"Located in the 160-year-old Leinster Hall, The Stack has to be seen to be believed. Its recently refurbished interiors are both outrageous and sublime, with emerald and sapphire walls, a leopard-print couch, and a rainbow of velvet chairs. There’s a beautiful garden out front, a brasserie and bar downstairs, and a private club on the top floor. Dining here feels like you’ve gained entry to a private, Old Cape Town world, but with a modern menu. This is hands down one of my new favorite hidden gems in Cape Town. Situated in the heart of Gardens, The Stack is nestled in the narrow Weltevreden road - you’ll be happy to hear that they provide their own parking space. Winning! Once you walk in you are immediately greeted by one of the friendly staff and made to feel like you are right at home - where you belong. The booking was super easy on the dineplan app. I immediately got a text message and email confirming my reservation. My friend was celebrating her birthday and we were treated like royalty basically. It was a perfect day, so we sat out on the terrace and enjoyed a bottle of wine. It was absolutely sublime. We both opted for the steak and chips with a side portion of carrots and I’m telling you it was delicious. Grilled to perfection with a glorious flavor and oh so filling! No Birthday is complete without dessert though, so once we were ready I ordered the white chocolate cheesecake and my friend had the dark chocolate tart. One word. YUM. We had a lovely afternoon and will most definitely be back again. Thank you!

We had such a lovely two course Sunday lunch here for a very reasonable price. The food was absolutely delightful and the service was great. Cocktails were a bit expensive (I'd recommend going for their half price during the week), but we ordered anyway and they were delicious! Atmosphere was super and we sat outside as it was such a beautiful day. 100% would go here again.

Great cocktails and fantastic decor. Food was pretty average. Steak ordered rare with a capital R was at best medium rare and mostly medium. Awesome just for drinks though.

Wonderfully calm and relaxing setting, especially at the terrace, very nice cuisine. Try the the white gaspacho - a bit spicy but really good! Very friendly and attentive stuff

The ambiance was okay, but the food was not great. Ordered steak (medium) the one side was burnt, my knife could not cut through it. I sent it back, the second steak came out well done and dry even though I ordered medium. When the bill came, the manager did not charge for the steak (which was fair) but don't think I will be back.
