It’s been a long time since we ate here and decided to try it to see the quality of the food now. Food quality has improved and previous issues we had is no longer an issue. The difference now comes down to the type of crust between Zachary and the Star. It is now personal preference that makes the choice or to have different types of deep dish. Service was on the slow side and part of the issue is that they have a good number of employees there but seems like inefficient assignment leading to server taking a long time to come by from taking order to needing to get drinks refilled.

Slow Monday afternoon. 30 minutes before appetizer arrived. Pizza 5 minutes later with burnt pepperoni. Large areas with no toppings. Why would a server even deliver such horrible product? Was a special occasion. Waited a week to go. Won't be back now.

This was the first time for me and my coworkers and it will definitely be on rotation now. We went around 3 pm, so the wait was nonexistent. It was just us and another party there. We ordered the garlic bread for starters and that was gone in about 5 minutes. Those were so good. It comes with ranch and marinara. We then ordered an Italian Combo Detroit style and a meatball pizza Chicago style. Everyone at the table loved the interesting combinations for the Italian. Fan favorite. The meatballs one was also good but nothing like the other one. It was so much food that we all ate a slice and took two home after. So it was very well worth it.

Very neat building and pizza joint. We went for lunch and all had the lunch pizza special. I had the All Star pizza in dip dish. The pizza was really good with lots of sauce and meat. Also had the Cesar salad which was good. Decent beer selection with rotating handles. Had Fieldworks IPA. The building is an old Wells Fargo with safe doors still in the walls. Defiantly would recommend this place. The Pizza was $11 and $4 for Cesar salad.

$40 including tax and tip for the All-star Detroit pizza pictured. Our service was excellent, pizza ok, and it was very loud in the restaurant on a Friday night - mostly because of all the kids.

Quite frankly I was surprisingly amazed by the deliciousness of thin crust and how crispy it was while hot. On the entrance got seated as preferred with the smile and great customer service. Thin crust and salads were served in less than 10 minutes with outstanding taste and crispiness of California style pizza. Have it while it’s hot cause then it becomes soggy. Classic deep dish with chicken was very filling and had nice chunks of tomatoes in it. Good and pleasant service underlines the history of this place being a bank facility. Some interior improvements might be needed however well deserved four stars. Will see you next time.

Can't go wrong with Happy Hours here! Ordered two personal pizzas - deep-dish and thin crust. The blue cheese flavor was kinda lacking, but it's happy hour price so not the end of the world here. Well cocktails are $7 so that's a steal too! Saw a vault on the way to the restroom.. what's that about?

We came here tonight to celebrate our kids' last day of school. We ordered the Little Star deep dish for the adults and other pizzas for the kids. The deep dish arrived with the entire crust burnt all around the pizza. We flagged the waitress, who called the manager over. The manager first tried to say it's comparable to the deep dish at another table, which was definitely *not* burnt. We asked for a replacement pizza and sent the burnt one back. So we waited and waited... Kids finished their pizzas.. And waited... The waitress came by to drop off the check... And continued waiting for our pizza. It was over an hour so we flagged down the waitress. She said there was no replacement pizza coming. What?! We (the adults) hadn't had any dinner and had already been in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. We flagged down the manager again, who only apologized. The waitress turned very sour and took our credit card and gave us a receipt with no pen to sign it. When I asked for a pen she said "nope that's it, just take it." It was definitely the worst customer service experience I've experienced in a very long time tonight. Very unfortunate.

Yelp
I always enjoy my food and drinks at The Star on Park. The pizza was good and my margaritas were delicious. I also like their cauliflower side dish. The manager A is very responsive and friendly! I look forward to next time.

Yelp
We always walk past The Star on our walks down Park St so finally decided to check it out! The inside is super cool - looks like an old converted bank building! Not too many ppl during Saturday lunch, so it was a nice spot to hang out. The lunch special is such a good deal! $11 for your own personal pizza. We had enough for leftovers! I generally prefer thin crust, so we got two thin crust pizzas, which tasted great. The crust was nice and crispy. I've also heard good things about their deep dish, and the Detroit style that the table next to us got also looked super yummy, so I def want to go back and try those!

Yelp
The pizza was phenomenal! Service was good as well. The restaurant is pretty cool! It looks like a bank. What we got: The deep dish all star and added artichokes = 10/10. Garlic cheese bread = 7/10 Definitely will be back to try more food items! Parking was a pain, but, it's downtown Alameda so that's to be expected.

