The location of the inn is undeniably peaceful, set in a beautiful natural environment. The setting is picturesque, ideal for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. The inn itself boasts a quaint, rustic farmhouse appearance with its wooden beams and pine floorboards, creating a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere.
However, my experience with the room we were given was less than ideal. Despite the inn's overall appeal, the room itself felt like a shoebox. At 5’11” and 6ft each, my husband and I found the space very cramped and often had to duck below the ceiling rafters. The quarters were especially tight for two people and the room heated up quickly. Although there was air conditioning, it unfortunately switched off during the night and required restarting, adding to our discomfort.
Additionally, our room was located below another, and we could not only hear but also feel the footsteps of the residents above, which disrupted our rest. I had anticipated a serene night with only the moon and stars illuminating the surroundings. However, the room we were assigned was accessed by an outdoor staircase, and a bright safety light positioned outside our bedroom window shone through the minimal window blinds. Despite my attempts to block the light with towels, it still penetrated, making it difficult to sleep.
In conclusion, while the inn has many positive attributes including its location, setting, and friendly staff, our particular room's layout and location significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience.
