The food was so good!! Such a cute place for a brunch with friends or family. The pretzels and fried pickles were fresh and crispy with flavorful beef cheese and ranch on the sides. My fiancé loved his chicken Caesar wrap with battered fries. Our friend got the steak and eggs- New York strip cooked medium rare and it was cooked beautifully and had a lovely rich flavor. I loved my breakfast plate with sourdough toast and the bacon was juicy! I loved my caramel iced latte, however don’t order the sodas. People must not order those much here because every one that came out tasted off and flat. Our server was kind but it took him quite a while to finally get us everything we asked for and we had to keep reminding him of things. We will definitely be back and I can’t believe I hadn’t been before!

I forget the name of our server but she did a great job and brought great vibes. We sat outside at the patio at 10:30am on August 8th 2025. Ordered the mango something something, breakfast tanini and the drink with tequila and orange juice. All really great drinks. Then for food we got the black bean burger and the gulf fish burger with sweet potato fries. Everything came out great and in a timely fashion. The spot was busy too. The inside is super nice. The chef and their team were working hard and definitely complimented them for the great food. Will be back. Looks like a spot where all the locals hang out and eat good food and have great drinks.

I’ve been here a few times the last few weeks and am very impressed! It’s a good mix of casual and nice, a lot of cool things to see and buy while you wait for a table! The food is fresh and the service is friendly and fast! Definitely recommend the fried chicken sandwich and any of their salads!

The food was amazing. I thought I was going to get breakfast, but our server suggested this beautiful sandwich, and im so happy I ordered it. Thank you, Scott for your recommendation! My bf ordered steak and eggs, and it was cooked to perfection. The vibe was nice. The music selection was nice, a tad loud, but I think that was because we were directly under a set of speakers.

Lovely breakfast/brunch spot! Come early for breakfast, they pack up fast especially on Saturday’s. We got the steak and eggs and breakfast burrito and side of sweet potato fries. All the food was delicious, cooked perfectly. There’s a lot going on inside this little market which is pretty neat as well. Didn’t get any cocktails, but they were decently priced for sure. We plan to come back.

The fried chicken sandwich was awesome! The fries were amazing as well, absolutely perfect crisp and flavor. Everything was delicious!

We went here for lunch and the food was great! I got the steak and eggs and my boyfriend of the burger! Both were delicious, especially those potatoes. The service was also amazing! It is an open table situation where you pick your own seat, and there isn't too much seating. Once, it warms up I feel like seating will be better with their outdoor seating!

Stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening around 6:30 pm. It's a seat-yourself kind of place, with tables inside and out front. My server visited quickly with a menu and drink menu, and returned quickly with my drink. I had the "Meat & Three" with country fried steak, fried okra, macaroni and cheese and hush puppies ($24). In retrospect, it was a lot of fried, and most everything is fried the same batter and fry oil, so I had a pretty consistent taste across my dish. Good thing I liked it! The macaroni and cheese was pleasant, not too cheesy, but not without flavor. Fun fact, on Monday evenings, they play bingo in the dining room. You can get a card while you wait for your food or to keep playing while you're eating. Winners draw a poker chip out of a can, prizes are things like $5 off, $3 off, a free T-shirt, etc. I was happy to win $5 off and used it toward a slice of the best peanut butter pie I've ever had ($10). I would definitely recommend this spot in downtown Huntsville!

The Standard has become our go-to Saturday morning brunch spot, and for good reason. The food is consistently fantastic, fresh, and well presented every time. Roman is always on top of his game. His service is top-tier, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He sets the tone for a great dining experience, and it's clear he takes pride in making guests feel right at home. If you haven't made The Standard part of your weekend routine, you're missing out on one of Huntsville's best. A+++

10/10 every time I'm here! The food is top notch, the drinks are great, the staff is phenomenal! Plus the shopping while you wait is great! Brunch with a side of an amazing new candle?? Count me in! If you can, snag a seat at the bar. It's always so much fun!!

5/5 for the food, ambiance and service. I was a bit skeptical at first, but was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Walked into this place on a Friday morning around 10 am. The place was buzzing with people and busy staff walking around. I walked directly to the cake section which enticed me. Picked the Turtle cheesecake before ordering anything. Then a friendly server checked on me and handed me the menu. Pork belly with waffles looked interesting. Ordered it for breakfast. Also ordered Salmon bowl to have for lunch later. Pork belly was crunchy and well cooked. It was easily one of the best I had so far. Waffles were fluffy, crunchy and sweet. I realized that I might have been eating bad waffles all my life until I bit into these. Potatoes and scrambled eggs in the dish were also well made. Salmon was good, especially loved the green sauce it came with. I wished the rice had some flavor in it. It was well cooked, would have been more satisfying with a bit more flavor. Turtle cheesecake was scrumptious! Fresh and was just right. Overall the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Place had good and comfortable seating, attentive waiters and prompt service. What else could we ask for! I will be visiting more often for sure.