Yelp
Delish! Came on Sunday night and was sat immediately. We got the All Star deep dish pizza and loved the flavor and corn meal crust. Also got the broccolini and was nicely charred.

Yelp
Making a reservation for a party of 13 was easy over the phone. I was assured we would have a table upstairs. But after checking in last night at 7:30 pm for the reservation. We were given a table downstairs in front. No big deal. We actually had a party of 12 and a high chair. The service from start to finish was very slow and our server was absent at many times. Our server took about 10 minutes to come by and just take our drink orders. One of the mint tea orders didn't arrive until the food came out. Many of the people in our table got the meal deal. But few of us ordered individual pies specifically the Detroit style bbq chicken and large deep dish all star. Some of us thought the bbq chicken could've more bbq sauce. After getting everyone's order the server didn't return to check on the table to ask if everything tasted ok or if we needed anything else. At about 9 pm the restaurant was emptying out and I looked around and couldn't see any staff on the floor to ask for a check. After finally flagging down the server and asking for the bill. He brought it in a scorching hot glass, it must've just came out of the dishwasher because it was very hot. I wanted to pay but again looked around and server was not around. I walked over to him directly to pay. To my surprise he was at the bar talking to the bartender about a party he went to for New Year's Eve. The disappointing part is paying 18% mandatory gratuity of $50.22 for service that was non existent and lacking throughout.

Yelp
Came here on a busy night and thankfully our party of 2 was seated right away. What did not happen throughout the night was the right away service. We waited on a number of times for staff to get our order, bring our drink (I believe they forgot since I had to ask someone else), and get our check. The food I have always been a fan of and there is always plenty of leftovers if you get the deep-dish. As beautiful as the interior is as some have mentioned the vendor did not do the best job in creating an atmosphere. The dining area looks like a bunch of random scattered tables and chair put together and it is extremely noisy due to the open space. We got the - Pesto Chicken deep dish - filling and good - Burrata Crostini - very good All of their drinks of delicious Overall I would not come back to this location considering there is a The Star location by Lake Merritt that offers a better atmosphere and you can hear the person across from you talking

Yelp
One of my favorite stops while in Alameda CA, I love the deep dish pizza. We heard that they have a lunch special so we headed down. We ordered a classic thin crust pizza, deep dish classic and a mixed green salad. The pizza was good as always and I was very happy with the salad. $11. Eat For the pizzas and $4 for the salad. What a good deal. The service was good, the servers friendly. It's a nice casual place to enjoy your lunch.

Yelp
This combination is made with the freshest ingredients, and the crust is amazing perfectly crunchy and full of flavor. Unlike some places we've tried in the Bay, the pizza isn't soggy at all. It's cooked just right. The wings are some of the best we've ever had! My son never liked wings until he tried these and now he can't get enough of them. We love pairing them with the BBQ sauce and homemade ranch. The ranch tastes incredibly fresh and really brings everything together.

Yelp
A solid 4 star establishment. Whether you want the deep dish or the thin crust, they do it well here. Service and ambiance are great. Good for a casual date night and even good for a casual family outing. Ya can't go wrong with what you order, it's all about how you feel that day. My only knock is that I think it's pricey, so it's not an everyday treat, but when you come, it's well-worth it.

Shaunie G.

Yelp
First, time trying them today. Pizza and cheese bread was super good. They were very nice as well. My only complaint is they are a little slow. Will for sure go back!

Yelp
Star is a favorite when it comes to deep dish pizzas. I would have rated 4-5 stars but there was a customer service hiccup. The staff addressed it and the manager spoke with my table. The pizza was delicious, and crust is definitely a cut above the Zachary's brand. If you order a deep dish or Detroit style pizza it can be up to a 45 minute wait so call in your order or be prepared to try their appetizers while you wait. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
We tend to come here during happy hour because we love their personal sized pizza deal. It is a filling, delicious snack for one or two people depending on how hungry you are! We always get a beer on tap too! We love this place

