Lovely souk! It is very well-maintained and air-conditioned; there are nice cafes and a variety of shops. Good spot for photography enthusiasts too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Beautiful Blend of Culture, Calm, and Class I recently visited Souk Al Qaryat, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. Tucked away by the Grand Canal, this hidden gem offers a peaceful, authentic alternative to the busier malls in Abu Dhabi. The architecture is stunning—you’re instantly transported to an old Arabian village with winding alleyways, wooden accents, traditional lanterns, and charming courtyards. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe, and take it all in. There are a variety of boutique shops, art galleries, and small stores selling traditional items, handmade crafts, and souvenirs. You can tell the focus here is on quality and culture rather than commercial flash. Food lovers won’t be disappointed—there are several cafes and restaurants, many with outdoor seating and views of the canal. I had a relaxed dinner by the water, watching the sunset reflect on the surface. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and perfect for a romantic evening or family outing. One of the best things about Souk Al Qaryat is that it doesn’t feel crowded or rushed. It’s ideal for those who want to escape the chaos and enjoy a more intimate, culturally rich experience. Plus, it’s just a short walk from The Ritz-Carlton, so it’s easy to access if you’re staying nearby. Tip: Visit just before sunset and stay into the evening—the lighting makes everything even more magical. Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike. Whether you're looking to shop, dine, or just enjoy a quiet evening stroll by the water, Souk Al Qaryat is absolutely worth your time.

Beautiful exterior and located in an ideal place, but that’s where the positives end for me. Very few shops, limited offerings and a poor alternative to a traditional souk experience. It is for a certain audience but that didn’t include us.

Hubby dropped me at the Souk as he needs to go back to the Office. Was wondering around and chanced upon Exquisite Antiques Gallery. The shawls on display outside the shop caught my attention. Thinking I need to get some shawls for one of my friends YL back in Singapore, I went in to explore. The best decision made that day! The owner is a very friendly and patient gentleman. 🙏 He offered to show me the different type of materials, designs and colors of the shawls he has in the shop. And there’s a wide selection! As I took pictures of the shawls my friend YL wanted and communicating with her on WhatsApp, the owner constantly looked for the pieces that YL requested, not once showing a hint of frustration. 🙏 Eventually I got a couple of shawls for YL and a few pieces for myself. Really enjoyed my shopping spree at Exquisite Antiques Gallery with the help of the owner. Greatly appreciated for the patience and hospitality he has shown to me, shkran! 🙏 ❤️

Walking distance from some of the hotels in the area (As long as the weather isnt scorching) its a small space but has a couple of food places. wingstop etc. It's nice if you're staying in the immediate area otherwise you'd rather go to the mall at shaykh zayed mosque

Neat and has great view especially when in the cafes. Limited number of shops, prayer room is available. Parking is underground and fee is waived when ticket is stamped by any of the shops you go to. Maven Cafe is a good choice. Rest rooms are available on first floor. Friendly security.

Lovely place to visit indoor and shopping. Such a nice view of water and there are good restaurants too. Looks like traditional souk, liked the concept very much. Surrounded by water, water. More shops are yet to open but still have Choice for little shopping.

Nice place to visit or just to go for a walk. There are good options for coffee shops, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, pharmacy and even supermarkets. Beautiful views over the channel and big mosque.
