Our stay at The St. Regis Langkawi was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making us feel well cared for from the moment we arrived. The attention to detail and personalized service really stood out.||🌴 Room & Experience:|We booked a room with private pool and direct beach access, and it was absolutely spacious, luxurious, and beautifully maintained. It offered the perfect combination of privacy and stunning views—ideal for a peaceful retreat.||🍽️ Dining & Chef Experience:|A special mention to Chef Aswad, who went above and beyond for us. Despite being an international property, he ensured we had a wonderful Indian dining experience, preparing several custom Indian dishes for both breakfast and dinner. It truly felt like a home away from home.||👨‍👩‍👧 Family-Friendly:|There are plenty of activities for kids, making it a great destination for families. The resort balances luxury with family-friendliness perfectly.||🌅 Don’t Miss:|Be sure to visit the overwater restaurant during sunset—the view is absolutely breathtaking and not to be missed. It's a highlight of the property.||🛎️ Service:|The butler service was excellent, always attentive and helpful. However, room service was a bit slow, though not a major issue in the overall experience.||🛍️ Other Tips:|Liquor in the in-room bar is expensive, so it’s worth noting that duty-free shops are just a 5-minute drive away, where you can stock up.||Langkawi Cable Car is about 1 hour away, and the airport is around 40 minutes from the hotel, so plan your travel accordingly.||Final Verdict:|The St. Regis Langkawi is a perfect blend of luxury, hospitality, and family comfort. With stunning views, customized food options, and excellent staff, it’s truly a place where luxury meets warmth. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a high-end Langkawi experience.

We had a lovely stay at the St Regis. We booked the Penthouse Suite and were really impressed by the property and the overall service. The team was kind enough to arrange a complimentary pick up and drop off. The butler service was extraordinary and certainly made us feel more pampered. The property itself is amazing. The living room was large with breathtaking views of the sea and nearby islands. The deck is well furnished and can accommodate many people - it is also overlooking the property gardens and the beach. The main restaurant in the hotel has lot of options and will also take requests. They also have a fine dining restaurant which is on top of the water and a great sunsent view. The only downside is that the beach seems to be from reclaimed land and seemed more like a swamp with no waves. I didn't see anyone going into the water for a swim. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday with good food, great service and scenic views, this is a great place. However, if you want to go in the sea for a swim, it might be better to look for a different property.

We had an amazing stay at the Royal Sunset Villa at St. Regis Langkawi with friends and family. The villa is huge—7,000 sqft—with stunning views and plenty of space to relax and hang out. Our private butler was incredible and really made the experience extra special with thoughtful touches throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the private BBQ dinner at the villa. The setup was beautiful, the food was delicious, and having it all in our own space made it feel really personal and memorable. Overall, it was the perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and great company. Highly recommend if you're looking for a special getaway in Malaysia!

We recently spent 4 days and 3 nights at St. Regis Langkawi, and while the overall experience was pleasant, there were areas that could definitely be improved, especially considering the premium price point.Butler Service:While St. Regis is known for its signature butler service, our experience left us underwhelmed. We only met the butler in person twice throughout the stay, and even during check-out, no assistance was provided. It didn’t feel like a true “butler service” experience at all. Perhaps the hotel should reassess how they define and deliver this service to meet guest expectations.Valet Parking & Buggy Service:On a positive note, the valet and buggy services were excellent—efficient, friendly, and professional. The team handling this part of the hospitality really stood out.Breakfast:The breakfast spread was decent but honestly did not justify the price we paid. Some items were disappointing—like the congee, which was served cold, and the pre-fried noodles, which were dry and lacked flavor. Additionally, if you are vegetarian, I would strongly recommend informing the hotel in advance during your booking. Otherwise, you might be better off opting for a no-breakfast package, as the vegetarian selection is quite limited.Room & Housekeeping:The room itself was very comfortable, and the turn-down service each evening was well-executed, adding a nice touch to the overall stay.Overall Impression:St. Regis Langkawi offers a beautiful environment, comfortable accommodation, and standout valet/buggy services. However, for a luxury resort, the butler service didn’t meet expectations, and the food & beverage offerings, especially breakfast, could use significant improvement. With some adjustments in these key areas, the experience could truly match the brand’s luxury reputation.

