on a menu I get one and I'm usually disappointed with how skimpy the steak usually is or the wrong cheese like Swiss etc etc. The cheesesteak looked good with steak over flowing and plenty of bacon on top, no skimping on this one. It's not a traditional cheesesteak because it was cheese sauce and grilled onions, no peppers. The cheesesteak was good and all the overflowing steak broke through the roll and was falling out the bottom. The cheese sauce is my favorite cheese for a cheesesteak and it was very creamy. The frys were thin cooked to order hot with a crispy shell and soft center. Overall this cheesesteak was the best I have had in a while and they don't skimp on the meat. I would definitely go back and try more of the menu.

The Slow Buffalo is owned by the same group that owns the Hale House, only the SB is more like a sports bar, where HH is more like a traditional restaurant. We stopped in because of the specials they were having: an elote chicken sandwich for me and cheeseburger quesadilla for him. My sandwich was very big and was hard to take a bite of, but I like 'em that way, lol! The chicken was a fried chicken breast and was NOT overcooked. The elote topping was creamy and a nice accessory to the chicken. To top it off, arugula was also on it and was the perfect topping instead of typical lettuce. The sandwich came with a boatload of fries which were a smidge overcooked and dry, but not so terrible that we couldn't eat them. I didn't try the quesadilla, but it looked full and delicious, and came with a side of dipping cheese. We started out with an order of cheese curds, and they were awesome! Perfectly browned and crisped little cubes with a very light coating and a ranch dipping sauce. Delish!!! We got a slice of chocolate cake to go and holy moly! The thing was HUGE! We are both chocoholics, but that one slice took us 2 days to finish....it was sooooo good, though! I can't speak for hubs, but I would definitely go back. 39/2025

Me and two of my friends been wanting to come here so two of us can try the smash burgers and the other one can try the wings. But due to us being under the weather this month, we FINALLY was able to come here over Memorial Day weekend. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a hostess and chose to sit in the dining area. We went over the drink menu and food menu and placed our orders right away. I went with the byo burger with American cheese and pickles, my friend with the byo (cheddar, lettuce, tomato & sauteed onions) and his girlfriend went with 6 buffalo and 6 spicy garlic wings. We didn't have to wait long and from looking at my food being passed over to me I couldn't wait to dig in! After taking off the top bun to put on my condiments, I noticed that it was kind of cold like it was just taken out of the walk in cooler. It was very lightly toasted but it was still odd that it is toasted and cold at the same time but I looked past it. My friend noticed the same thing with his bun as well but he also looked past it too. The "sauteed" onions were diced onions and weren't caramelized like you would think. They looked like they were cooked in butter but did not give them the sauteed treatment. You're typical smash burger is smashed thin and has a caramelized top and crispy edges, but these burgers didn't have any of the features that a smash burger should have like you would get at Archie's. However, I will say it was seasoned well, was juicy and the pickles were nice and crisp. Not to mention the fries were crispy hot with a soft potato center. My friend who ordered the wings were a nice size and she said the flavors were really good. Her boyfriend tried one of the buffalo wings and agreed it was quite tasty. Overall, the burger was good but I wouldn't call it smash burger. It's more of a double cheeseburger in my opinion but overall it was a delicious. I would have it again and even give the fish fry a try. I would actually give it 3.5 stars but it's not AN option.

Here is my barometer for The Slow Buffalo-It is related to The Local, so it has to be great and I must try it. The 3 establishments tied together are all excellent. They have a good formula and menu for each location. I know The Local's burgers are legit, so I got the blue cheese, bacon, Swiss burger. It comes with a double smash patty compilation. The fries are hot and fresh and so is the burger. The service was very friendly and attentive. It is nice to see quality food come to this area. It is a bit of a food/restaurant desert in my opinion, and cannot see how this place is not going to blow up. I'm glad I went here before it does and the ownership should be proud of it's commitment to excellence, and delivering the quality at each location.

I searched for best wings and this place popped up. I ordered 12 of the Buffalo bonus wings and an order of fries. The wings have a dry rub and then the Buffalo sauce as well. I won't say they were the best wings I have ever had, but they had very good flavor and a nice spice level. The fries were also very good. The place is not real big inside. Maybe 12 tables or so and maybe 20-25? Seats around the bar. Very nice and friendly staff! All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked very good, so I will definitely be back to try more things out!

