I just checked in at around 11am. The elevator is broken. I go to my room and the water isn’t working! I call downstairs to see what is going on they tell me the water will be off for a few hours. I proceed to let them know how inconvenient this is and they could have told me this before I checked in and they HUNG UP IN MY FACE! That was disrespectful and unprofessional! This will definitely be my last time coming here! And they said they can’t discount my room or give me a refund!

A friend recommended staying at this hostel (make no mistake not a hotel). When we checked in the guy behind the desk looked at us like we were crazy (80 yrs old). Our room was directly over the nightclub and it was far from having any update. The bed had a plastic cover over mattress which made for a difficult sleep. This location great for 20-45 yr olds. Anyone older should check out all the many small boutiques on Collins Ave for a more comfortable stay.

This place is a nice base for staying in Miami. On arrival, I was given a wristband and a keycard for my room. The room was big, and the beds had a privacy curtain, which was nice. There was a big bathroom, which had a toilet a large sink area, and a big shower. There was an app that you could download and become part of a chat group for people staying here, but it was quite complicated to get, so I did not bother. I asked the person on reception for some change for the buses, and they did not know what a quarter was. I asked for some information about a couple of places, and they were not very helpful. One of the evenings our bathroom was locked most of the night/morning so I had to go and use the toilet by Reception. A couple of times I went to the toilet by Reception and the person on Reception was asleep in their chair. I tried to get their attention, but it was no good. I struggled to sleep due to the vibration of the music downstairs, and some nights it was cold, due to the air conditioning in the room, and thin sheets. They have a water machine by reception which was handy when it had water in. If someone who works here comes to your room, and says they are going to call the police unless you leave they mean it, as one night I woke up to at least one police officer in the room, dealing with another person in the dorm.

This hostel has very bad overall guest service. This Hostel has many points against it, but I will be as brief as I can. I booked a Deluxe room with 2 queen beds and when after checking in at 6:30 pm we entered our room and there was only one queen bed. We returned to the reception and the receptionists began to act in a way, we were surely wrong. After checking their system they tell us that this is the room that corresponds to us and that their system doesn't say 2 queen beds. But in my Booking it clearly said "Two queens beds". They said that since we booked through Booking we should complain to them and they disassociated themselves from the problem without providing any type of solution. Since we had no other option we opted to sleep next to my friend in the same bed Then they told us that within two days we could be moved to a double queen room. In those days no one apologized to us for anything, every time we asked if they were going to change our room no one knew anything about our case. No one showed Very little interest in solving the guest's problems. The rooms had very annoying noises from the AC and the bathroom floors were completely filled with water after shower.. When they changed our room they told us that it was not their fault, but rather that it was Bookings' fault and that they were only moving us to do us a favor. Only 1 or 2 receptionists were very attentive to us.|

I made reservations for a two night stay on 02/15/23 for 07/14-16/23. I confirmed the reservation again the day before arrival. When we arrived, we were told there was a problem with our room and they didn’t have another room. They walked us to a sister hotel(Essex) which was inferior to the Viajero. The Essex charged us $371 for the same 2 days compared to $567.72 for 2 days at the Viajero. The new hotel did not have a pool on site and was lacking several other amenities. I made a request to the Viajero to refund us the $196 difference in what I paid and the charge of the Essex was $371. They refused and told me the Essex price was a mistake and that it should have been the same as the Viajero. I feel this is fraud. The Viajero in the end offered a small credit to a room if I return to Miami. What good is a credit for a place that doesn’t honor reservations made 5 months in advance. Not a good company to do business with.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. My room was just a enough for two people. Bathroom sink is a little outdated but as long as there was hot water running I don't care. The shower was hot and the AC in the room was sufficient. Hidden gem during night time hours by the lobby. Bed was comfortable and my room had a view that faced the 3 pools. Pools were nice , warm and maintained. I will be staying here again!

