A perfect place for a girls getaway! The location was just seps from the water. The decor and feel of the place was so lovely and welcoming. Like a home away from home. The breakfast was 5 star rating and the Inn Keeper and staff were so friendly and supported us every step of the way. Love this place… such a gem and will be back next year!

This place it a little slice of heaven. The rooms are beautiful and cozy. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the water. Colleen, the inn keeper, was so welcoming and her breakfasts are super yummy. We had a lovely ladies weekend here and can't recommend it enough!!

Absolutely wonderful girls getaway spent at the Southampton Inn!|Fabulous location on the main street just steps from shopping, restaurants and Lake Huron. The Inn itself is gorgeously decorated maintaining its historical character with some modern charm. Colleen, our Inn Keeper, was so friendly and engaging; making us feel right at home. The hot breakfasts she prepared us were so delicious and substantial! Highly recommend!!

Best 4 days of our summer road trip. Great location a few steps from the beach ( amazing sunsets) and just down the street from restaurants, bars and shopping. Our suite had a separate sitting room, bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Our host was very welcoming and very informative about where to go and what to see. Played golf at two of the local Southampton courses, hiked around the Grotto in Tobermory and had long walks on the beach. We highly recommend this century old charming Inn. 5 stars all around, especially for Colleen our host.

We were welcomed by Carleen on our arrived and lucky enough to meet the owners Sarah and Kevin as well. Our visit was a surprise renewal of vows for friends of ours and we along with family and friends took over the whole house. It is a beautiful place with lots of character and old world charm. Our hosts were amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms are all tastefully decorated and the beds extremely comfortable. |There are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance and the beach and lake can be seen from the property. |Well worth the visit and we look forward to going again in another season.

What a beautiful stay in The Southampton Inn! We spent 2 lovely nights and enjoyed delicious breakfasts both mornings. Colleen truly made our stay a memorable one, taking care of every detail for all the guests! Our bed was comfy and we appreciated having a separate sitting room in our Dunes suite. The main parlour is warm and inviting, perfectly set up to enjoy a morning coffee, or curl up with a book. Southampton is a special place to visit, with the beach offering a long walkway to stroll, as we watched the breathtaking sunsets. The beach is so close and accessible for all visitors. So many lovely restaurants, a brewery, culinary markets, bakeries, coffee shops and retail shops to explore. Many thanks to Sara and Kevin for creating such a warm place to rest and relax and special thanks to Colleen for making us feel so welcome. Staying at The Southampton Inn is a perfect place to enjoy some quality time!

A beautiful snowy week-end at The Southampton Inn! We had an incredible week-end and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Inn and the great town. I would highly recommend this little gem for a weekend get away and small gatherings. The rooms are fantastic and there are many little spaces to sit, read, connect and the vibe at this inn is one of relaxation and warmth. Think about the winter, the winter wonderland is amazing, local restaurants are only steps away!! We’re going back!

Has its pros & cons. Booked Mariner Suite w deck. $285/nt + tax. PROS: Room decor was lovely. Room size was decent. Kind hospitality from innkeeper Colleen. She even accommodated our food allergies @ breakfast (comprised of coffee/tea, yummy hot egg bites w sausage & sundried tomatoes, store bought croissants & fruit). No cappuccino or latte available. 🥲Decent closet. 1 luggage stand. Pullout couch never used so not sure of comfort level. Location very good on Main Street, 3 blocks from beach /flagpole. AC & fan in Liam’s Rm #6 was excellent & quieter. CONS: Mariner Suite-the deck faces the main road with a bit of a setback so not much privacy & can hear road noise from deck. AC sounded like a plane engine next door! One of the window blinds was missing so no luck sleeping in past 8am! Overgrown cedars outside window helped block light but also made room dark. Bathroom was PUNY & very OLD. Nowhere to put your toiletries or makeup. Hubby hit his head on the shower rod on the way into a decrepit tub. Lumpy pillows & bed. No in-room coffeemaker or tea kettle. Must walk out 5 steps, around corner, up another 8steps to enter main inn. Inconvenient in rain/snow/extreme heat. NO AC in all common areas so was very uncomfortable on hot day. We switched rooms to a recently renovated room at the back (#6 Liam’s room). PROS: a very slightly larger bathroom (but tiny sink & countertop) with a few shelves (helpful but they were above toilet so you never want to leave your toothbrush up there!), is a smaller room overall with bigger bathroom. Room decor was lovely. Larger unobstructed picture window, half the closet size of the Mariner Suite, has only 2 armchairs for seating, 1 bench & SmartTV. Same mini-fridge. 1 luggage stand. No deck or balcony. CONS: Narrow staircase up with no handrail. Was tricky taking our luggage downstairs. We really missed Nespresso in-room coffeemaker that most places have now! No pool or hot tub. No beach chairs or beach towels to bring to beach. Overall pleasant enough stay but was not good value for money for us.
