The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur

This review is made in regards to the Warisan Melya Ramadan Buffet 2026 at the reading room. Food was quite pleasant. Almost nothing tasted bad. Huge plus point for the seafood selection: No fishy taste at all in any of their dishes. This speaks volumes about the high quality of their selection. The satay were quiet dry, and the desserts also fell a bit short. The tables are a bit too small for my taste as well. As the buffet fashions itself as elite tier with its price point, I expected some made to order dishes or something that makes the buffet stand out. It seems the name of St Regis does the heavy lifting when it comes to their pricing strategy. The KL scene is packed with great buffets this Ramadan, and compared to other offerings, I do not think I would come here again. Still better than shangri-la lemon garden though.

What an absolutely lovely hotel. We got upgraded to a suite that was gorgeous. Beautiful views facing the pool. Elegant furnishing, really huge bathroom, shower 🚿 was just so relaxing. Staff is great very polite and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The breakfast buffet is a really solid spread, yes the room is a bit tight but they manage the flow so well. I'm sad not to leave Malaysia but to leave this hotel. They deserve a 👏

The hotel is close to KL Sentral but not connected. The lobby isn't very spacious, but it's high ceiling and gives a luxurious feel. Check-in was quick and easy, and I was given a welcome drink of apple juice. I actually wanted to use a Nightly upgrade award to the John Jacob Suite but was rejected, but I was still upgraded to the Carolina Astor Suite. The Carolina Astor Suite at the St. Regis KL is very spacious. It was explained that there is no champagne ritual at the St. Regis KL, but there are martini hours. 24-hour butler service, including coffee, tea, and even packing and unpacking. It's executed flawlessly, you're just a phone call away. Upon entering the room, you're pleasantly surprised to find it's comparable to a presidential suite of others hotel. The living room features a dining table, a work desk, and a long sofa with chairs. The interior is classic and elegant. The minibar is a cupboard, and there's also a powder room. Welcome amenities include chocolate covered with chocolate balls, and there's also a chocolate bar for the kids. Unlike the living room, the bedroom's interior is more modern and elegant, with a combination of gray profile and silver accents. The bedroom features a bed, armchair, and desk. A luggage room with an open wardrobe creates a spacious feel, along with a dressing table and various necessities like a spa tub and full-body mirror. Furthermore, there's a private spa room that allows for in-room spa treatments. The luxurious bathroom, finished in dark gray marble, features two washbasins, an electric toilet with heated seat, a shower, and a bathtub, complete with a TV. Amenities include Remede shampoo and soap. Facilities include a swimming pool, gym, and kids' club. The kids' club is excellent, clean, spacious, and exclusive. It has slides, a ball pit, cooking area, TV, and books. I didn't try the pool because it was raining. The gym is spacious and nice. Breakfast is very tasty, with a wide selection of proteins, and there's both an a la carte and a buffet. The a la carte menu includes: Poached eggs, chawanmushi truffle, Canadian lobster with eggs, braised duck toastie, steamed sui gao, and fresh juice. And even though it's not on the menu, you can request Teh Tarik, which my wife says is the best teh Tarik she ever had Buffet Menu: 1. Salad, yogurt, muesli, longan, honey, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, pastry, cereal, bread 2. Malaysian local cakes, Indian lamb, nasi lemak, spiced chicken, fried rice, fried vermicelli 3. Steamed fish, mapo tofu, black pepper beef, herbal braised chicken, pao, siomay, curry puff 4. Prata, spring roll, cakue, porridge, noodle station, egg station, waffle, kaya toast 5. Frittata, potato, mushroom, vegetable, tomato, bean, hash brown, beef bacon 6. Beef sausage, chicken sausage, lamb leg steak

My recent stay at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur was nothing short of exceptional. From arrival to departure, every detail was executed with the kind of precision and warmth that defines true luxury hospitality . The butler service is truly world-class. Amanda, Hillman, and Natasha were outstanding — proactive, polished, and effortlessly attentive. Every request was handled seamlessly, from unpacking to thoughtful check-ins throughout the stay. They made the experience feel deeply personalized rather than transactional. I felt like I was among old friends! Breakfast each morning was a highlight, and Marvin in particular elevated it even further. His attentiveness, warmth, and intuitive service made every morning feel special. He struck the perfect balance of professionalism and genuine kindness. A special thank you as well to Mervyn at Concierge. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and incredibly helpful with arrangements and recommendations. His guidance made navigating the city effortless and stress-free. The property itself is stunning, the rooms are immaculate, and the level of service across the board reflects a team that truly cares. The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur sets the standard for Malaysian hospitality, and I cannot wait to return.

