Very much enjoyed my 3 nights stay at the Hôtel les Degrés de Notre Dame. A unique 16C hotel that’s located IMHO in the most interesting & vibrant part of Paris. My room was on the 4th floor and was lucky to have a view of Notre Dame out my window. The room looked as if it had been fairly recently renovated. The bed and especially the pillows were very comfortable. The compromise of this 16C unique hotel is there’s no Lift, so be prepared to get that suitcase(s) up the staircase. But once done it’s done! When I mentioned I only drink tea, the manager kindly knocked on my door and even offered me a mini kettle. I found the staff on duty went out of their way to make sure all was well. For me I did not wish to have housekeeping every day, but if you wish -- just ask. Location: Steps away from both the Seine & Notre Dame as well as many bars & restaurants. Walking to the Musée du Louvre along the Seine/over Pont Neuf bridge ~slow 25 mins walk with much to see along the way. Transport: Saint-Michel RER B Line station takes you direct from/to Charles de Gaulle & the Saint-Michel RER C Line station takes you direct to/from Versailles. All in all the Hotel was a Great little find!

Good location, bed was good and everything but our room had bed bugs, can’t get in contact with the place but about it but no answer. we asked for new towels and cleaning of our room but never got it. The staff was nice but the bed bugs ruined the last day. Hope I can get in contact with them with this review

Highly recommended! I stayed here in a charming, traditional old-style Parisian room for 4 nights on a trip to Paris. Great location, right across the Seine from Notre-Dame and walking distance to many great restaurants in the Latin quarter. Sergio was the host and manager, and he was very welcoming, friendly and gracious. Would 100% return and well worth the money for a charming, antique building in the heart of Paris.

The location of the hotel was perfect for traveling around in Paris, either by foot or by metro and RER. The hotel was in the center of the city but the neighborhood was very quiet. Under the hotel there is a very nice and welcoming cafe/bar that we visited with great atmosphere great music selection and a nice owner. The decoration of the room was romantic. The room was warm and even some times too warm from the heating. There was all the time hot water in the bathroom and every request that we made to the staff was accepted. The towels were changed every day. We left our luggage for 6 hours in the lobby after we checked out and without any worry.||||The hotel would probably be a great choice a decade or two ago. In the center of the city but an old hotel with very little or no renovating for probably 10-20 years now. The painting was falling of the wall. There was mould in the bathroom tiles. There was decades of dirt in every corner of the wooden floor. In the bathroom every stand for toiletries was broken. The water pipes were noisy either you or any other room beside or above you was using it bathroom.

· 1. Excellent location. We could see Notre Dame cathedral from our bathroom window. On Saturday, few minutes from the hotel, there is a little street market with amazing cheese. Close to the hotel you have amazing bakery, and supermarket. ||||2. The decor of the hotel was really unique: paintings on the wall. You could see that the building is old and has amazing history. ||||3. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. Haven’t had such a great experience with the personnel they in a long time. ||||4. The room was quite big and comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well , especially two sinks. I didn’t feel like a fish in a can. The furnitures in the room were old, but in my opinion it created this unique feeling of being in Paris in 1980.||||5. The price was not too bad.||||The only objection I have is mold under the shower.

We Booded through Bookings.com as we had a party to go to on Saturday 5th May, needed to be in the Notre Dame area & I can say what a perfect location, not just for the party but for everything, sight seeing, good local restaurants & tubes/trains. |The Hotel it's self was great, very Persian & very quaint & yes very Boutique style. Good size room, clean, roomy & had everything we needed. Our room was on the 4th floor !!!!! 69 wooden steps to go up so need to be fairly fit but had great views from 4 Windows so worth it. A little noisy out side at night even tho we got in at 1.45 but Hey it's all part of it. Nothing was a problem for I think the Hotel Manager (We needed an iron & adapter & he had both as well as an ironing board) We didn't have breakfast as so many little cafes around the area. When we checked out they were also really happy to look after our case till late afternoon.|Yes I would return for a longer stay (4/5 nights) as everything you need when visiting Paris for sight seeing.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location.||||We did not complete our stay at this hotel due to the horrible bed bug infestation in our room (see pictures). I woke up the first morning with hundreds of bed bug bites on my back, arms, shoulders, arms, face, hands, feet. The itch and swelling was extremely painful. After realizing, I inspected the room and found many disgusting bed bugs in the bed sheets and crawling on the lamp shades and walls. We should have suspected the hotel was a terrible option when checking in as we immediately noticed the hotel was unclean. The single stairway leading to all rooms was filthy with visible dirt and hair. The room had a moldy smell and the paint on the walls was dirty and peeling. The restroom looked and smelled like a like a rag was simply used to wipe down. The smell of urine in the restroom was strong. Black scum and filth in the bathtub (see pictures). There was not a way to speak to receptionists as they leave after 6:00. The room may be in a prime location, but it is not worth it whatsoever.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, and for the price it wasn't bad at all. We were on the 4th floor, and could see Notre Dame only a couple of blocks away out our window. Friendly check-in. Cleanliness was fine - clean bedding, clean towels. No service for our second night (no bed made, no clean towels), so make sure you hang your towels to dry. Bed was reasonably comfortable, and king size which is difficult to find in Paris. Be aware there is no elevator, and the stairs are windy (70 steps to the 4th floor). A bit difficult to navigate carrying even small luggage, as well as after a couple bottles of wine. :)