Yelp
Came here for the first time a few weeks back and split a pizza with a friend - I forget what we got exactly, but it was on a thin crust and they let us split two pizza types 50/50, which was nice of them! We sat at the bar and I didn't catch his name, but our bartender was friendly and helpful. Pizza came out quickly and all the toppings were delicious. I also got a Paper Plane cocktail which was... generously poured (not necessarily in a bad way.) The ambience of the space is gorgeous - a bit strange being on the renovated inside of a two-story bank (including a huge vault behind the bar), but still gorgeous nonetheless. Had a great time and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The Star on Park is a beautiful piece of historic Alameda. It is a landmark, known for being the location of The First Bank of Alameda (Google it!). The interior has been restored to its former glory; even the original vault exteriors remain (unsure if the vault areas are open). We were a little worried that the one employee working the front who was taking orders, making drinks, bussing tables, and serving food and drinks was going to be too stretched thin to cater to us, but he was a multitasking rockstar. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time (15 minutes or so after ordering), and he was able to wrangle some help from the back to bring the food out. We tried all different types of pizzas: thin crust, deep dish, Detroit style, and their thin crust was a clear winner. This was my first time trying Carbonara pizza, and it was excellent! I also ordered the Caesar salad and love that it came with anchovies - not every place offers them. In addition to the thin crust Carbonara, we also had a thin crust Little Star with fresh and roasted garlic mixed (must try! 5/5), a Detroit style Pesto Chicken, and a deep dish All Star. The wings are a must, too! The Star is part of a family of pizza restaurants scattered around the Bay Area, so it's very likely that you have been to one of their sister restaurants since they've been around for at least a decade. I've seen that they expanded to Oregon, which means they must be doing something right!

Yelp
Bomb, per usual! Service was great and the environment is always chill. Got the Dinner for Two and loved every bite. We love this place!!

Lee L.

Yelp
Slow Monday afternoon, 30 minutes from time we sat down to our appetizer. Pizza show up a few minutes later. Looked like crap and the pepperoni was burnt. Clearly your kitchen is having issues. The server was ok. The only complaint is that he was either willing to serve a burnt pizza or is not familiar with what your pizzas usually look like. Turned what was supposed to be a special occasion into an experience that could have been easily beat by Dominos.
google avatar

Sue F.

Yelp
We have only ordered to go but the food was delicious!! Pizza, the mixed salad and wings were all excellent. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area and in the mood for pizza.

Yelp
My friend and I arrived here six minutes before Happy Hour ended at 6 PM. I have been at The Star on the Park several times in the past. For some of my siblings and me, The Star is one of our favorite places to have a freshly made pizza. I like Round Table, but this bar/restaurant has a truly beautiful ambiance. The service was excellent and the waitstaff was attentive to our needs. Kudos to the employees who served us. Eats: My friend had the roasted garlic pizza, Greek Salad and an Arnold Palmer. Me: Mushroom pizza and an Arnold Palmer. I did not have enough room for their roasted cauliflower. A six sliced one topping pizza was $7.00 and the Greek salad was $8.00 during Happy Hour. My friend raved about this place and said the quality of her meal was much better than The Star on Lakeshore Avenue in Oakland. There will be more visits to The Star on Park for the roasted cauliflower and pizza.

Yelp
I've eaten my fair share of pizza and The Star on Park is hands down the best pizza and only place we go to in the Bay Area. So much so that we always take a pie home when swinging by Alameda regardless if we're having it for dinner or not. Put it in a steamer oven and I'm a happy camper the next day =)

Yelp
The Star Alameda is my favorite pizzeria in town! Kilian and Augusta are so kind, helpful, and caring. Probably the main reason why I choose to dine here. I wish the candied walnuts would stay with the goddess salad. I like having the option of having them added though. I understand for "nickel and dimming" costs, I can imagine people who don't care for walnuts or are a member of the anti-nuts allergy era but to my friends and me, we DIG THE WALNUTS. In fact, that's the main attraction whenever we order the Goddess. The thin-crusted Italian combo is my fav! And the meatballs rocks also! The interior design updates are awesome! I love the new layout! Most of all, I love staring at the chandelier and murals! This building space is simply divine. Thanks for the superior service always! Happy holidays! And all the best!

Buddy M.

Yelp
Repeat after me: 1. Drinks before appetizers 2. Drinks before appetizers 3. Drinks before appetizers Every time we come here, we order drinks that somehow never arrive until our dinner does. And good luck getting a second drink. First, you can barely get your server's attention. Second, by the time that second drink arrives (after you remind the server about it), you're boxing up your leftovers to go. The restaurant must be leaving tons of money on the table here. The food is pretty good. The space is awesome. Somehow the service always manages to be underwhelming, leaving us (semi-regular customers) feeling like no one is taking ownership of the customer experience. That said, the Black guy who brought our pizzas out during our last visit was thoughtful and detail-oriented, so thanks to him!