I had a great experience here! I was expecting meh but, instead, I had a wonderful time. To start, service is great. They can be a bit busy, but we were able to find a table without issues and our server was super nice. Our Diet Cokes were constantly refilled, as well. So, let's talk food. The fried green tomatoes are AMAZING. Very reminiscent of Poppy's but a little more toothsome. The pimiento cheese is also great. My burger (sans cheese) was amazingly cooked and I appreciated that when I asked "is this house ground?" they answered honestly. It was a little under from medium, but it was perfectly seasoned and the fries were top notch. One minus was the ketchup...I'm a Heinz girl and the Sysco generic ketchup kind of sucked. This is a cute place and, though I didn't investigate the store offerings, it seemed upscale without being pretentious. Parking is typical downtown ridiculous, but the bathroom was clean and I'd go again without hesitation.

I really liked the atmosphere and the food was outstanding! The menu isn't vast, but everything was very high-quality. Service was laid-back but very friendly! Convenient location to even walk from our hotel if you're near the Von Braun center. I think the "store part" could use some improvement, but I think it's supposed to be like a little specialty/gift shop kind of thing more than a store.

It's been a minute since my wife and last had lunch here, but it's still just as good as the last time. We arrived at 11:45 and the place was packed! I guess words gotten out that this is fantastic place to eat! The wife had the standard turkey, amazing, I had the short rib panini, fantastic. The food is great, the service is excellent, and the seating area is cozy. We won't wait so long come back the next time.

Fun, casual atmosphere, it's a breakfast and lunch leaning restaurant, bar, coffee, light market, light wine shop, home goods, and comfy hang. I've seen a lot of places try this, and it vibes wrong. Here, the sum of the parts vibes well, and blends with a big apartment building, across the street, full of engineers and professionals that work around Space City. The owners are lovely people. Very committed to guests having an excellent experience. They have carefully curated the market, wines, home goods, etc. to be just on point for a restaurant with an eclectic edge of local place to pick up something small. No bodega feel here. Food was very good. The white chicken chile soup was delicious. I split a breakfast burrito, on another visit, that was well above average, and a bit too big. The only partial fail was the cornbread biscuits. They're too delicate. Break off a piece, and you have to be very careful, or the whole thing disintegrates before it gets to your mouth. The bar features some quality product, and has knowledgeable bartenders who make a very nice cocktail, afternoons and evenings. Parking is street/garage. There are a number of restaurants, in the immediate block, so garage may be your best bet.

Everything. Just go. Don't ask questions just go. Have been there twice now and they are consistent. After learning who owns them and knowing a little about the owners background it's no surprise this place is THAT good. Now go.

Great Sunday brunch spot! Plenty of beverages to choose from. Service is always great and haven't had a bad meal there. Ambiance is great, gives New York vibes.

Cute little marker and restaurant. Great options for bar seating to watch sports or outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Staff were very nice. I got the caesar salad with shrimp which was a nice size. I also got the tuna dip and was a little disappointed. It was more of a tuna salad and didn't have a lot of flavor.

Thought the waffles were the best I've ever had...and THATS a big statement. Pork belly was cooked to perfection, with a crispy crust but moist and tender inside. Great service as well!!

I have religiously had lunch here for 3 months with a great experience and referred others. Today was HORRIBLE! Bi-polar steak (half well done and half rare) - I ordered medium. The bartender had to be constantly reminded that we requested water, silverware, and other basics. It was the same with others sitting next to me. She never came back to ask if our food was presented as ordered until we were packing up to leave. I understand now why the score is slipping. The staff didn't care even when brought to their attention. First the bartender and then the guy with the wild grey hair said he would fix it and then ignored us.

If I was a local, I'd be at The Standard for BFast at least once a week. And my GOTO? The BFast burrito. Damn. Combine a warm, soft tortilla with a generous (yet simple) mix of scrambled eggs, regular sausage (chorizo is too greasy), fried potatoes, and melted cheese -- the chef gets it!!! Throw in friendly service and a comfortable setting and you get an easy 5-stars. Bravo! Cheers! RS

The food was just great. The wedge salad was the biggest salad I ever seen and a great store for odds and ends oils, popcorn all kinds of stuff to take home.

First time visit and went for brunch. We had the brioche French toast and the corned beef hash. Both were good, with the hash meaty and well balanced with the potatoes, easily the best hash I've had that I didn't cook. Seated very quickly at a table with counter options also there. Open space commingled with groceries some of which qualified as gourmet like black truffles. Large portions and a good value. We will definitely return and recommend.

Delicious food, clever ambiance. Indoor or outdoor eclectic dining. Always fun. Huge portions of amazing food at breakfast. Fries are a speciality.

