The small house in the yard - Pension Remise Blumberg

I returned here a year later with my wife after staying for a business trip. It seemed even better the second time when we could enjoy the relaxed atmosphere to the full. It is in a perfect position to enjoy the beautiful city of Potsdam, with an entrance to SansSouci park just round the corner, and lots of restaurants and shops within 5-15 minutes walking time. Berlin is around 30 minutes away. || The breakfast is presided over by our host Annette Ketzer who seems to take a pride in making sure it is as delicious as could be, and suits all tastes. She adds to the overall feeling of calm, and will offer precise and useful directions when appropriate. Their list of local restaurants was found very useful. The free transport throughout the Berlin area made for very relaxed tourism.|| Our rooms were airy, large, and comfortable. The rooms are situated in a courtyard shaded by walnut trees. A mirror other than those in the bathroom was the only thing we found missing. || It is a lovely place to stay.

Excellent bed and breakfast in superb location. Easy to find, just a few minutes walk from old Potsdam tourist attractions. Free parking down a fairly narrow driveway to the reception and accomodation. Really nice large ensuite rooms, (ours was up a short flight of external stairs), lovely breakfast, everywhere spotlessly clean. Extremely nice and helpful hosts, happy to provide advice and information on activities/transport etc. One of the best services offered at this B&B is free transport passes, valid for any form of transport around Potsdam as well as into and around Berlin itself. Well worthwhile, as the sights are pretty spread out! We stayed 3 nights and would have been happy to stay at least a week, there is so much to do, and Potsdam is such a great base.

The room was extremely comfortable and spacious and your breakfasts left us wanting for nothing. The variety of food was amazing. The transport card you provided with our room was a bonus and made it so easy to get around not only your beautiful area but Berlin as well. Thank you.

We stayed in a family apartment fronting onto the courtyard. The apartment was very spacious, clean and well equipped with a large comfortable bed. Annette looked after us very well (including our baby girl who was provided with a high chair etc.) and the breakfasts were excellent. There is free parking in the courtyard but it can be a little tight, especially with a larger car. Free wireless internet, but a bit patchy in the bedroom (OK in dining area). The pension is very well situated for exploring Potsdam, especially the Sanssouci Park (5 mins walk away). The free transport pass provided to guests for use in Potsdam and Berlin is also very generous! In fact, very good value in all respects. The only slight negative is some noise from the adjoining construction site, but this would be temporary.

This is in the perfect location for walking around Potsdam. We spent four days here and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and the breakfasts were great. Annette was very helpful and recommended several local restaurants and sights to see. The room had a small kitchen area which was great for making snacks and they provided coffee and a coffee machine. Room was very large and comfortable.

This was our third visit to Remise Bloomberg. The location, the kindness of the manager, and the free bus/subway tickets to Berlin and Potsdam make this place so special. The breakfast, still as plentiful and varied, leaves you satisfied. The small parking lot in the inner courtyard was full, so Mrs. Ketzer arranged for us to park our car in an official parking lot nearby at no charge. The only disappointment was the room arrangement. This time we were given an apartment that was quite large, (actually two floors), but not very comfortable with outdated furnishings. The bathroom modern, the small kitchen well equipped and the bed comfortable. However, having to climb many metal stairs to reach the top floor with much of the space totally useless was disappointing. The rooms we occupied on previous visits were cozy and lovely.||Still a great place to spend a few days in this amazing city.

This was our second visit to Remise Blumberg, and just as enjoyable as the first time.||We occupied room # 2, with a good sized bedroom, very large modern bathroom with tub/shower, and a compact kitchen. There are two large windows in the bedroom, but NO view. The room overlooks the roof of the building. The room was very quiet, no street noise to speak of.||The breakfast is still as plentiful, with lots of fresh fruit, cheeses, cold cuts and cereals.||There is parking on the premises, though a bit tight. We stayed 4 days, never took the car to any sights, as bus, tram and subway tickets to Berlin are included in the price. The landlady, who speaks excellent English, will gladly give directions to Berlin. Taking public transportation is the best way to see Museum island, and other sights in Berlin. The B&B is only a few minutes' stroll to reach Sanssouci. For history buffs, Neues Schloss, further up the park is also worth visiting. If you are thinking of visiting Potsdam and Berlin, Remise Blumberg is the place to stay and enjoy.