An exceptional stay at the St Regis Langkawi. I returned after nearly 8 years and the hotel as a whole is very well maintained and managed. The staffs as always are very attentive with laser focused services. The room is of a decent size and with a great view to the beach. The breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel were absolutely fantastic! We had an unforgettable experience, and will return in the not so long distant future.

Our stay at The St. Regis Langkawi was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service made us feel truly special. The butler service was impeccable, assisting with our check-in and ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. We were delighted to receive a suite upgrade, which made our experience even more luxurious.Breakfast was a highlight, with an excellent à la carte selection and attentive service. The hotel itself offers a serene and peaceful environment, ideal for a relaxing getaway. While the beach does experience low tide with shallow waters at times, it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the resort at all.Overall, The St. Regis Langkawi exceeded our expectations with its exceptional service, beautiful setting, and luxurious touches. Highly recommended for a tranquil and indulgent retreat! I will be back again!

We used to love coming here, but sadly, not anymore. The service has significantly declined. It seems the property is now mostly staffed by junior employees who are unfamiliar with St. Regis standards. Our room wasn’t ready on arrival, the bed configuration was incorrect, and instead of resolving the issue, the staff blamed the guest. Upon further checking, we discovered they had assigned the wrong room altogether. No one appeared empowered to make decisions or handle the situation properly. While the property itself remains beautiful, the service now feels more like a two star resort. Breakfast was equally underwhelming a far cry from what we once enjoyed here. The only thing that has changed is the higher rates. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Wished we could have stayed longer because our stay at the St. Regis Langkawi was the absolute best we had during our Malaysia travel! ||From the moment we arrived and the doorman ringing the gong to the check in process, everything went effortlessly and smooth. ||Our room with the view of the Andaman Sea was simply breathtaking and I loved spending time on the balcony, just reading a book while enjoying the complimentary coffee and cookies from the butler service. ||Since our stay was part of my early birthday trip, the team decorated the room with balloons and flower petals and let's not forget the scrumptious birthday treat! |So thoughtful!||Daily breakfast was a treat, because the options on offer were nothing short of giving you choice stress, but in a good way! ||My husband, not really the emotional type, was actually pretty sad that we only stayed so short. He wanted to stay longer but we had jobs to get back to in our country :) ||We hope to be able to come back here and stay longer!||Thank you all to the amazing staff for all the good care!

Yelp
The room and sitting area was spacious. They have a welcome snack with kaya which I liked. Unlimited water bottles. Bed was super comfy. The balcony was lovely. The toilet has a door. There is a full size tub. The amenities were top notch. Loved the lotion so much I bought one to take home. Only comment is that the bathroom felt a tad bit dark. The service was just fabulous. Staff were all friendly and addressed you by name. The butler service is wonderful. They are pretty responsive after you send them a message via WhatsApp. I think you can get 3 cups of coffee sent to the room at no charge. Love the cookies that come with it. Leather shoes polished and 4 articles of clothing pressed at no charge daily. There is a packing and unpacking service that we didn't use. There is a sabering of the champagne bottle in the evening sunset which is nice. Free glass of Champagne. The buffet breakfast is quite amazing and great value. Some dishes swap out the next day. You can also order from the menu at no charge. They'll make bloody Mary's or mimosas at no extra charge. The pool and pool bar is very nice. We were the only ones and it felt like a private pool. We ordered a pizza at the poolside as well. We spent the evenings in the bar which was pretty empty most nights. the quartet band was decent. The wine was pretty good. The evening turn down service with the mood music and chocolate was a nice touch. They warned us about monkeys but we didn't see any. Uber is pretty easy from there. Getting from the airport to the hotel we got their car service which is definitely more expensive than Uber but convenient when you get off the plane. We were celebrating an anniversary and The nicest surprise was after dinner one night when we got back to the room we were greeted with a tub filled with rose petals. The water was the perfect temperature! What an amazing hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Came here for The Afternoon Tea at The St. Regis Bar and really enjoyed the food and the service provided from the reservation till the end of The Afternoon Tea. The food was very delicious, not too sweet and good for two person The price was also reasonably priced as well for. Also thank you to Emma from the Butler Service Desk who assisted with the reservation for my afternoon tea and also Prem (not too sure if I spelled her name correctly) from The St. Regis Bar who was kind enough to explain the items from The Afternoon Tea. Definitely will recommend The Afternoon Tea here at The St. Regis Langkawi.

