The St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya (Moscow, Russia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s really no such thing as an “ordinary” St. Regis, but the least ordinary of them all may be the St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya. Built in the 1870s as an aristocratic residence, it’s an opulent jewel of a hotel, with a location that places it close to Red Square, the Bolshoi Theatre, and St. Basil’s Cathedral. The interiors are outfitted in typical St. Regis elegance, plus about twenty per cent more extravagance, to suit the surroundings. The spa and fitness facilities are extensive, the Italian restaurant is first-rate, and the soaring double-height Orlov Lounge puts a typically Russian spin on the classic St. Regis afternoon tea." - Tablet Hotels

The hotel sets at historical building, which was built in 1870. The hotel has been developed to modern standards but kept the original structure. The location is the best in Moscow in terms of restaurants and shopping. A walking distance to the red square.

This hotel masterfully balances luxury with sustainability. The eco-friendly initiatives don't compromise comfort one bit - if anything, they enhance the experience. The rooms feature smart technology that's actually intuitive to use, and the bathroom amenities are top-notch. The staff's knowledge about local culture and attractions added depth to our stay, while the pool area became our personal paradi

From the moment I arrived, it was clear this wasn't just another luxury hotel – it was a masterclass in hospitality. The staff's genuine warmth and professional efficiency created an atmosphere where every guest felt special. The property itself was beautiful, but it was the human touch that truly elevated the experience.

This hotel has mastered the perfect mix of professionalism and warmth. The staff remembered our names from day one, and their recommendations for local attractions were invaluable. The common areas were always immaculate yet welcoming, and the evening social hour in the lobby was a lovely touch that made us feel part of a community rather than just guests

The exceptional service started before we even arrived, with the concierge helping plan our entire itinerary. The property itself is a perfect balance of sophistication and comfort - nothing feels stuffy or pretentious. The way the staff remembered our names and preferences made it feel like staying with old friends. The evening turndown service with local artisanal chocolates was a deli

From the moment the doorman greeted us with a warm smile to our reluctant departure, every interaction was genuine and professional. The restaurant's farm-to-table concept was executed brilliantly, and the bartender's creative cocktails became a nightly ritual we looked forward to. The gym and spa facilities were state-of-the-art.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. The rooms were spacious sanctuaries with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The restaurant exceeded our expectations, and the staff's genuine warmth made every interaction a pleasure. The views were breathtaking, especially at sunset

A semi short and sweet review. It’s five star and priced to be pretentious of course. That price point of significance comes with expectations. Of the room is not available at 3 for check in and you are asked to wait (we waited 45 minutes more) - at least offer water or a drink. It’s rude to keep people waiting at the price they are paying and not offer something while they graciously wait. Word to the wise, Massage was hit and miss. At the price paid which was extremely high, it can never be a miss. You must hire the best of the best. To pay 12000 Rubles for an hour massage - it must be an incredible experience. I felt like I was anywhere getting a very basic massage. Really disappointing. Don’t get a massage. And while my partner thought her massage therapist was of quality there was still mediocre aesthetic treatment during. Even the oil is just so so. St. Regis lives on reputation these days in finding and seating on its laurels of yesteryear. This establishment is no different. Pretentious without enough fabulous.
