The Station Cafe Bar Restaurant

I had a great experience at this restaurant located in the train station. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The standout, however, was the service—the waitress was friendly, caring, and went out of her way to be accommodating. It’s a lovely spot for a meal, whether you’re just passing through or looking for a place to enjoy good food with great service!

Rowdy atmosphere. Live music was fun. Food was hit and miss. The desserts on the menu were nice but the basque cheesecake from the counter which was recommended to us was super weird and had a strong artificially processed cream cheese taste. We split a slice between the 3 of us and my dining companions couldn’t finish theirs.

Came on a Friday afternoon so it was nice and quiet. What a great idea for a train platform! Had fish and chips and pork belly burger. Both were fantastic! The outdoor seating is nice and spacious! Was a bit of a chill though but that's just standard Melbourne weather for you!

Trying very hard. The menu pretty good but the execution not always up to it. It is so very close to excellent, but needs some attention to detail especially on the food side of the house. Will definitely be going back because it basically is very good, some of the food needs attention*. Also a very nice location in an amazing old railway station from the gold days. Sitting at the seats on the platform is very special, especially if you get one of the giant grain carriers through the station during lunch. My vote is that it is an excellent place to go, you just need to find the dishes you like. * having said that, and not meant as a parody, the chips in here are divine! Someone really knows how to cook a proper double cooked chip!

Terrible place. Untidy tables, unwilling staff. The customer is the last thing here. Sorry. You must have mistaken me for someone else. I would never say anything like that to anyone. I wrote a real review and I will not change anything. I experienced what I described with you. and I noticed that you responded to negative reviews arrogantly and furiously. and moreover, I did not even eat at your place. I did not speak to anyone and left as soon as I entered and saw your pub. I preferred to go and eat at the nearby McDonald's.

Have been here numerous times over the years. Current menu excellent. Highly recommend the cakes. Even took some home. Yum!

Had lunch here on a very wet day during the Energy Breakthrough event. Can sit inside or outside under cover on the platform. Friendly and quick service. Salt & Pepper Calamari was very enjoyable. Cappuccino good. Coffee loyalty card. Reasonable prices.

We ate here, while waiting for a family member undergoing a day procedure at the local hospital. The staff went over and above to accommodate us. As we pulled out devices, lingering over lunch and drinks, we were directed to power points should we need them. Could not have been made to feel more welcome and comfortable. Very impressive. Thank you!!