I’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels globally, but The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur has truly set a new benchmark for luxury and hospitality. A massive shout-out to Leo at the front desk. After a long, exhausting flight, his warmth and professionalism were a breath of fresh air. He went above and beyond to coordinate my room and even proactively arranged a shower room for me to refresh and reset while waiting—a thoughtful gesture that I appreciated more than words can say. It’s these "above and beyond" moments that make a stay truly special. The Butler Service here is, hands down, the best I have ever experienced in any hotel. A very special thank you to Choo, Lim, and Robi. These three were incredible—exceptionally approachable, friendly, and professional. They seemed to anticipate my needs before I even voiced them, making the entire experience feel personal and seamless. If you’re looking for world-class service and a genuine "home away from home" feeling in KL, look no further. I can’t recommend this team enough!

***update. Despite the initial teething problems on our first 2 nights we had a relaxing further 5 nights stay and lived the st Regis suite for its comfort and relaxing feel. We also ate in the restaurant and had an amazing meal. Many thanks to Yvonne for taking the time to listen and facilitating a pleasant remainder of our stay**** Not the smooth 5 star experience that one would expect from a flagship Marriott hotel. We booked a spontaneous stay at st Regis KL but had a problem when booking a suite for the full 7 nights, it showed availability and then didn’t show the 1st night as available so we booked a std room for the first night and a suite for the following 6 nights. Upon checking in and asking if there was a suite Available we were told that they were all booked however when I checked on line later it seems a suite was available for the full 7 nights, I went to check with reception and was told that there was a glitch with the on line booking system and the information on the at Regis website wasn’t accurate, this did make me ask how I could trust the system for any future bookings? After a night in a std room we moved to a Regis suite, we were told when we went out to do some shopping our room would be ready and baggage transferred by the time we were due to return at 3pm, this wasn’t the case and there was a desperate scramble at 3pm to allocate us a room and our bags arrived from our old room 20 mins later. In our new suite was a card welcoming Mr Wong ( that’s definitely not me) to his room and thanking him for his custom, as I was reading this the door bell went and the butler arrived with Mr Wongs welcome cake. A very embarrassed butler put mr wongs card chocolate and cake in the side apologised and then proceeded to show us the room, I do wonder if Mr Wong enjoyed his second hand cake and I hope it Went directly to his room after it’s short stay with us. We were encouraged to book the jazz night at the bar but upon discovering it was a cigar bar as non smokers we decided to give it a miss, we also tried the eatery next to the pool but had an average g&t and had to chase every time we wanted something. Finally we thought we would make good use of the butler service and asked them to bring our grab order to the room but we were told t try gat due to “hygiene issues” they weren’t able to do this. I’m not sure whether they were worried to catch something from my MacDonalds or pass me something via it but either way I had to collect it myself. I’m only 24 hours into my stay so far and wishing I had booked either the four seasons for a luxury stay or to be honest if you need to be in this area the Amari down the road is one third of the price with better service and an amazing Consierge. The shame is I love Marriott and stay with then whenever I can, generally I find them to be efficient comfortable and great value but reluctantly you will find me staying at the four seasons next time as the quality of service far out weighs the st Regis for an equivalent price.

We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade for my birthday, and from the moment we arrived at The St. Regis, the service was exceptional. The front desk team welcomed us warmly and made the check-in experience seamless. A special thank you to our butler, Robi, who was incredibly sweet and attentive, consistently going the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable until the day we checked out. Breakfast was excellent, and every detail throughout our stay felt thoughtfully taken care of. Everything was truly perfect, and I felt so special choosing The St. Regis to celebrate my birthday this year. This experience has definitely inspired me to explore other St. Regis properties around the world. Thank you for such a wonderful stay

Stayed here for my honeymoon and had the most amazing time. The customer service was above and beyond - our butler was incredible and even surprised us with chocolates and cake! The room was stunning, with high ceilings and a beautiful panoramic view. Breakfast was really good as well. Location wise it’s not the most central but they have a shuttle service to KL Sentral Station, but can be an easy walk too. Highly, highly recommend.

