The Smugglers Inn

I return here year after year. Fantastic location literally on the beach, food here is absolutely delicious, dined here lately and I have never had such delicious tasty food and I'm fussy about food! I'm a vegetarian and the vegetarian dish was fantastic, the food was so good I didn't want my meal to be over. Super comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Always a great welcome here, lovely staff. Gillian is a pure gem,so friendly, helpful and kind. Thanks to everyone at the Smugglers Inn.

The Smugglers Inn had been recommended by friends and it did not disappoint. We stayed for one night which included a meal in the evening and breakfast. The setting is stunning. The meal was delicious and the breakfast menu was excellent. Accommodation was nicely designed, clean and comfortable and Wi-Fi was free. (The only issue…. why do interior designers of bathrooms place shelves above sinks so the only way of getting your face over the sink is to risk concussion 🤕!)|The staff are fabulous! Very friendly, helpful and welcoming. A special shout out to Charlie!|Well worth a visit, Kerry’s beauty sells itself and The Smugglers Inn is the icing on the cake!

Had 3 rooms and a very fun time. Views are amazing. Staff and so welcoming. Beds and linens comfortable. Spa / hot tub enjoyed by the adult kids. Overall a lovely memory - thanks to all there!

Even before we arrived we felt welcomed with follow up call. On arrival we were again made feel so welcome and got a fabulous upgrade. The room was amazing! The views spectacular! We felt we were alone on the wild Atlantic seafront . Next time we will plan a 2 night stay and enjoy dinner also. Breakfast was lovely.

I was a traveling Chef through Ireland. I loved loved the Smugglers Inn in Waterville. The food and service were absolutely wonderful. The group I was with had dinner on a Saturday and liked it so much we went back on a Monday. Typically, I do not take the time to write reviews. Ideal location for us right beside Waterville Golf Club. Large clean rooms. Staff were excellent especially the Greek barman and the ladies who served us breakfast. Again they arranged an early breakfast on one of the mornings we had to leave early

Absolutely loved my stay at The Smugglers Inn in Waterville. The place is warm and welcoming. Juliann was incredibly kind and made me feel right at home. The seafood chowder was unbelievable, easily the best I’ve ever had in my life. The inn is peaceful, right by the sea with beautiful views, and the staff were all lovely. My room was clean and comfortable. A perfect stop along the coast. I’d definitely come back.

My wife Rosemary and I, recently had the good fortune of dining at The Smuggler's Inn with very close family visiting us from the UK. This was to celebrate the joyous occasion of their Emerald Wedding Anniversary (55 years).||Although we have dined at The Smuggler's Inn quite a lot over the years, this was actually their very first visit to the restaurant, and to say they were impressed would|be an understatement. From the very moment of our arrival, we were all treated with a level of service that was truly impeccable and clearly an elaborate ceremony of almost forgotten rituals.||Nothing was too much trouble for Henry and his team. When we were taken to our table there was a beautiful greetings card personally addressed to our guests, and|despite the restaurant being extremely busy, literally everyone who attended to our service made a point of congratulating them on their celebratory anniversary.||The food was outstanding, all cooked to perfection, and paired with an excellent|choice of wine recommended by our server. If this wasn't enough, as we were about|to eat our mouth-watering desserts, an exquisite platter of petit fours arrived at our table with a very kind and personal message to our guests, written on the plate in|chocolate.||As you can imagine, they were quite touched by this very thoughtful gesture, and|insisted that we returned a couple of days later to treat us to Sunday lunch.||The Smuggler's Inn is quite simply the yardstick by which other restaurants should be|judged.||A very big 'Thank You' to Henry and the entire team.||Looking forward to seeing you again soon.||Peter and Rosemary Holthusen Laharn South, Caherciveen
