Why You Should Visit Egypt This Year

"The much-talked-about St. Regis Cairo will open right on the river, injecting the city’s dusty hotel scene with a long-needed dose of glamour; its floor-to-ceiling windows offer the sharpest vista of Cairo’s pedestrian-friendly Corniche promenade anywhere around."

The St. Regis Cairo (Cairo, Egypt) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Standing right on the Nile Corniche, in what might be the most prestigious location for a luxury hotel in the Egyptian capital, the St. Regis Cairo is nothing if not monumental. Inside, it’s as lavish a hotel as you’d expect from this venerable luxury chain, and though its style is meticulously tailored to its setting, its public spaces are as classically elegant as any hotel in the world. The rooms and suites are a touch more contemporary, though far from avant-garde; the in-room comforts are matched by a world-class spa and a selection of fine restaurants." - Tablet Hotels

One of the most incredible places my fiancé and I have stayed anywhere in the world. The service was remarkable! The staff was beyond helpful, and there are truly no words for the dedication that they put into making everything perfect! Above and beyond! Beautiful hotel in a fun area on the Nile River! When we return to Egypt, we will without a doubt be staying here again! Thank you so much for making everything memorable during our stay!

TLDR: Fantastic! ||||Not only is the hotel beautiful, the service was TOP NOTCH! Everyone was so kind and helpful. When you ask where something is in the hotel, they wouldn’t just tell you, but walk you there. They welcomed my husband and I with fresh mango juice and brought guava and milk for my little one (all were so delicious). Traveling as a family, I especially appreciate how warm and welcoming they were to our 3-year-old son. Even when he was tired and cranky, there were endless smiles and kindness from the staff. At the restaurant, Sirocco, our waiter, Ahmed was so attentive. And when my son loved the rice (made with meat and lots of gorgeous spices) at dinner and devoured an entire bowl by himself, then wanted more, the chef came out with a great big smile on his face to personally bring him another bowl. ||Our room attendant, Emam, was an especially kind, thoughtful, and gentle soul. When he saw we had a little one, he and his manager, Sherif, brought us a crib, baby wash, baby shampoo, robe, slippers, and toys for him. And at the end of our stay, they also brought me flowers and Emam brought us the most thoughtful gift: a picture of our son printed on wood and a mug. ||The efforts and thoughtful gestures of the entire staff at the St. Regis are a beautiful reflection of Egyptian culture and a big part of what made our trip one we will remember for a lifetime!

I've traveled around the world and almost exclusively stay at the Marriott. Out of all the St Regis and honestly all of the hotels I've stayed at, the St Regis Cairo was the most incredible hotel with the absolutely best and most welcoming staff. From Maria from guest relations, Abdelrahman from butler services, Abdullah and Martina in the spa, Nancy from Concierge, and Karim in reception, our time was made special by the people we met during our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend staying if you find yourself in Cairo. What an incredible hotel and even more incredible staff. Thank you for a lovely stay at your hotel.||I had been on holiday to celebrate completing medical training and the staff arranged 3 cakes, a celebratory printed photo, a bouquet of beautiful roses, as well as a welcome group ❤️. I was so touched! What a fantastic group of people. I've never experienced the degree of hospitality and warmth at any hotel in the world. ||The rooms themselves are beautiful, high tech, classy and posh. The butler staff is warm and very attentive. The lobby, restaurants and breakfast are incredible and eloquently decorated. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool, both of which are spacious and well staffed. In terms of other amenities, the spa facilities are complimentary (jet bath, rain shower, shock shower, sauna and steam room) and the gym is large with a trainer that can help with workouts. Finally the Nile view is beautiful and the location is centrally located, prime, and safe.||You absolutely must visit.

What a phenomenal dining experience!|I dined here solo after an extensive travel day. The host offered me a lovely spot by the window to enjoy my dinner while the sommelier provided a few select options to start. My waiter Assad was so gracious in accommodating me and offered several recommendations for the evening. In the end, I enjoyed a local red wine blend that paired well with the steak recommendation for dinner. ||The food was prepared perfectly and they closed the evening with a small surprise of a coconut ice-cream to celebrate my 50th birthday. ||A lovely evening indeed.

We cannot say enough about the fabulous St. Regis Cairo. We arrived in Cairo after 1am, and we asked the hotel concierge weeks before to provide transport from the airport, as well as VISA assistance. Worth every penny after an exhausting 17 hour journey from the U.S. (layover in London). Things went off without a hitch (the ride was safe but the driving in Cairo is intense and a little scary!) Upon arrival, the hotel staff was literally waiting for our arrival, at approximately 3:00am. They escorted us to the front desk, we checked in and were escorted to our rooms (we obviously had paid for rooms for the day before so we could access our rooms after 3am! Again, smooth process and the rooms were terrific; clean, spacious, filled with all standard amenities, plus more. Butler service greeted us at our rooms, and we even ordered room service and dined on delicious burgers, salads and soups at 3:45am! We also dined at all restaurants inside the hotel during the course of our 4 day stay and the Asian and Italian spots were our favorites. The pool and its service and food/snacks were also terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return some day!

As someone with over 1,100 lifetime nights with Marriott (originally Starwood), I’ve experienced some of the finest properties around the world — and I can say without hesitation that the St. Regis Cairo stands among the very best.||From the moment we arrived, the experience was flawless. We had booked two suites, and I was generously upgraded to a magnificent two-bedroom Astor Suite spanning the entire side of the building, offering breathtaking, panoramic views of the Nile River and the city skyline from three directions. The suite was not only expansive, but exquisitely appointed.||We made full use of the butler service, which was attentive, prompt, and genuinely thoughtful — a hallmark of the St. Regis tradition. Dining was another highlight: one evening at the Asian restaurant, the next at the Italian, both delivering exceptional cuisine and service. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive — beautifully curated with a wide and luxurious selection.||There is not a single detail I could fault. This is a true five-star experience in every sense, and if I could give six stars, I would.||Bravo to the team at St. Regis Cairo — you’ve created something extraordinary.

Our stay here was spectacular! The rooms were clean and very spacious. We booked their apartment for a family of 4 and was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and the views were great. It is very well located. Highly recommend
