The SnowCastle of Kemi

I visited the Snow Castle based on the enticing pics on the website. It looked breathtakingly stunning. But I was sadly disappointed. The items on show were very few. They were beautifully sculptured. No doubt about that. But the variety were so limited compared to what is depicted on the ads. It is not worth the price. The Snow slide was small and nothing to rave about. The picture with the Sampo was nice. But still it was very disappointing. I'm coming again in December. I'm really hoping to see a fantastic display this time round.

Kemi, is a lovely place to explore, all year round, but magical in the winter months. Although the centre hosts an all year round version of the old snow castle, Kemi now provides a great little adventure park, made in the snow castle tradition for families and the youn to enjoy a few little slide and spins while appreciating the skills of creating ice sculptures. Its a small city that is a centre if live misic throughout most if the year and needs to be reinvigorated by the young making a mark on this beautiful small city. So, come and make your mark on Kemi with your friends. JD 😊 👍

I visited the castle in August. It was nice but I expected it to be bigger. Surely a nice experience for people who have no possibility to see icecastels in winter time.

Really unique and nice snow and ice castle experience to visit. This is also nice place for adults to visit. Very good value for money. No waiting lines or rush on a week day in February. With the same ticket you can visit both the outdoor winter snow castle and the year around open indoor ice castle 365 experience. Also very nice restaurant and cafeteria. Recommended place to visit if you happen to be near city of Kemi.

I visited The SnowCastle of Kemi in Finland toward the end of the season, and it was an awesome experience! Some of the sculptures had started to melt sadly (a few missing arms and smaller details), but it didn’t take away from how incredible the whole setup was! They had an awesome ice slide that both the kids and adults were overjoyed with sliding down! It was definitely a highlight to see all the happy faces! The merchandise shop was impressive too, with lots of great souvenirs including clothing and home items. A great variety! They also have a cafe offering drinks and snacks. I almost missed the actual SnowCastle! It’s a short walk across the parking lot from the main building (easy to overlook if not paying attention because it looks like a warehouse). The driveway was very slippery with black ice when we visited, and there were several buses coming in and out. I made sure to tread extra slow. Thankfully, I wore some really good snow boots! Overall, it was a really cool experience! Unique, fun, and worth the visit!

This snow sculpture was a bit underwhelming. Judging from the pictures posted earlier on, it seemed like a good bet. It was very lovely, no disputing that, but it was certainly not worth the ticket price. There was one short slide, which was not exhilarating at all. The sculptures were very limited. If 2 tour groups arrive at the same time, there is NO space for everyone to enjoy everything. The ship was perhaps the highlight because you could take some posed pictures there. The seat as well, if you could get in there. It was certainly lovely and I am in awe of the sculptures, but I don't know why the ads are so misleading. It didn't take us take to finish it, except the crowds. But less than half an hour is enough. I would like to suggest that this should be included in the price of the IceBreaker excursion.

The castle outside wasn't opened. Paying 30€ per adult was really disappointing for such little content to visit, as the snow castle outside isn't opened yet to the public. Would not recommend to only visit the gemstones and the 365 experience for spending ..maybe 30 minutes in this place.

The SnowCastle of Kemi can be part of your winter wonderland experience. The intricate ice sculptures were fascinating to see, each one a masterpiece of artistry and craftsmanship. The highlight was definitely the giant ice slide, which was incredibly fun and added a playful touch to the enchanting atmosphere. A truly unique and memorable experience.
