The Source, Hotel, Music & Spa

We came to The Source for a four day music event. Communication with Safaar was excellent. Check in was good and the room was what we chose. The room itself was a bit tired, glass door cracked, curtain pole fell down and furniture needed some attention. We asked for soap and hairdryer and was received immediately. Staff were amazing nothing was a problem. The grounds where do I start, a tropical oasis absolutely stunning you turn a corner and there's another surprise. The areas where the music was played was mind blowing, roof top sunset bar, an amphitheatre for live music and the pool and spa beautiful. Breakfast was buffet style with flat breads, vegetables, salads, cheese, yogurt, eggs any way you wanted. They provided a barbecue in the afternoon each day for 300 dinhas cooked meats and plenty of salads and deserts. Now the only real issue was the price for alcohol and soft drinks which was extremely expensive. £4 for a can of coke or sprite, £20 for gin and tonic, £4 for their local beer. What Lauron and Stephanie have achieved is a stunning hotel and music venue. We will be back for Four Directions Festival next year.

We had our wedding at this beautiful hotel at the end of June and I absolutely love this hotel. This was our 5th visit to the hotel and we will be back. It is absolutely beautiful with stunning gardens and a gorgeous pool. The food is lovely and the staff are extremely kind and hard working. The villas are also gorgeous and the spa is fantastic.

Beautiful hotel located out of the city. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We booked the natural mystic suite which is unbelievable! Food and pool area really nice. Only downside is there wasn’t enough loungers around the pool but not sure this was because we went to a weekend wedding here and more people than normal.

So 3 months after having our reservation cancelled by The Source just a week before our stay we are still waiting the refund of our deposit! We have had to charge back through our credit card company to try and have any chance of getting our deposit back! I’m sure this place is lovely if you get your stay but should you be one of the unfortunate bookings that they choose you cancel at the last minute then you’ll be waiting indefinitely for your money back! Looking back through all the reviews this seems like something that happens far too often. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Very nice grounds and friendly staff. I stayed with my small dog a week ago and both of us had a great time. I just wanted to relax and I did - it’s a vibe yet quiet if you choose not to vibe and stay in. I’d definitely recommend.

Awful experience! |We booked a suite and additional room for ourselves and our 4 children only to be emailed a week before our departure to say they had to cancel / change the dates of our reservation. |We booked our stay in August 2024 for May 2025, plenty of notice and plenty of time to let us know about any changes. I then watsapped the hotel to confirm our rooms in early May which were then confirmed again with no problems. Roll on 10 days before our stay and a week before our departure to Marrakech a nonchalant email from reservations saying that due to the hotel being booked for a private event our dates would need to be changed! |The only solution they could offer was to arrange a stay at another hotel and were offering the transport costs free of charge as if they were doing us a favour! |Of course now I am left with trying to find alternative accommodation for our stay at short notice with most hotels fully booked and those not at twice the price they were just a few months ago. |I have never felt that I have been dealt with so poorly by a hotel or host until this occasion, they couldn’t care less that they piled on a load of unnecessary stress such a short time before a holiday and the cost of rectifying it for us as a family of 6 is going into the thousands of Euros… which of course they do not see as their problem. |Any hotel that treats its guests this way because a bigger, better booking has come sling should be avoided at all costs!

We had a wonderful stay at the Source. The gardens and setting are gorgeous. Breakfast was abundant and you can order lunch or dinner when needed. It’s a little ways from the Medina but it’s more than worth it to have mornings where you can relax by the pool. We stayed in the lodge rooms which you have to call to book.

Best experience I had in a hotel designed for inner peace, interesting encounters, and music ! (There s an awesome professional music studio). wonderful staff, in the pool house with Meryem, Zidane, Hamza, Soufiane, Brahim. I also just had the most peaceful and reviving experience at the spa with Meryem and Ilham who have love, tenderness and savoir faire on the tip of their fingers. Thank you Laurent Cohen the owner, thank you Stephane, and all the staff. I m having the best time.
