We would stay again. Perhaps that's the best reference. It's tired, there is no doubt, but the room was totally adequate and the bed was really comfortable. Housekeeping everyday and towels/ bedlinen of a high standard. Our room was quiet ( not on Flinders Street but not sure how that would affect things) and we were able to open all the windows which was brilliant. Good access to Rundle Street and Hutt Street for meals. 10-15 minute walk to Rundle Mall. We really have nothing to complain about. Staff were helpful. It's not staffed 24/7.

We had a truly exceptional experience—something we had not encountered before in Adelaide. The Soho hotel is ideally situated in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, offering a restful environment completely free from noise disturbances throughout our stay. The interiors are tastefully designed, featuring a distinctive and stylish décor that adds character to the property. The service at the reception was outstanding—professional, attentive, and consistently warm. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests promptly and with genuine care. Our room was modern, spotless, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent—well-prepared, satisfying, and offered at a very reasonable price point. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable stay, and we would gladly return on a future visit to Adelaide.

A boutique hotel located on the East End of CBD, short walk from some eateries for convenience. However lovely looking photos on website, it was but a very run down small hotel in reality. Street parking available but can be a challenge as limited space for drop off pick up loading zone. Check in check out was quick with ease, upon leaving just return key in locked box at front counter and no interaction with staff required. **Very disappointed ** their much advertised hotel’s roof top heated pool was closed for the next few months. This was not mentioned on their website! This should have been stated upon booking, I guess this is their “not asked, don’t tell” kind of rule, my bad. The room itself; Bed comfortable, however found a sharp broken piece of plastic “something” in the sheets, could have been a bloodshed or other horror stories, luckily not. TV is not a smart tv. No bedside lamps. 2 lights were not working but it was too late in the night so couldn’t be bothered to follow up. You’d link this was checked by staff beforehand. The bathroom had no ventilation/no exhaust fan as a minimum so it was terrible after a steamy hot shower. The shower tiles were chipped & cracked in bathroom so evident repair work had been done but not a great job covering up with missing tiles. No views worth looking out the window as we were put on the lower level, unfortunately the blind’s electric buttons don’t work so the manual roll up & down cord sufficed. Amenities were limited but slippers and a comb was a nice touch. The room was near a linen storage so could hear the noise of staff accessing several times during the short stay. Overall, for the $ paid it i wouldn’t be returning anytime soon. Much nicer accommodation around for better value.

Standard boutique hotel and comfortable enough for one night. Room was spacious and comfy but bathroom was a little worn and broken. Nice inclusions like toiletries, slippers, mini bar etc. so overall a good stay.

The pool closes from April to September but that wasn’t on the website. We only booked so we could enjoy the heated rooftop pool and it was closed. Room had a see through blind and no curtains so street light made it hard to sleep. Lighting in the bathroom was so bad I had to hold the torch up so my husband could shave. Never again.

Cheap Friday night didn't know what to expect. Location good free parking after 6pm till 8am. Would be great when Fringe and Gluttony is on. Comfortable bed Negative comments- TV is not smart, no usb ports. Had I brought my charger and portable speaker this would not have been an issue.

Recently stayed here and went to make myself a coffee only to find the coils in the kettle were covered in specs of green mold. The towel rack is just sitting on a screw so fell off and dropped my towel on the wet floor. Feel like I'm staying next to a train line with the constant rumble of the whole room. There was no proper quilt just a cheap one chucked inbetween 2 flat sheets as to look like it's got a cover on it. Out of all the little items like shampoos and conditioners I didn't expect to get a sewing kit instead of a tooth brush or tooth paste. Exhaust fan is horrid, everything in the bathroom will become wet after a warm shower. NO ROBES?? Also the placement of the toilet roll holder will have you cramping in both shoulder blades just grabbing toilet paper🤦🏻‍♀️ bathroom tap is also hanging by a thread.

Great value for money, the staff have been wonderfull, friendly and kind. The rooms are clean and well presented, feels quite luxuary. I will stay here again next time! :) The only down side was the pool not in use during the time of my stay.

