The Spotted Owl (Tremont)

This was our first time and it definitely won't be our last. We sat inside and fell in love with the atmosphere. Dark but not too dark, ambient lighting, good music, neat artifacts and decor (with nods to Twin Peaks and Stranger Things). Right on! Our bartender, Cassie, was lovely and walked us through our beverage choices. There are a few choices of beer on tap, a menu of drinks to choose from and a section of the 'menu' where you can tell them what you are looking for in terms of flavor, type of liquor, etc and they can make something based on your preferences. The hubby ordered a sazerac and I was pleasantly surprised with a gin drink called a gimlet. Both of our bevvies tasted so good. We could have stayed for hours. Maybe next time! An intimate spot for well-crafted, imaginative cocktails. The process of choosing a cocktail based on your taste or mood was lots of fun and by no means required. Everyone in our party enjoyed their drinks. Definitely worth a stop after a dinner in Tremont.

Mixed feelings of this place. I got the drink The Jeweled Knight. It was delicious. On the other hand, my husband got a drink made with scotch and clarified milk, it was gross. To me, this place comes off as trying as a little too hard. I think they're going for a speak easy feel but haven't quite hit the mark. I also didn't like how none of their liquor was displayed. Everything was hidden under the counter.

Menu is unusual, but clever. No one ever told me what I ended up drinking. I chose "reflect" and "classic" from the menu. I think it was a vodka gimlet. Very loud, could barely hear music. Could be a fun date place -- dim, romantic ambiance.

Top notch cocktail bar that I love showing off to friends and visitors. They will never disappoint with the cocktails and we love the vibe. I cant remember how we found this place but it's a true gem and they are masterful mixologists. Both pics are from the mood wheel which always amazes our group.

Built in the 1800’s but now converted to a hip lounge, The Spotted Owl is a unique combination of the new and old. Using the original rustic brick and hardwood decor, it is hard to find but a great find to experience. (All pictures taken today.) The manager who just won the “Best of Ohio” Manhattan and will be competing nationally next.

I was nervous to come here because of other reviews, but I had a good time. The service was good and I didn't wait long for my drinks at all. I told them what I liked and ended up with a Manhattan, which is my usual drink at my usual place...which was kind of disappointing but I guess they felt me out well! I liked the Atmosphere, and the music was not too loud for a conversation which is a huge plus for me. The house punch was really good and cost only half as much as a regular cocktail.

Was my first time in. Cocktail ordering is done by: 1. Determine how you feel. 2. Select your flavor profile. 3. Answer a couple of questions about your drink. 4. Wait patiently to be pleasantly surprised. Flavors were awesome and complex on all cocktails ordered by our party. If you want craft cocktails this is a great spot to check out in Cleveland.

This was me lunch on the beach soon after I landed in Nice. The food was great and I had great service as well.

What an awesome spot that just opened up in Tremont! This place has got alllll the ambiance so it's perfect for a date spot or a casual glass of wine at the end of a busy work week. My friend and I came here on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy (not sure if it's because La Cave just opened and people don't know it's here yet!). We sat by the bar and were quickly given some waters and menus. I ended up going for the sauvignon blanc and my friend got a red wine. They do serve food here as well, though it is mostly snacks. We ended up getting the charcuterie board to share, which was filling enough to be our dinner along with the glasses of wine. We also ended up getting the Vietnamese coffee panna cotta as dessert which we were actually eyeing as soon as we started looking at the menu! This was definitely a tasty treat and worth trying in my opinion! Overall, I had a great time here and would definitely like to come back. Highly recommend checking out La Cave before it gets super popular and busy ;)

What an adorable cozy spot to hide away from snowy Cleveland. They have a good selection of wine but a limited menu. The music is lovely, the owners and bartenders are super friendly. They have cocktails as well, but I came here for the wine. I am not a fan of sweet wine, and I prefer red wine. If you are like me, I recommend: the Malbec, the Georgian, and Croatian wine. Cheers!

What used to be Spotted Owl has been transformed into an incredible wine spot. Service was impeccable and our server was very knowledgeable about the selection. I opted for a sweeter wine and ended up absolutely falling in love with it. I would highly recommend coming here as a pre-dinner spot or for after dinner festivities- it's the perfect spot for both moods! Knocking off one star solely for price.

new spot in tremont that replaced spotted owl. super cozy spot and a hidden gem. they offer a good selection of wines/beers as well as a few cocktails. the staff is always so friendly and will give the most helpful recommendations.

Love La Cave Du Vin! What a hidden gem in Tremont that has quickly become one of my regular spots. Love the aesthetic and vibes but more importantly, the drinks! Joy the bartender is very friendly and I really enjoyed everything on the menu. My favorite is the Sante Fe which is a riff of an espresso martini on tap. So good!

I am shocked this restaurant only has two reviews given the exceptional quality of the wine, ambience, and service. One of the best wine bars I have seen in a major city, and I'm thrilled to have it here in Cleveland. The staff was knowledgeable, the atmosphere lively yet intimate, the recommendations superb, and the fare tasty. The wine list is truly a stand out, with well curated and interesting but easy, drinking and well priced wines from all over the world. I unreservedly recommend La Cave du Vin to anyone visiting or living in Cleveland.