Food and service was so good; we are in the area about once a month and will be back! We had the honey chicken wrap and the bacon cheesesteak sandwich. I can't wait to try the dill pickle burger next time !! The honey aioli and garlic aioli are delicious

Went there on a Friday night at around 5:30. The place was packed, but there were a few open spots at the bar. There was a wait for a table, but it wasn't too long. I sat at the bar and the server immediately asked me if I wanted to see a food menu and told me about the specials. I ordered a drink while I looked over the menu and decided to build my own burger. The food came out pretty quickly and tasted good. I also got the cheesy bacon fries as an upgrade and they were delicious. I think I would like to return there and try their wings one day. It seemed like a fun little neighborhood spot.

The minute we walked into this place we felt welcomed and at home. Ladies behind the bar were so friendly. The place was so clean! My husband ordered the sandwich special and not only was it delicious but it was huge!! Same with my Brie bacon burger. We both left with a full tummy, happy tastebuds and leftovers. Our waitress Kayla was amazing! So personable and on top of all of our needs. Added bonus was how quickly the food came out!! Wow!! We will be back!! Glad to welcome this new hot spot to our neighborhood

I loved it! Got the Brussels sprouts and so much bacon!!! The sauce was amazing! Overall charming little neighborhood place with a nod to higher end American grill.

Stopped for lunch. Extremely cute and cozy pub, recently updated and it looks great. Food and drinks were delicious ( Bleu cheese burger). Staff super friendly too. Will be back!

The food was very good. I ordered their wings, someone had a burger and we had some appetizers. Everything was very good. They have specials too that are really good. The waitress was the best. Our service couldn't have been better. We went on a Sunday for bloody Mary's and they were also good. It's are really nice place inside and very comfortable and nice and clean. Would recommend trying this new place.

We stopped for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and provided incredible service. We had the brussel sprouts, cheese curds and the chicken sandwich. The food was all hot and delicious and served quickly. The wine pours were on the smaller side but decent. We sat at a high top in the bar. Even at an early hour, it was getting crowded and understandably so.

Hamburgers are perfect we have been to both sister restaurants and this one is better for us because of their proximity. Please add dessert like the hale house The carrot cake is the best and biggest slice in the world

The food was hot and fresh. Well seasoned burgers and fries. Great and friendly service. Very involved in customer preferences. Wood definitely be coming back here again with friends. Would recommend to anyone who wants prompt service. Hot and fresh food. Without a long wait. Most of all. Food is very, very good. Mike and Krissy.

The food was terrific! Ordered the French Onion burger, Steak tacos and the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. The waitress was welcoming and attentive. My only downside was the fact that we had not been asked if we wanted anything else or another cocktail before being presented with the bill. After paying we were told that we had a "15 minute grace period" before having to vacate the table. It put a sour taste in my mouth after such a delicious meal.

Service and food were great . Very friendly staff. Brussels sprouts and entrees were excellent. The music was too loud. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I stopped on 5/7/25; the waitress said I'll be right with you as we walked through the door, so we stood there - 8 minutes later the gentleman from behind the bar came to us and said sit wherever you would like, which the waitress could have just said that, we both ordered cheeseburgers, absolutely no seasoning on the burgers whatsoever. As I took the third bite a woman walks in very loud and obnoxious almost falling, she's yelling to one of the men behind the bar about being on tv this morning and she's standing right next to me yelling in my ear. Then proceeds to yell about being the mother of the GM - now she was an older woman who either didn't care or was drunk - but I shouldn't have to listen to her literally 12 inches from me yelling like a child. I put my burger down and couldn't finish it. The atmosphere is a playground, service was slow, nobody really designated to us and no apologies to the rude woman making a fool of herself. Then original waitress walked so heavy that it was uncomfortable having her walk past us many times, it was like the feeling of sitting on the bleachers and the kids stomping up the bleachers using the seats instead of where you put your feet. It was pretty pathetic. As I watched a couple across from you the gentleman had a hard time hearing his companion, it was very obvious. We spent $45.00 for what? A headache, not being able to finish our dinner, and when I got home my stomach wasn't feeling the best. I will never waste my time again. The employees should lead by example, because I as a Mother, would have never acted like that in my daughters workplace. She should be ashamed of herself.