Yelp
Finding a boutique hotel in Adelaide is like finding a leprechaun riding a unicorn. (So you have about a 15% chance if it's a Saturday.) But let me save you the squinting strain and fill you in on the secret that is Clarion Hotel Soho. With sizeable rooms, fair prices and boutique-y touches like beautiful designer furniture, fantastic bath products, and massive, comfortable beds, this hotel is fantastic value for money and doesn't feel anything like the big-box rooms you'll find on North Tce. There's a beautiful rooftop pool, which is more like a giant hot tub, and the room's massive sliding windows reveal a beautiful view over western Adelaide. While the location isn't smack-bang in the middle of things, it's an easy enough walk to Rundle Mall and/or Gouger Street and it's an easy jaunt to Botanic Park if you're a runner. Plus, the restaurant downstairs (Decant, if you're asking) is an underrated star. From early breakfast to late night dinners, I've been nothing but completely impressed with the food from the kitchen. So why three stars? Well, there's no free in-room wifi, and that's a bit of a deal breaker (or at least a star-detractor) for me. Furthermore, there is a strange smell in the hallway (and/or perhaps the bathroom?) that I couldn't get past without wincing. The lady in me doesn't want to get vulgar here, so let's just say it rhymes with jurine. Yes, that's it. But event with those two cards on the table, this still is my choice hotel when in Adelaide. Soho is definitely on the path to fantastic-ness, and a great place to rest your head when in Adelaide.

Yelp
I had a romantic stay at the Clarion Hotel Soho in the 'Soho Spa Suite' for $260 from lastminute.com.au and it was stunning. A perfect little spot so close to the busy Rundle Street and Hutt street side of the city but far away enough to ensure that it's quiet and secluded. We were on the top level and the room was modern, clean, had a big comfortable king size bed and a separate big bathroom with a large spa. There was a big window overlooking the city which highlighted beautiful colours over Adelaide as the sun set. We had a lovely short walk on to Hutt Street for Good Life pizza, brought it back and ate it whilst looking out of the window. I hope you're not gagging with all the romance. There is a restaurant called 'Decant' on the bottom floor but it was quite expensive and a bit too modern and seemed a bit soul less. The service was great - however we didn't really utilise it too much. A bit expensive for what it is if you don't get it on a deal! And internet cost extra :/ Average.

Yelp
This hotel does complete false advertisement! The website looks nothing like the rooms or hotel. The website does not accurately describe the rooms. This is a dump! Do not stay here! I booked their nicest "spa suite". There is no shower. The website says luxurious spa- it's a tiny dirty bath tub. When you sit on the toilet seat your knees hit the dirty bath tub. I'm only 5'2 if that helps to show how crap this hotel is. DONT waste your money here!

Yelp
While the Clarion may not be the fanciest, biggest or most centrally located hotel in Adelaide, it certainly could be the most customer focussed! I arrived a couple of hours before the 2pm check-in time and with a busy day of meetings planned, I really needed access to my room early to make myself look presentable. The woman manning the desk was beyond kind, saying she would go and speak directly to the house keeping team to see if they could do my room ASAP. She returned to the desk, and said I would just need to wait 10 minutes as they had all descended on room 106 to prepare it. Next the head housekeeper came downstairs to advise it was ready and introduced himself to me and then kindly took my overnight bag up to the room for me. This was certainly not the big "you're just a number" hotel experience and I truly felt looked after and welcomed for my one night stay, as if I were a family member! With only 30 rooms, you can be assured of receiving lovely service here. Room 106 itself was quite large. The furnishings are modern, though it's obvious they're starting to age with small things like cracked tiles and slight bangs in the wooden furniture. Most importantly the room was dark, the bed very comfortable and at night it was deathly quiet... though come 7.30am and the workmen across the road started drilling and banging away on a construction site. Worth asking about construction if you're planning to stay here in the coming months. Previous reviews mention no wifi, but I chose the Clarion because they now have free wifi throughout the hotel. It was reliable and fast enough to deal with Skype calls - a win in my book!

Yelp
I stayed here on a wotif deal last month, and what a hotel it is. I've stayed in a few five star hotels, mainly in Melbourne, and lots of the time the service really doesn't match the price. There is no issues with that here, whether you are a regular stayer, or whether you got a deal off a booking site, you'll be treated in the same, five star manner. The restaurant was really nice, though a bit over our budget. We shared a garlic bread and some wedges in the restaurant, before going out to explore the city. I highly recommend this hotel if you are after that little bit extra comfort.