I was very impressed with my first visit here. The different seating options were nice, temperature inside was perfect. Super clean, love the bar vibe and the open kitchen. I had the salmon bowl, highly impressed, very good flavor and great portion size. My bf had the steak & loaded fries, cooked perfectly and the fries were awesome. Only thing I'd change is adding some seasoning to the steak. We got a german chocolate cake togo, not my favorite but I'll definitely be back to try other slices of cake, they all look delicious. Service was great.

Had a great meal here as our family get together. Great little place that is part bar, part restaurant, part bodega. I'm sure it serves as all three to those in the area, especially for the apartments across the street. Started out with a Pumpkin Spice Mule that was pleasantly not overly pumpkin-cliche. When it came to the meal, I had a brain cramp and misread when ordering the Bacon Rach Flatbread. My brain was thinking flatbread sandwich not flatbread pizza. I'm sure the waitress thought me a weirdo when I ordered a side of sweet potato fries. When the food came to the table I regretted not going with either the Southwest Salmon Bowl or the Shrimp and Grits. The flatbread was good, though, and big enough I took about half home. Those at our table who got the Salmon Bowl or the Shrimp and Grits were very happy with their meals, and I look forward to going back while they're still on the menu.

I wanted a decaf oat milk latte. They have a machine that doesn't do oat milk or decaf espresso. So, I ordered a chai. No chai. That was disappointing. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It was very hot, but greasy. I would have liked the sandwich much better if the bread was just toasted and dry. A choice of fruit instead of potatoes would be nice too. Atmosphere was nice. Service was friendly, but waitress didn't bring me any water.

Great food - shrimp and grits were delicious. Was there early on a Monday and was nicely surprised by some bingo! Super fun!

Our waiter, William was so helpful and personable! The grits were to die for, and the chicken biscuit was delicious as well. Look forward to coming back!

We went here for brunch one weekend and it was an experience. I liked my food and the staff did their job and I would like to give this place another try. My only concern was the seating is very cramped and close. I want to go back and try maybe another table when it's less crowded. But I would recommend this place to others to try, it was nice.

I love the atmosphere at The Standard Social Club. When you walk in you feel very welcomed. Definitely a place where you can spend a few hours "working from home" or work on that screenplay you've been meaning to finish. At The Standard you have a choice of shopping their specialty items, perusing their wine selection, or getting something at their bakery. The food is delicious too. I enjoyed an old fashion breakfast with a side pancake, that was light and fluffy.

Really a 3.5/5. I think I got unlucky and ordered the wrong thing. I'll return and try something else in the future. We ventured here in a large group for lunch last Tuesday after attending a nearby event. I've been wanting to try this spot since they opened. One of my fellows suggested it as she'd been semi-recently and enjoyed her breakfast. We agreed and walked over. They were able to seat our party of nine almost immediately at around 12:45. The employees were helpful in putting together a large enough table for us. Seating is somewhat unconventional - mostly high tops and lounge type spots. Interesting and worked fine for us. The decor is pretty and there was more seating available than I really thought there would be based on photos. It's fun to shop around a little bit as you wait; The Standard has a lot of nice dry goods, many of which are locally sourced, as well as a small shop for fresh meat and seafood. It's a cool little concept and I enjoyed browsing. Pretty much everyone I came with got either the burger or the pastrami on rye with French or sweet potato fries. One person opted for the simple grilled fish. Everyone around me gave high marks to the food and seemed quite happy with what they ordered, so that's awesome! Definitely leads me to believe I just got unlucky. I just wasn't super hungry, so I got the soup of the day (minestrone) and a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet tea I had to drink was alright; it's Piper and Leaf and therefore has a pretty floral flavor. I personally like my sweet tea a little more straightforward, but I was super thirsty and still enjoyed this tea well enough. The sweet potato fries were solid. Maybe fried a little too long -- I can only describe it as "kinda dry" -- but pleasantly crispy and still slightly sweet and slightly salty. Unfortunately, the minestrone was suuuuuuuper salty! The veggies inside were numerous, varied, and cooked nicely, but the salt was just too much for me. I'm not usually super salt-sensitive, either. I only ate around 1/3 of it before I couldn't do any more. That aside, the service was pretty impressive. Our waitress handled all nine of us professionally and promptly, and was very patient with all our requests for refills, boxes, and extra sauces, lol. Our food came out fairly quickly considering the size of our party and how busy they already were. I actually think their breakfast, brunch, and dinner menus are more appealing than their lunch, so I'll definitely be back to give them another try. I look forward to tasting another item!