Yelp
Star in park is always a great time. After 6pm, you can snag some free parking off to the side and quickly enter the restaurant. The food is tasty - I enjoy both their thin crust and deep dish pizzas. And being inside a former bank adds to the unique ambience. The staff are attentive and keeps our water carafes full.

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch/lunch dining al fresco and people watching. This is part of the "Star" pizza locations from the city, but have only been to this location. The service was great and food was good. The lunch specials for individual sized salads & personal pizza are a good value and nice that you don't have to order a large pizza and overindulge. My group ordered the All-Star, chicken pesto and Old School. Nice variety to be able to select a thin, thick or Detroit crust (on regular size pizzas). They allowed me to add protein to my lunch sized salad and I had the roasted Cauliflower. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Side note: the location used to be an old bank, if you dine inside you can enjoy the old charm and walk by the large vault door. Bonus!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is what will get you to come back. Winning recipes for sure. However this amazing building is wasted with a cold to non existant atmosphere. TVs on for no apparent reason. There is an attempt to reorganize the dining area to bring some life to this place. Waiting staff are doing their job nothing less nothing more.
google avatar

Zinia G.

Yelp
I love this spot, particularly for happy hours! The pizzas, salads, sides, sandwiches, and drinks are all delicious. Prices are affordable, the staff is very welcoming, and the place feels at once both spacious and intimate because of the dimmed lighting. Highly recommend! Easy to find street parking and lots of places to walk around and visit nearby.

Yelp
We came here for Mother's Day and ordered the deep dish Italian combo with sausage and the mixed salad. It was very delicious and really cheesy! The crust has a good buttery taste to it and a little soft too. The mixed salad was great for 4 people and had a great mix of Gorgonzola cheese, cherry tomatoes, candied walnuts, vinagarette dressing and red peppers. The restaurant has a good vibe where it's classy but still casual. On our bill we were surprised to see the extra surcharge and not sure what it is. We asked the waitress and she kind of rolled her eyes at us and didn't really appreciate that. This surcharge didn't include the tips and tax. Overrall, if you're looking for great deep dish pizza spot this would be a great place for family and friends to enjoy drinks too.

Yelp
Went for HH today and it was amazing. Personal pizza with thin crust was $7. The crust was perfect and the sauce to cheese ratio was spot on. Also had a mini salad for $6 and let me tell you it was not mini. And delicious!! I had the Caesar and my sister had the wedge. I think the croutons on my salad were the best I've ever had. A bottle of rosé for $24. Sat outside which was absolutely lovely. The service was superb. I will definitely be back. HH or not. Highly recommend! I also saw the deep dish pizza which looked amazing. Just not my thing. Highly recommend

Yelp
Dropped by for a quick dessert after dinner. God pleasantly surprised by the service and slightly disappointed for the fact that they ran out of cherries for our old-fashioned. Not too many people, quiet and nice atmosphere is something that always appreciated.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on what seemed like a non busy day. So was seated fairly quickly. Service was decent, not super fast but not too slow. Cool looking place, definitely what stole the show was the food! Delicious, nice helpings on large pizza but burrata was definitely something that needs more . Would come back again

Yelp
The deep dish pizzas are biiig! One slice is filling enough, the pizzas (even a small) can definitely be shared with multiple people! Caesar salad could have used more dressing, Italian salad was fresh and loaded, the meatballs were ok but not great. Deep dish BBQ chicken and thin crust Little Star -- while the pizza/toppings itself was tasty, the crust was very crumbly and not flavorful which kind of threw it all off. The inside is nice, cute and has good ambiance lighting for dates or just a night out with friends.
google avatar

Mandy K.

Yelp
5 Stars for THIS Star.. This rating had everything to do with the rim of the Star Sunrise. It had a chamoy/tajin rim that made me feel like I was in Mexico. The patio is quaint and the service was phenomenal. Diego was our server and was super friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Jasmyn F.

Yelp
Everything here was amazing! From the food to the drinks to the service our overall experience was wonderful. Our server John S was very hospitable and kind. The food came out quicker than expected. We went on a Friday night and had a reservation for 2 at 7pm but I don't think the reservation was needed. Cheesy Garlic Dippers 8/10 Caesar Salad 9/10 Meatball Pizza 10/10 Limoncello Martini 10/10 (so good I had to have 3)
google avatar

Dayna M.

