The St. Regis Cairo

My experience here was truly wonderful. I absolutely fell in love with the aesthetic ambiance of the hotel. The interior design beautifully preserves a traditional charm that gives the entire place a unique character. The atmosphere felt calm and heartfelt, making it a perfect place to relax. I especially enjoyed spending time in the library, where I ended up reading for nearly four hours without even realizing how quickly time passed. I’ve stayed in several hotels over the years, but this one holds a special place in my heart.

I’ve stayed at St. Regis hotels in many countries, but this one is hands down the worst. It might just be that the general hospitality quality in Egypt is lower. 1) Photos don't lie: Upon entering the room, I found a piece of used soap left in the shower. This is absolutely unacceptable for a luxury brand. 2)Terrible service: The female chef at the egg station during breakfast was extremely rude—I’ve never experienced such an attitude at any hotel before. I reported this to a manager before leaving the restaurant, but there was no follow-up whatsoever. 3)Unprofessional staff: Compared to other St. Regis properties, the staff here lack basic politeness. The Concierge was particularly unhelpful and provided inaccurate information. They recommended the hotel's Egyptian restaurant but failed to mention it only had outdoor seating. It was freezing cold, and there was no indoor option. After being sent back and forth between floors and being told the restaurant wasn't even open yet, we were finally tucked away in a buffet corner to eat. To top it off, the food was mediocre at best.

I stayed at The St. Regis in December 2025 and overall had a very pleasant experience. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and offered a lovely view overlooking the pool, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I truly appreciated the welcome note and chocolates upon arrival, as well as the thoughtful complimentary attentions throughout my stay. Small gestures such as fresh juice served in the room and ginger-honey tea when I had a slight cold made a real difference and reflected a genuine sense of care. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of my stay. It offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes, and the quality was consistently very good. That said, there were a few aspects that could be improved. It was unfortunate that the reception is located on the 5th floor and this was not clearly communicated upon arrival, as no one informed us. In addition, while the staff was professional, I felt that the welcoming attitude could have been warmer overall. The dining room service was good but not particularly memorable; I have experienced much better in Egypt. Finally, housekeeping was acceptable but not always done to the level of perfection one might expect from a hotel of this standing. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with many positive elements.

Our stay at The St. Regis Cairo was nothing short of exceptional and truly unforgettable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, and Rasha made it incredibly special for us. Even though it’s an open buffet, she went above and beyond to personally serve us and spoiled us like no tomorrow. She thoughtfully brought over so many traditional Egyptian breakfast dishes with such care and warmth and her foul was absolutely amazing! It felt less like a buffet and more like a private, personalized dining experience. I also can’t say enough about the Butler team. A very special thank you to Mariam, who made our wedding anniversary so memorable with her thoughtful gestures and genuine hospitality. She truly made us feel celebrated and cared for. The level of service, attention to detail, and heartfelt dedication from the entire St. Regis team is on another level. You don’t just feel like guests you feel genuinely valued and welcomed. God bless the St. Regis Cairo team for creating such a beautiful experience. We can’t wait to come back.

The St. Regis Cairo is genuinely an exceptional luxury property where you create life-long memories. The service offered by the staff at this property is truly personalized. We did encounter some issues during breakfast. When I raised them with the manager, they were quickly rectified. The rooms we stayed in were very luxurious, and the bathrooms were very spacious. I would rate this property among the best hotels I have stayed in.

Our stay was fabulous from beginning to end. This is a 50th birthday trip for me and there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a small birthday cake, a tray of sweets, and fruit waiting. I was completely taken aback! I've had acknowledgements and at best a few chocolates for my birthday at hotels before but a bouquet of flowers? Never! Service all around was great from the moment our driver pulled up to the moment they helped us into our van after checkout. The rooms are very well appointed and very clean. We were upgraded to a very nice Nile view suite. It was large and spacious. I really loved the layout of the room. We did room service the first night which was good and went to the steakhouse the next night which was phenomenal! We did use the butler service to press out our dinner outfits and it was taken care of quickly and expertly. We wandered around the hotel and took some amazing photos with the Christmas decorations. All staff were highly professional yet warm and friendly. The hotel is across the street from the corniche. If you can get across the street it's a nice area to stroll. The hotel itself exudes elegance from the moment you walk in. Because of our very short time there we didn't get a chance to use the pool or other amenities but hoping to do that on our way back through Cairo. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel and immaculate service! We stayed in two hotels in Cairo during our trip and the other 5-star hotel pales in comparison to the St. Regis, especially when it comes to the service provided by the staff.||From the moment we arrived to when we departed, the staff's professionalism and attentiveness ensured our stay was perfect. They even surprised us with a cake, balloons, flowers, and a handwritten card for our anniversary--a gesture we truly appreciated.

My spouse and I stayed here for three nights in January 2026 and it was a special experience! We loved it all: The courteous and helpful staff, the fantastic dining at Tianma and La Zisa (best breakfast ever!), the quiet and luxurious room, the beautiful bathroom, and the two lovely swimming pools. This is a true oasis from the hustle and bustle of Cairo, which while a lot of fun, can be draining. We stayed at the very nice Ritz-Carlton Cairo for five days on this trip too but the St. Regis was far superior in every single way. Thank you for a memorable stay!