Truly amazing hotel, food has local flavor on top of the usual world class cuisine menu. - Their reception room and staff are truly world class. If you were to host a reception and/or conference here, their amenities are top notch. - What is even more exciting is the view. You can see all the high-rises, the world's tallest twin-tower to the world's 2nd tallest Merdeka all from here. - National museum and many historical sites are walking distance as well. Highly recommend The St. Regis KL!

Always a nice spot to return to in KL. The facility continues to be in immaculate condition with the usual unparalleled can do attention from staff. Room is well maintained and clean. Restaurant and housekeeping staff are wonderful as is the front lobby staff.

St Regis is a very nice hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur. St Regis is located walking distance from only .06 miles from Petronas Towers. The rooms are clean w/nice amenities but really chilly @ night. The cool temps feel great after coming in from a hot humidity day out and about I Kuala Lumpur. There is a swimming pool, workout area & a bar on the 30th floor. Our room came w/a complimentary breakfast buffet (mediocre) food on the 10th floor

Some of the best kuala lampur has to offer in terms of accommodations, hard product and breakfast. Staying here should be a no brainer if you are a Marriott elite. The rooms are impressive, I was generously upgraded to a John Jacob Astor suite which is over 200 square meters and has a width the size of a few bowling alley lanes. Views and location are nice. The breakfast included some a la carte items such as a caviar omelette and a whipped lobster egg dish. Definitely worth a stay, did I mention at night you get some impressive skyline views? The high ceilings in the common areas provide an airy level of luxury... oh and did I mention the toilets have amazing views/thanks to the window wall.

The service and experience at the St. Regis is unparalleled. They make sure you have a great experience, end-to-end. Upon arrival at the airport, we were picked up by someone from the hotel and shuttled straight to the front door. At the lobby, instead of waiting in line to get checked in at the counter, they have individual desks with seats for you to comfortably check in. Once check-in was complete, we were given a tour of the hotel facilities and brought up to our room. We even got a butler (complete with the butler outfit!) who answered any questions we had and took care of any needs we had. The room itself was amazing and the view was breathtaking. I've already said a lot of great things about the hotel in general, but the best part would definitely have to be the view. Waking up to the sunrise with the city and mountains in the distance was simply beautiful and put a smile on my face to start the day. Unfortunately, we were only here for one night, but I can't wait to stay here again next time I'm in Kuala Lumpur!

I've always been a huge fan of the St. Regis after staying there extensively in Atlanta. The hotel exudes sophistication, elegance, and superior service. This experience was no different, from the minute you walk in and are warmly welcomed by the staff to the comfortable and well appointed room, there is no flaws to be had. The hotel itself is located about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown KL so not right in the action, but close enough. There is a gate to get in, so they definitely try to keep it exclusive, but doesn't stop you from getting picked up and dropped off. The bar at the St. Regis is great with a wide selection of drinks and you can order food from their in house restaurant as well. Thanks to my platinum status I was able to be upgraded to a St. Regis suite which is huge. Floor to ceiling windows across all the rooms really gives you an amazing room. The walk in closet is perfect for longer stays, and the bathroom is spacious to say the least. The toilet will throw you off if you're not used to super fancy bidet style toilets, but it is very comfortable. Oh yeah, you also have a personal massage room... Only complaint would be that the food at the in house restaurant is not the greatest (since it's American food). However, I never really dine at a hotel when I travel unless I really don't have any options, so I would still recommend for everyone to give this place a shot.

First class service. They knew my birthday was coming and had balloons and rose petals on my bed! I was traveling to Singapore for a day trip and the concierge was able to coordinate with the St. Regis in Singapore to help us out. They have absolutely gone out of their way to make our stay amazing. I will come back!

Really nice hotel. Great mix of traditional and modern decor in room and throughout the hotel. Nice view overlooking the city center from my room and from the pool area. The Astro Bar has great vibe and friendly staff. Was surprised to find that the hotel boutique at the back of the lobby hall sells brand new birkin bags that really hard to get at hermes stores anywhere. Love desserts selection at the Drawing Room.