Yelp
What can I say, I have an irresistible urge to stay at a St Regis every time that I am in a city where there is one. In this scenario of an island, I made a particular effort to visit the island because there was this St Regis there and it did not disappoint. Part I: Arrival (5/5) The Bentley pickup service is highly recommended, it truly starts the trip on the right note. Professional, comfortable and with a massage en route. Upon arrival, we were met by about a dozen members of the staff as we stepped out of the car, including the head butler, hotel manager and our personal butler. It was amazing and they even laid down the red carpet for the entrance. Checkin was done in the room, which made it much more enjoyable and easier. Part II: Marriott/SPG Platinum Premier Elite Recognition (5/5) I genuinely felt that for Platinum members, St Regis tends to be the best way to redeem points. The breakfast alone for two being included is a spectacular experience, presenting nearly anything one could desire. It is vast and delicious. As far as upgrades, we got the St Regis suite upgrade. The suite was appointed beautifully, it is spacious and the design is spectacular. The team truly went above and beyond to make us happy. I do wish that for Platinum Premier 100 members they would go a little further as far as suite upgrades, at least to the pool or the panoramic suite. Other amenity included a spa discount for platinum guests and restaurant discounts. Part III: Amusement (4/5) The property being surrounded by a tropical forest full of Dusky Leaf monkeys and king cobras should alone be pretty unusual setting for most guests. There is really one main pool here, which is beautiful, but fairly small. The beach as many mention across online sites is very muddy once getting in the water and although the hotel seemed to try and remedy that with tarp, it is what it is naturally. Not a particularly pleasant place to swim and the sand on the beach is full of shell fragments, making the volleyball court unusable barefoot and walking generally unpleasant. The gym is wonderful and the staff were awesome to arrange us a last minute boat excursion through Langkawi islands. Cabanas are simply gorgeous and an amazing way to spend the afternoon lounging. I also wish there was a proper St Regis Library here with books, as finding a book to read at the hotel was tough other than a few picture books laying around the lobby. There are badminton courts and lots of excursions to keep one entertained. I do wish the pool was a bit bigger or multiple pools existed on the property to change things up. The SPA is nice and massages were wonderful, but the facility is very small with nothing there other than massage rooms. Part IV: Design (5/5) From engraved railings, to immaculate exotic landscaping to the etching within the building, it is a spectacular place. Every detail of design is thought through and makes one wonder how a place can be so beautiful. Walking through the property feels like stepping through a palace. The artwork all around the hotel is spectacular. The only design matter I was not fond of are the odd beach chairs, but perhaps that's a matter of taste. The grand staircase was also a bit of a joke, nothing particularly grand about it. I found it amusing that they highlighted it to us. Part V: Hotel Service (5/5) This is easy 5 stars. The staff cater and foresee to every need here. From April checking in with us every morning st breakfast, to room service, to arrival decor and restaurants, this was spectacular service. It felt like we were the only ones at the resort most of the time, largely because of the way that we were treated. Part VI: Resort Cleanliness and Environment (3/5) This is where I felt disappointed the most by the resort. Although common areas and room were cleaned very well, swimming through resort's private bay, near the Andamann Sea Villa and the beaches, I was disappointed by how little upkeep there was. Trash everywhere. The least this resort can do is keeping their land property clean, but should actually be putting an effort to ensure surrounding areas are cleaned as well given the tourism income. I could not imagine paying for their best villas only to have a view of beaches full of trash and water filled with plastic. Even some portions of the hotel beach were quite dirty, again towards the villas. Keeping the interior clean is just not enough and the property needs to do more. There is obviously a larger problem with ocean garbage that we need to solve as humanity, but the least a 5 Star resort can do is keep their surrounding premises free of trash. This is an amazing property to relax in overall and with the exception of the environmental component, they went above and beyond.

Yelp
Don't waste your time at any other resorts. Wonderful service, ambiance and location. Worth the money for service alone, don't get a basic room get the St Regis Suite at minimum but even better splash out for the pool suite, you won't regret. Breakfast has free flowing champagne and bloody Mary's need I say more? Start your day right, live exquisite

Yelp
Flawless three night stay at the St. Regis Langkawi! From our dedicated butlers Kavi and Firdaus, to the amazing staff at their signature Kayu Puti Restaurant Andy, Dean, and Eprem, as well as the attentive team of ladies at the Iridium Spa, and the final farewell from valet Aizat and team. No detail was left unnoticed. Thank you for a memorable stay and for continuing the St. Regis tradition of unparalleled service!
