The Spa at Hotel Chelsea

A friend from out-of-town treated me to a facial here. The staff was very helpful and kind. Ebony goes above and beyond to keep the spa stocked and immaculate and to help the guests feel comfortable. Just a few suggestions to improve the experience: A sheer partial canopy over the terrace would provide rain and sun protection to allow for more usage. Essential oils would be nice in the steam and sauna. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided are mediocre, so I would recommend bringing your own. Finally, the facial was lovely, but I would prefer background music without vocals because I find it distracting. My favorite part of the whole experience was being in the penthouse of the famous Chelsea Hotel and doing the art walk down the stairs on the way out. Even though I have lived around the corner for >20 years, I still love the Chelsea Hotel and am very pleased that the restoration preserved it’s beauty.

The spa at Hotel Chelsea is beautiful, and the atmosphere tranquil and relaxing. I came for the Super Seed Sculpt facial. My esthetician, Amity, did a superb job and I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received here from start to finish. I highly recommend and look forward to returning

A truly remarkable experience I can’t recommend enough. The staff, the products, facilities, decor, you name it - top of the line & top notch hospitality. The second the elevator opens on the 11th floor, you feel as though you’ve entered a blissful oasis. Simply put, you won’t be disappointed. Alexis, the spa director, went above and beyond during my stay to ensure I was well taken care of, but especially during my appointment. She has led her team with grace, and truly cares about every little detail. Her servant leadership and passion shine every step of the way. From the moment you’re greeted in the spa to the moment you leave, not a single beat is missed. Amity, my technician, gave me the most wonderful facial I’ve ever received. She’s highly educated, used the best products and modified my treatment to help with a few problem areas. She even went so far as to recommend products based on what I’ve been using to enhance my very simple daily routine. She knows her stuff & it’s clear she loves what she does. If you’re looking for a city escape to wind down, relax, sweat (in the sauna & steam room) and receive the highest quality of pampering, look no further. I have had the pleasure of going to the Spa at the Hotel Chelsea a few times and every single time it has been by far the best experience consistently! The space has a calming, luxurious, and nurturing energy and everyone you encounter beams which I why I find it is by far the best way for me to recharge. During one of my last visits, I was having a major self care day after a crazy work week and the manager set up the most beautiful tray of treats with a handwritten note for me in the locker room for me. Brought me to tears! I highly recommend as you will be taken care of with the utmost care.

The lead aesthetician at the Chelsea Hotel put my skin on the right track again. After a long cold winter, my skin was clogged, dry and looking rough. She was able to do a lot of extractions with no breakouts the next day. She also recommended to me an amazing Marie Veronique product that I bought and transformed my skin. This is a top notch facial and worth every penny.

Absolute gem in the iconic Hotel Chelsea. This spa is unmatched from the treatments and team running it to the design details; feels like you’ve entered a magical oasis. Five stars every time! Alexis and Rita are fantastic as are the therapists. Highly recommend the Cure massage at sunset.

This was quite likely the best massage I’ve ever had (and I average 3+/month). Sylvia is a master. If there was a doctorate program for massage therapy, she would be teaching it and mentoring the candidates. From the start, I knew Sylvia not only knew what she was going but was precise, deliberate and immediately understood what was needed and where. It’s a gift. Oh yes, the rest of the staff was kind and thoughtful, a very relaxed and welcoming place. 10 Stars!

Incredible massage and the amenities are lovely! Outdoor seating area, thoughtful snacks, dry and steam saunas...lovely
