"Known mostly for its Westfield shopping center and hordes of commuters waiting for buses and trains, Bondi Junction is the unlikely locale for an underground bar and music venue. But Spring Street Social is the newest venture to help Sydneysiders get through the work week. After walking down a narrow stairwell squeezed between a dry cleaners and a fitness center, you'll be transported into a candlelit cave of worn leather armchairs, antique fringed lampshades, a chess-board coffee table, and a backlit bar lined with a row of unlabeled bottles that just so happened to be filled with house-made bitters—peach, rhubarb, grapefruit, apple, whiskey, orange and their version of Angostura. The most popular cocktail, Chase the Dragon is mixed with apple pie–infused rye, Cognac, bitters, cinnamon, and applewood smoke. There's also a four-page list of craft beer from around the world, categorized by style. Hump Day kicks off with live music—both in the bar and a larger attached venue—that lasts through the weekend."

What used to be Spring St Social has now become this new restaurant serving authentic Middle Eastern food in a new ambience. The food was pretty good although I have been to better Middle Eastern cuisine restaurants in Sydney. Would go again for the live music and what the Social was known for, or to get a cocktail - but probably not just for dinner.

Came here coz it's connected to the nightclub/band space underground stair thingy. Young Gen Z kids were here coz they too broke to pay and go through to the ticketed event in the nightclub space. This restaurant closes at 12am. Anyways The bartender played house Mashups really loud and he is fun. I think he said he sold the place or something. He also was great at making cocktails.

Recently attended an event where we got to sample the new menu and holy hell are you in for a real treat. The menu was designed by Dining with Kago and it's absolutely phenomenal. The range is huge from steaks to burrata, delicious kingfish and crudo cuts to flaming chorizo an tartare. The setup was epic with live music and staff roaming to provide drinks throughout the night. The venue was awesome, super cool vibe for an undergound bar and perfect for intimate or events. Had a blastand can't wait to attend for dinner soon!

Spring St Social is a pretty cool bar in Bondi Junction. It's not far from Bondi Junction train station and westfield. It's an underground bar with a great atmosphere with live music some nights. The drinks selection is massive and the bartender made me a pretty good pineapple cocktail. I tried some of the food there. The head chef was originally from Hong Kong so there is an asian influenced menu. My favourites were the truffle fried rice and wagyu beef tataki with asian chimmi churri. I'll be coming here for drinks next Friday night.

Spring Street Social is an awesome speakers type venue, hidden underground on Spring Street in Bondi Junction. Enter down the rabbit hole via the staircase, into this basement entertainment space, with a fully stocked bar and a kitchen pumping out some enticing bites. The kitchen is headed by new chef Kago Fong with his inspired asian tapas menu.
Whilst enjoying the entertainment on offer including live music and comedy shows you can savour some delicious snacks including; deep fried prawn and pork dumplings with black bean vinegar, seared wagyu beef tataki with a teriyaki and sesame chimichurri, mini pork sliders with 5 spice mayo and steamed XO scallops to name a few. There are also larger meals on offer and the truffle fried rice was certainly a tasty option. There are some creative treats with cream cheese dumplings with a dark chocolate ganache dipping sauce and Chinese doughnuts with matcha peanut butter. Who wouldn't want to give this a go!
The bar has a good range of beer on tap, wine and list of cocktails to tempt you. A bunch of classic cocktails are on offer with the Spring Street Social touch. There is even a dessert cocktail list, with the naughty nutella or choccy doughnut. Spring Street Social provides the whole package, with a cool venue, great food and drinks too. It's always great to visit another live entertainment venue in Sydney, and especially when they're opening up in places that have been missing interesting spots like this until now.

New owners and new menu. no longer the dumplings everyone in the reviews raves about. Its now middle eastern which was average, and took a while to come out. wasnt quite what we expected and over priced. Music was far too loud for a dining restaurant we had to yell to be heard over it. Waitress was very lovely and did her best. I took and out of town friend and was very embarrassed, but we decided to stay it out. This restaurant is no longer deserving of the reviews it previously received, and they should be wiped as the only thing that the same is the bricks and mortar.

Cannot recommend this place enough, spend two nights here and it was quick service and Taylor looked after us and made sure we were well looked after; didn’t even have an empty cup before she was offering a refill! If you want a relaxed night 100% recommend this place, if you’re looking for a busy night from Thursday-Saturday 1000% recommended here! You’ve got a casual bar pumping and out the back is a club you couldn’t ask for anything more!
