This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was very disappointed, the only positive thing about my experience was the young waitress who served us, but unfortunately the food was really terrible. Initially I ordered the Thai beef salad, and it was honestly inedible, the beef was so tough, dry and tasteless, it’s as if it had absolutely no seasoning at all, and the lettuce didn’t seem super fresh, the dressing was very sparse and tasteless, it was definetly nowhere near authentic Thai flavours, I’ve never in my life had to take a meal back to the kitchen my whole time eating out.. until today. As the nice waitress brought out my replacement dish (gnocchi) I heard I believe one of the chefs or the manager getting very upset with the waitress saying “we don’t cater to people’s preferences”, my preference was simple food that wasn’t completely disgusting, unfortunately the gnocchi was not much of an improvement as it was very flavourless and oily, I had to add a lot of salt and even then it wasn’t very good, I at a few bites then we packed up and left. Honestly I’m very disappointed with the experience and I wouldn’t recommend coming here, don’t be fooled like I was by the positive reviews and photos that look appetising , I honestly cannot understand why there are so many positive reviews, maybe they have changed owners or managers? I’m not sure, save your money.
EDIT- Since I am unable to reply to the owners comment I will reply here, I absolutely did not eat all of the beef in the salad, unless there was only 2 pieces of beef in the entire bowl? It’s actually rediculous that instead of taking my genuine criticism in stride and apologising and endeavouring to improve you tell me I must be lying about how dry the beef was? And even if the gnocchi recipe is your standard recipe, that’s is completely irrelevant, it was terrible, I’m sorry but it was nothing like previous images found from 9 months ago in your reviews, I would post and image but for some reason it won’t let me. I have genuinely never in my life returned a dish back to the kitchen, it was just some cherry tomato’s drowned in oil, a few pieces of fried sage, a tiny layer of cheese you couldn’t taste, no onion, no garlic, no aromatics of any kind, no salt, and the gnocchi itself was doughy and nothing like how authentic gnocchi should taste, I will no longer be putting any more energy into this as it’s a waste of my time, but I do hope future patrons will see my review and take your backhanded response as a red flag.
P.s to the lovely girl that served us, you do not deserved to be berated for the chefs doing a bad job, I hope you’re able to leave this toxic work environment