Yelp
I visited on a Saturday evening and made a reservation for 8:30p but that wasn't needed since it looked like we missed the dinner rush and were seated immediately. We ordered a couple drinks to start. We had an old fashioned and the Italian Margarita (I think it was called) and they were okay. For food we got the Burrata & Garlic Croistini. I enjoyed this because I love Burrata, but the pesto was a tad salty for me. I definitely underestimated the size of the pizza and probably shouldn't have ordered an appetizer because I only ate one piece of pizza. I've never had Detroit style pizza so I wanted to try it, but I think I should have gotten thin crust. The pizza was okay, I just don't think Detroit style is my thing. Service and the ambiance were good.

Yelp
Hmm I don't know why Star Pizza doesn't have higher reviews-- it's great. First off, they have a great happy hour menu. Super affordable drinks and bites from 4-6pm on weekdays. Their regular menu is equally great. Prices are fair for high quality food. My favorite is the Detroit style pizza with Calabrian sausage, ricotta, and honey. The thin crust pizza is also great. I'm usually not a thin crust fan because it can be dry, but that's not the case here. The crust is buttery and the texture is on point. We also loved their Caesar salad, meatballs, and especially the ricotta crostini. Their Italian margarita is delicious as is their sangria. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside and great for a larger event with friends or family. They also have good outdoor seating right off park street. Finally, the service is good. We really liked our waiter who we've had a few times. He's a very funny and sarcastic guy who is super memorable and cool. Overall, I love Star Pizza and would recommend it. In my opinion, it's the best pizza place on the island.

Yelp
One of the gems in Alameda: The Star. I would say this is a top spot for deep dish pizza: the restaurant, the customer service and the pizza are all great overall. The Star counts with a bar with plenty alcohol options and a diverse menu, including salads, sandwiches and, of course, pizza The ambiance is the best night time, with plenty people out enjoying a night out in Alameda. As a group, we had their deep dish pepperoni; with 2 slices, you'll be satisfied, trust me. You can take to go, and the dessert options are delicious as well. The Star is a 5 star spot!

Yelp
Our time at Star on Park was a great experience. We went on a Saturday evening, around 6pm and it was still quiet and not too busy yet. By the time we left, the restaurant was lively and busy! There are tons of TVs to watch the different sports games, a huge bar with cute drinks and a variety of options, and the restaurant itself looks like it is in an old bank building which is a neat touch the the environment. This is a great place to eat an affordable upscale Italian dinner, with food that is truly good and has a variety of options. I am dairy-free and was able to order a pizza with vegan cheese which was so good! They also seem to be very allergy friendly with tips for those who are vegan and vegetarian and how they can eat comfortably as well as gluten free options. The deep dish pizza was not vegan, and cannot be made vegan but was also very good. Additionally, the salad was great and was enough to share between two people. Ultimately, between the environment, and the great food and the kind service, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nicer dinner in downtown Alameda.

Yelp
We have been craving coming here since our recent Chicago trip. Quality/Quantity - We are creatures of old habits, we ALWAYS order the same dishes when we come here. Our usual order is: Wings, 1lb with ranch - My daughter loved their ranch, which is weird as we are not a ranch dressing family... Believe it or not, I ate all the celery. :) All Star 9" - We usually get the larger size, but I already knew we would have leftovers. This was my favorite, plus I have been craving it. Thin Pesto Chicken 12" - This used to be my favorite, but after our Chicago trip, I have been craving the deep dish. They also have a full bar, beer, and wine available. But after my Reno Bacon, Bourbon & Beer event by Care Chest, I really need to take a BREAK from drinking! Atmosphere - Huge space. Previous owner invested millions into this place. The chandeliers are still here! Plenty of seating, upstairs, inside, outside, bar, etc. I think they used to have a private room? But it looked closed today. Events, see website and/or my picture. Friday & Saturday = Park after dark event, see website. Reverse Happy Hour. Separate take out & delivery entrance in the back of the restaurant. Open 7 days a week from 11:30am to 9pm or midnight. Service - Isabella was good, thank you. Price - $79 + 2% surcharge + tip. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 2004 and with your 5 restaurants. Did you used to have 7 locations? Also congrats on your success since 2016 with the following brands (many that I have visited): Polanco (Sacramento), Ben N Nicks & Cato's Ale House (both in Oakland), Bar Camino (Walnut Creek) and of course The Star & Little Star Pizza.

Yelp
The food was delicious and I lives the fact it was local. This will be my go to place whenever I want some delicious Pizza in the area. The service and ambience was good.