This is an interesting concept where the general idea is going for the feeling of a New York bodega mixed in with a restaurant. The service here was really great while the food menu was certainly on the short side. The bar menu also could use a much larger beer selection. This is still a relatively new restaurant as they opened up back in 2021 so they are still getting into their groove in the area. Overall the food here isn't bad and some items are interesting with nice preparation and presentation while I think to my taste they could add some more flavor to the dishes I sampled. Got to try this place for a larger group. The seating was nice; even though we were pretty much right in the middle of the room, it didn't feel like it. The staff was friendly and obviously knew their regulars (who were part of our group). They were attentive to the needs of the table and were quick to bring things by, refill drinks, and make suggestions if needed. I had a burger, and it was pretty good. The table had a variety of orders but they did a great job making sure everything was well-timed.

Giving it 5 stars because of how adorable this place is, plus it's a different concept from everything else downtown. It'll be truly full 5 stars once they start brunch service though. The atmosphere is great, awesome place to go hang out, grab a bite and a drink, and buy a few cute things to take home. Granted I have only stopped by for a drink, but I very much enjoyed my experience, drink was great, and food looked good I just wasn't hungry at the time. Definitely going back soon, their burgers look really good on social media at least.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at The Standard Social Market! I got the brioche French toast with sausage and eggs scrambled with cheese, and my boyfriend had the shrimp and grits. Both were absolutely wonderful! We had to wait and the service was a little slow, but nothing crazy considering the restaurant was really busy. Our waiter was super nice and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!

What is this supposed to be? A neighborhood market, a cafe, a deli, or a full service restaurant? I was confused from the onset as I seated myself at a large table as if this was a cafe ... only to be told by a waitress to sit somewhere else. So, this must be a full service restaurant?? I had a burrito and a latte. Latte ... good, burrito...lackking flavor...not my thing. Salsa is below average. Ambience has a potential. Confusing decor. In general, I feel like this place is trying too hard to be something and hasn't quite gotten there. A great location, so so food, not cozy nor comfy, ok service.

Even though we came in at the end of lunch rush and servers were rolling silverware trying to get done. We had great service, the dinning room was clean and tables were being bussed quickly. Love the feel of this spot, wanted to love the food. Started with pretzel bite which came out as pretzel rods, logs, sticks, I don't know but not bites...portion way too big, flavor decent the cheese sauce was bad, thick and gloopy. My daughter had the pancakes, nice sized but burnt on top and gooey in the middle, the syrup was some store bought flavored corn syrup crap but with todays real maple syrup prices I understand. The bacon was served limp. I know some people like it that way but I'm not a fan personally. The eggs were scrambled nicely and not over cooked. The burger I had was a good looking burger, nice bun, thick patty cooked medium, a tad salty and again with the limp bacon, but all in all a good burger. Sweet potato fries were nice and crisp, just not seasoned. Will try again, but won't rush back.

Adorable little place. They have some great specialty items to include from local vendors. Their market shelves in the back are a little sparse. I love the idea though. They have great drinks and unique desserts. I got an apple cider mimosa and it was festive and delicious! I loved it. My husband got their rosemary old fashioned and loved it!

We went for Sunday brunch. We were told 20-30 min wait but outside were long tables that seated 8 with only 2 people. I asked if we could share a table with another couple. They allowed us to. Service was quick and the waitress was kind. Half the food on the menu was unavailable and they had just opened. The drink I got wasn't mixed, the ingredients were layered, but they gave me no straw to stir it with. I got the club. It was plain and dry. The cheese on it was like fake Velveeta slices. My husband got a featured mimosa and it was delicious. He got the avocado toast. It was good but so much food.

Food was very good, service was patient and relaxed. My son and I both enjoyed the steak special.

I so badly wish I could give this place more than two stars because it is so cute. My fiancé and I live downtown and have been here before and had a decent experience. We came again this Friday night with my mother and we were quoted a 15 minute wait. After 55 minutes we finally were able to flag somebody down to check in on timing after watching multiple parties get seated before us who walked in after us. It quickly became clear that the people that were being sat before us were friends with the staff or owners, so even though they did not come in before us, they still got seated and served before us. We even watched a customer drag an outdoor barstool inside and squeeze it in on top of other people in a mad dash to beat out other waiting customers to sit at the bar. Eventually, we got seated and squeezed in at a two person table with three people, because they had already sat all the other tables, and had nowhere else to accommodate us. Our waitress was kind and she did a good job and the pimento dip was fantastic which is why I gave 2 stars. I wish I could say that our entrees were amazing and made up for poor management. However, we all ordered the steak Frites medium rare and the steak came out medium well with barely any pink at all. I'm sure we will give The Standard another try because we enjoy supporting local small businesses, but I would not recommend going on a weekend evening.

What a cool little gem in downtown Huntsville! We were looking for a breakfast place when we came across the Standard Social Market. This place has one of the coolest vibes downtown. It's a bar, coffee shop, market, AND restaurant! We had the Old School Breakfast (added pancakes), and the French toast (added potatoes) with mimosas (orange juice). All were excellent and are highly recommended. If you are downtown and looking for something different, give this place a shot!
