The Somerset Hotel

Perfect location, perfect hospitality, clean and neat!||We stayed here in two rooms as an extended family of six people both upon arrival in the Maldives and before heading out to our resort, and upon return from the resort pending transfer to our international flight home. I chose Somerset not only because of its prime location across the street from the National Museum and amidst main sights in Malé, but also because of its complimentary airport transfer as well as included breakfast - I was not disappointed in the least! I was extremely pleased with their service from their very first email communication, to their seamless personalized airport meet and greet which they coordinated with our resort coming and going, to their room assignments and the cleanliness of the facilities. While the Somerset is in an older building, they more than make up for it with public and private spaces which are extremely clean. Your room is prepped for you before you check in - you are welcomed with the kettle and Nespresso coffee machine ready with fresh water, air conditioning adjusted - everything at your service.||The hotel restaurant is also fantastic, with a great selection for breakfast and extensive lunch and dinner menu. The fruit drinks are delicious and again - everything was extraordinarily clean.||But really what was remarkable was the phenomenal guest service and attentiveness to our needs. Everyone was friendly, patient and welcoming. Bidek from Nepal went out of his way to walk us to a local barber for our kids, and Hakeem the driver was safe friendly and prompt. I was so happy with the comfort, convenience, and customer service, all for a very very reasonable cost, that I really cannot conceive of staying anywhere else if I were to overnight in Malé again as part of my resort itinerary.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and loved the convenient location close to major attractions. Even though we had an issues with the restaurant due to some miscommunication, the staff was very understanding and responsive. Thumbs up 👍

We spent one night at this hotel waiting for next day connection to an island resort. Compared to the other tried in our previous trip, we found this property well organized and spacious for families. Transfer from Velana international to domestic airport was well arranged and comfortable. Room had an ac issue but the problem got immediately rectified by changing room which demonstrates attention to the guest. Top the welcome ice tea drink really delicious :)

The staff was really kind and helpful, especially the man, who waited for us at the airport. I have to mention the dinner at the restaurant which was amazing. We chose plates of differenf cuisine, but all was made perfectly (italian, vietnamese, indian), but my stakes are high. The chef was pretty helpful with my allergies. I give 3 stars for the room, because the vedd were too firm.

We stayed one night in the hotel before our departure. Staffs were well organised and coordinated and we have received the best hospitality in the city. Thanks to the hotel staff and Mr. Ganesh Kumara and @ VR REISEN for arranging a wonderful trip.

From the arrangement for airport pick-up to the moment of our departure, we felt that we were in good hands, everyone was super friendly. Nothing fancy or luxurious, but for a layover hotel before going to the resorts this is an ideal place, it does the job perfectly.

recently stayed at a hotel in Somerset for one night while in transit, and it was a terrible experience, especially while traveling with my infants. The hotel's location was inconvenient, and the room was shabby and smelled unpleasant. The bathroom was dirty, and the intercom was not working.||||The staff were rude and impatient, and they struggled to communicate in English. I ordered chicken rice for lunch, but the chicken was stale and smelled off, making it inedible. To make matters worse, we were charged $40 for this meal. Although breakfast was included, we did not receive anything.||||I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was a disappointing experience overall.||||4o mini

What a fabulous stay. Everything is perfectly went to the check out and 100% recommend. Need to mention especially about the good service and the staff, foods, accomodation things. Fast check in and check outs also veey hehelpful to us. We loved everything in here.
