The Springs Motel (New Ashford, Massachusetts) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Like many other mid-century motor inns across America, the Springs Motel has been restored and updated for the boutique-hotel era — in this case, documented for posterity via the television show Inn the Works. It’s photogenic, as you’d expect, and it’s pleasing in person as well, with its carefully considered décor, its up-to-date comforts, and the addition of a trio of cabins for larger parties. There’s a delightfully retro kidney-shaped swimming pool as well as plenty of lounge space, from the lobby to the lawn to the outdoor bar with its walk-up bar trailer." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel is under new management and I only have great things to say! They have done a wonderful job with the renovation. We stayed in a cabin and a room so we got to see what both were like. The cabin was spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was a perfect size for us to hang out in the evening. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we loved the wallpaper! The front lawn is fun to hang out in with their picnic tables and lounge chairs. The pool was nice and clean and fun to play in. Location is super easy to find and they offered continental breakfast while we were there. It was perfectly sufficient for my family of four. The owners are extremely kind and went out of their way to be very hospitable. We left our swimsuit coverups on the back of the door in the bathroom and they went out of their way to return them to us. Definitely worth a stay!

One of the most charming, unique places we’ve stayed in our travels is The Springs Motel in western MA. We were only there one night as we used the motel as a base for hiking up Mt. Greylock over Memorial Day weekend. But we wished we could have stayed longer and we plan to go back in the fall! |The Springs Motel was originally built in 1952, and had its heyday in the 60s, 70s and 80s. In 2021, it was beautifully renovated in 1960s chic and brought back to life as featured on the TV show “Inn the Works.” Then, in early 2025, Brian Duke purchased the motel. We met Brian during our stay and saw him in action. He and his team were present, attentive, and you can tell Brian and his family are dedicated to building on the success The Springs Motel already is. Brian was an awesome host and helped make our stay really comfortable. I don’t often write reviews, but we had such a wonderful experience and The Springs Motel made such an impression on us, I felt compelled to spread the word. The included photos don’t do it justice. If you ever plan to travel to the Berkshires to view the incredible fall foliage, spring in bloom, or for a winter or summer getaway, check out The Springs Motel!

Very nice staff. Lots of retro chic amenities - corn hole, fire pits, lots of lawn furniture. A clean and refreshing pool with plenty of comfortable seating. Not elegant, but exactly what we were looking for. I’ll book again.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at the Springs Motel! Our favorite part was sitting around the firepit at night with friends and family. The vibe is great! We got to know some other guests as our kids all roasted smores together (you can buy a smore kit in the lobby). The new owner, Brian, had just opened the beautiful pool and it was so inviting that our boys jumped in despite the cold weather. We will be back to enjoy the chill, welcoming atmosphere again!

Stayed at the Summer Chalet/Cabin for the weekend and it was better than expected. Very cozy layout and nice bedding. The futon is a little small and would fit a kid, but the three beds are plenty for most groups. Kitchen was clean and came with everything we needed to cook for the weekend. Was there for a wedding and had enough room to host breakfasts for 15. Amazing space to hang out and host meals. Private and cozy cabin. Love it!

I had my wedding down the road so we used The Springs Motel, now owned by Brian. Brian is amazing in customer service and really made our wedding weekend special. He kept in contact leading up and even helped get some last minute rooms set up when things got mixed up at another hotel the couple was staying at. The cabins were perfect for both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. We are really glad to have come across Brian and his hotel and really hope others enjoy this unique spot. Brian also gave us some extra time with a late check out that allowed us to have a big family breakfast the morning after our wedding which really put the icing on the cake for our wedding weekend. Truly grateful for Brian and this is a spot where the owner truly cares about the customers. Thank you Brian!!!

Great place to stay. Brian and his wife bent over backwards to accommodate us, I am a 100% disabled Veteran. The room was spacious, very clean and smelled clean as well. Beds were clean and comfortable, it was just what we were looking for for our New England trip.

A nice place to stay in the middle of some beautiful Massachusetts country. Rooms are cute, clean, and quaint. Proprietors are great people. Hospitality is their mantra. I went out for Memorial Day weekend with my family and had no particular agenda. It was just for a couple of days away at the beginning of the summer. We were not disappointed. We are talking about going back in the fall for the season change.
