The Special Connection

This small café impresses with its bright, cozy atmosphere and charming decor. Both breakfast and lunch options are tasty, and the friendly staff ensures quick service. The quality of the coffee and food is good, though the price of €10 for scrambled eggs with a slice of sourdough toast feels a bit steep. Despite the slightly higher prices, the café is definitely worth a visit.

I’m visiting Hamburg from Los Angeles and following my usual habit of brunch for Sundays, I came to The Special Connection. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I come from the land of Pancakes but their pancake was the most unique pancake I’ve ever tasted, a perfect balance of sweet and sour, so cutting edge and innovative. The egg was cooked to the perfection accompanied with a delicious sauce on the bread. The quality of their coffee is also exceptional, I’m planning go there few more times while I’m in hamburg. The staff are also amazing and welcoming. They were so kind to change our order last minute and very helpful with recommendations.

The espresso martini was absolutely amazing! The waiter was also very kind and spoke Czech😊 They also have a home-made cola which was also amazing. Easily 5 stars.

Beautiful cafe with a little terrace and harbour view. The coffee is just excellent, the service is super friendly and the homemade cakes a worth a try 🍰☕️🥰

Great food, nice service and also nice atmosphere. It was just very busy when we came, some after us even was rejected due to lack of space. Of course nothing they can do about it and they’ve done the best they could with the space they have, but it was quite cramped to be there. When that’s said, it was really nice food and filling as well. Good prices also! Would come again but maybe in summer where I assume you could sit outside and enjoy.

A nice cozy coffee that is well worth it. We stopped in for a flat white. The service is good, the order is taken at the table. There is outdoor seating as well as high chairs by the window. In addition to various specialty coffees, there are sweet and savory dishes. Card payment is possible.

Let's start with the staff is welcoming and speaks both English and German, which makes it easy to hold a conversation and get recommendations on what to get for breakfast. Serves breakfast and lunch times, I had the croissant and it was great, also hot chocolate is a lot great, it has an animal friendly atmosphere and most of all a very welcoming aura. There's a variety of pastries, you won't regret going here

It is an incredibly small place, so definitely not the most comfortable option, but an amazing food and service in return. I had the walking on sunshine, where the bread was fresh, the scrambled eggs perfectly prepared and the overall taste was just perfect. I definitely recommend this place to enjoy a brunch before going on some sightseeing in the harbour:)