Yelp
Love what the Star has done transforming a stodgy bank into a cool, hip restaurant. Great ambiance, love the old high ceilings which help keep the sound manageable. Nice staff. We decided to try the bacon cheddar big dippers and a "Detroit style" classic pizza. The dippers were like focaccia bread and very yummy. The pizza was also very good but a little salty. Overall, a nice night out in the Island City.

Yelp
I came to alameda for my nieces birthday and found the star on park on OpenTable and I'm so glad I did! We came here with a party of 8 and they had no problem accommodating all of us. We all started with drinks and the burrata appetizer. We then got Chicago style pizza which was delicious! So delicious no pictures were taken lol. The food was hot, tasty and so good. There were no complaints from anyone! There is a parking lot in the back and after 6pm you don't have to pay the meter. Next time I'm in town to visit I will definitely be back.

Jeni M.

Yelp
On a recent visit, we had an unusual experience at Star on Park through no fault of the restaurant. We were enjoying their fabulous Happy Hour with friends who live locally and some out of town guests when a strange incident occurred. Without divulging too much about our issue, let's just say we felt completely supported by waitstaff and management team at Star. Brian, the manager addressed the problem professionally and was very empathetic and apologized profusely for the circumstances. Needless to say, our huge salads, delicious pizza and drinks were enjoyed by all. Then unbeknownst to us, ended up being complimentary! Yelp
Been here a few times not sure why this is my first review Last nite 7/7/23 Service was great Our waiter was friendly and efficient as well as personable Venue is clean and well decorated There is a full bar with TVs at each side of the bar Tons of seating inside and a few seats outside We were seated kinda in a corner that doesn't have much lighting I didn't mind it but my friend needed to use his flash to see the menu Lol Prices are reasonable We ordered bbq chicken sandwich with a salad as a side and we each ordered the watermelon blush So glad we shared the bbq chicken sandwich because it is HUGE! The sandwich itself is GOOD The bread is soft yet crunchy The chicken is juicy The bbq sauce is good and not overpowering sandwich comes with jalapeños and cilantro you would never think all those items pair well together but THEY DO!!! I would definitely order this item again The watermelon blush comes with a fresh piece of watermelon (nice touch) the drink itself is OK but it's kinda small!! Comes in a small glass and drink is $13 Initially we were looking to order pizza but it doesn't look like they sell pizza by the slice but they do sell personal pizza ..... Regardless I am happy we opted for the bbq chicken sandwich

Yelp
The pizza was good. I got Detroit style. The prices are high, but the pizza is good... you get what you pay for. It's more of a special occasion pizza than a weekly occurrence.

Yelp
Pizza was excellent and the appetizer "spicy chicken wings" were just as good. Interesting building ... was previously a bank and thats why there are so many "huge" SAFE's with Huge and Heavy Doors ... I was told a few of these still work, but the rest of Safe Deposit rooms are used for space, but of course you really cannot remove the huge Steel doors. We chose the All Star combo pizza thin crust, and it was good. It had a lot of sausage on the pizza, I think next time I'll ask for more Pepperoni .. just to balance it out. But no matter , my pizza was excellent. Ambience was great and can tell lot of the customers are regulars. Beautiful space to have pizza .. nice wooden interior and it has a huge Bar for what I can imagine for sporting events on TV.

Yelp
Way too crowded and noisy. Service is like a drive-by... Seating people s very crowded and entire section is not in use.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious! The gluten free crust and vegetarian topping was so good! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy but definitely a casual nice atmosphere. The service was great, we had a friendly and attentive waitress!

Yelp
What I actually appreciate the most about The Star on Park is the atmosphere and the decor - it's a casual restaurant with a really nice bank theme, as I believe it used to be a bank. There were really nice chandeliers and the counters was the the "bank vault". It definitely had a nice vibe to it. I was impressed when I stepped in. My party of 4 didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night, so we had to wait about 15 minutes, which wasn't too long. We shared: 1) California Thin Crust Pizza, which is pesto based with arugula, sun dried tomato, and red onions with a balsamic reduction. I appreciated the tang and the pesto! It had really good flavor and a nice crust. 2) Vegetarian Deep Dish Pizza - definitely quite a heavy dish as it's deep dish and packed with zucchini, mushrooms, and bell pepper. It also had a good garlic flavor! 3) Mixed salad - refreshing salad to start out meal! I'm personally not the biggest fan of pizza in general, but I did appreciate the thin crust pizza here. I enjoyed this place more because of the atmosphere! But if I'm ever craving pizza, I'll definitely stop by!
