The fact that I stayed in Tasmania three days and ate here three times is indicative both of the limited options in town the holiday I visited, but also the fact that they were exactly what I hoped for. And being open around holidays is a virtue in its own right.
They offer some Indian street foods and some (not especially Indian) soups. I found their channa batura a nice meal, their fries a delicious indulgence, and their lentil soup satisfying. Their location is interesting; a little shop next to the barracks in a residential area. Their prices are not bad at all. The diversity of their menu allows both the Indian food aficionado and someone who just wants soup to eat together.
The food was probably four-star good, but when you consider the overall value, convenience, and family-owned vibe, I was quite happy with the place and would easily recommend it to anyone visiting Tasmania.
