What an amazing hotel! We stayed here for a 3 night stay and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the room (Deluxe Queen) which had a TV and a lovely bathroom. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful with requests. The nearest metro is a 5 min walk (Wibautstraat) taking you all the way into central and all of the other districts. The tram and bus stops are very close too, use the metro to cross the road to the supermarket which also, has a great choice. The breakfast was amazing and well worth the price with an amazing choice of food to set us up for a day of exploring. Photo attached of my choice. Not to mention, the decor was super cool and definitely very trendy. Only criticism, pillows could use some changing, they are more cushion shaped than pillow shaped, and took a night of getting used to. And, if you’re on the top floor, it appears that certain smells may come through the extractor fan as people enjoy some evening delights on the roof. 🍃💨 We weren’t offended by it, and it’s Amsterdam, so to be expected!

Nice and clean room with comfortable pillows. I really enjoyed that they have books in the room, and found myself reading a bit everyday. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel breakfast was ok. Even though they didn't offer to many vegan options (like vegan cheese etc), I didn't have to go hungry. We also had dinner in the restaurant and that was good as well.

The rooms were nice and staff were very friendly. The hotel needs a little work but all in all it's very nice. For example there was a corridor door which was always jammed. The problems we faced were: The renovation they're doing with workmen banging materials all day long including the afternoon. On informing reception, they changed our room but still there was banging up our heads. The TV for the room they gave us was not working for mobile sharing, and believe it or not there were zero english channels in both room TVs. On one night there was an event at their only restaurant so they closed it off for the hotel guests. I would have expected that they leave a part open for their hotel guests or at least keep the food shop open a little later not close it too. This since there are no eateries in the vicinity. I suggest that they don't rent rooms next to renovations or else inform those guests in advance and give them a better rate. TVs should have English. The restaurants and food shop should never be both closed before 10pm.

Very modern style with exposed concrete, trunking and lighting styles all over the building. The accommodation is dual shared with students so a lovely young vibe. The staff are really helpful and nice however the breakfast is poor. None of the hot food is hot. Only lukewarm. Had to get mine microwaved a few times. The Friday night when we were here the bar closed at 10pm because they didn't have the staff. So after ordering a drink at 9.45pm we were then asked to leave at 10pm and move to the lobby. When we finished and were heading back to our room we could see the bar was open but the door was locked. Can't explain why?

The only good thing about this hotel was the location and the cookies in the reception. People working at the reception were always so kind and helpful, but it’s hard to look past the most important part of our stay, which was a the hotel room. I have never in my life seen such a dirty hotel room. The first day we arrived and there was food and oil smeared all over the kitchen counters and walls. The microwave was covered in oil and smelled. I went to the reception and requested for it to be cleaned but the cleaners didn’t show up the next day. I went to the reception again and requested for it to be cleaned the second time, yet again no one showed up to clean it the day after. I went to Albert Hejin to buy cleaning supplies and deep cleaned the kitchen furniture myself, because we needed somewhere to make food. I requested for the microwave to be cleaned multiple times after that and three weeks later someone finally showed up. She cleaned the microwave door very angrily, only opened it, and then slammed the door closed. After that she proceeded to tell me “Sorry. It is not our job to clean the microwave”. After only having cleaned the microwave door from the outside, she left. Thankfully someone from the reception came up to change the broken microwave plate, she apologized and cleaned the microwave herself. The microwave was cleaned by the lady from the reception and not by the housekeeper. If I pay over 3000€ a month to stay at a hotel, I would expect the room I’m staying at to be cleaned beforehand. The towels they cave us were often dirty and so were the bedsheets. Plus, housekeeping broke a plant I was gifted. Didn’t even clean it up, dirt and broken parts of the vase were all over the floor for weeks. They often didn’t pick up the trash, so we left it behind the door. Two months into our stay and we got a angry lady behind our door telling us to not leave trash behind the door and take it out ourselves. We went to reception to find out what is going on, never have we heard of a hotel where you have to take out your own trash. Turned out that we do have to take out our own trash but the reception forgot to mention it to us when we checked in. No signs up at the hotel nor our room, no letter after the booking stating it, nothing marked at their website, and no one telling us that this was required, how are guests supposed to know that? The shower head was broken the whole stay and leaked from the sides. The sink was clogged half of the stay, until we finally got someone to fix it. There was so many things wrong with our room which should all be unacceptable in a hotel. The dust buildup on the furniture still amazes me. Our stay was awful when it comes to the room and housekeeping. We had the extended stay, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Bathroom was covered in mold. This is primarily inhabited by students of the nearby University. This is not clearly displayed on booking websites. Close to most attractions via walking or Public Transportation but I wouldn’t stay here again. Additionally the employee laptops that have all the guests information is carelessly left unattended at the self check in/check out which led to a mishap that left my partner and I quite upset. More than that it was the mold and the shower not draining properly even after calling the front desk and them ensuring us that maintenance would fix it, that that left us the most upset.

The hall was intense and vibrant with all young students/guests around and the overall structure was impressive. The cordiality and attention of the staff was outstanding! The good size of the room, cleanliness and quality of the bed and shower also positive things to be mentioned. Last, but also a very important note, the breakfast was amazing! Variety, quality and a beautiful and pleasant place to be and have a delicious meal to start your day in a good mood.||||One tip for improvement: all pillows had the same softness structure...I would suggest to have 1 pair of soft pillows and 1 pair of more firm ones, so you could attend all guests preference. Besides that, I had only one negative point to mention. I was working in my room, after breakfast, and I called the reception to ask if I could have one extra hour and do my checkout at 1pm, instead of 12pm; but I was told I was supposed to pay 25EUR/per extra hour. Not a deal here...too much expensive for just an extra hour!