The most RUDE staff! 2 managers and the waiter! Long story short, their outside hostess asked us to eat there and apparently it was close to their closing time and we didn't know this. We were just walking by! All 3 peaked at us so many times as if to say hurry up. The male manager cleared our entire table, PLACEMATS, candles and all WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING. He reached over our food without any apologies. I need someone to look at the cameras for Sunday May 19th around 11pm and see the most ridiculous treatment I've ever seen! Been coming to Miami Beach for 5 yrs now and I will never eat here again or advise anyone else to!

Yelp
I'll begin with the fact that the location of this hotel is great but after that I have zero positive things to say about my stay. We were told we would not be able to check in until after the check in time we booked "at latest 4pm (per the website) but likely closer to 4:25pm." We requested a room clean on day 3 but did not receive service. On day 4, the room was cleaned however our room was as left unlocked for 6 hours with all of our personal belongings inside. Better yet, our keys did not work to get back into the room afterwards (completely locked out). But that wasn't the end...we got back (again had to get the keys fixed and told housekeeping was "informed" of the issue) and the TV was non functional. When asked about the TV getting fixed the only choice we had was another room. This "solution" was inexcusable after our room was left unlocked for six hours. Bottom line is that the noise level is not the issue, it's the customer service that is beyond lack luster. From an amenities standpoint, the shower does not register the appropriate temperature and if one were to be careless, they could burn themselves (photo attached).

Yelp
If you are in search of the worst hotel in the Miami Beach, I'd like to suggest The Stiles Hotel as it is an extremely competitive candidate in all aspects. Gifted with a great location, this hotel has literally done nothing right. The building was poorly maintained and the staff was hostile. Unfortunately, I spent one night at The Stiles Hotel in April 2022. The nightmare started from the very moment of checking in. Booked the hotel via Priceline.com, there was some miscommunication between the website and the hotel. The girl at the front desk claimed that there was $26 deficiency in the amount they received and she insisted me to pay the gap, which was obviously ridiculous. After wasting more than an hour, the issue was finally resolved between them and I was give a room with a broken shower with only hot water. With all the hassle at checking in, it was almost midnight when I noticed the shower issue. I went to the front desk right away to report it hoping that it could be resolved timely so that a shower before bed was still possible. On the shift was a night auditor whose name is Chase. It seems that he was not amused by the issue I was facing. At first, he simply tried to get rid of me by stating that it could only be resolved the next morning when the maintenance team came back to work. I immediately rejected it since it is nonsense that a customer at a hotel has no access to shower. He then awkwardly claimed that all the private rooms were booked for the night and I would have been unwilling to take a shower in a shared room that he was staying had he offered me this option. It was true that I'd be unhappy to shower in a shared room given that I paid for a private room. However, comparing to the situation of no shower, I'd rather take one anywhere. What's bizarre was that after I informed him my willingness he found a spare private room which was not open to public due to some issue. However, he insisted me to switch to that room and claimed that it would be easier for me and the hotel, which was both ridiculous and offensive. I've unpacked my stuff in the old room. How was it easier for me to move to another room. Besides, it was known that the new room had an issue for which I wasn't given any detail. Why would I knowingly take a problematic room with unknown issue to me? I insisted to just take a shower in that room. Out of nowhere, Chase told me that in that case I only had 10 minutes in the new room. Being puzzled, exhausted and disappointed, I didn't want to waste another second with him. I took the shower, went back to my room, checked out the first thing next morning and swore to never come back. On the bright side, staying at The Stiles Hotel truly makes staying at other hotels enjoyable. Other than shower temperature not adjustable, the shower faucet was broken, the drain stopper was missing, and the walls in the room was full of visible patches. If I were told that there was a gun fight in the room, I'd believe it. In addition, they charge $51 for overnight parking. As a reference, the top hotel in the Miami Beach "1 Hotel South Beach" charges $50 for valet parking. I am just puzzled that with such bad infrastructure, poor service and hostile staff where the owner gets the nerve to charge such high premium.

Yelp
This place is fucking dirty. Drinks are absolute garbage from the hotel. The pool is an absolute joke it is three individual 4 foot pools with semen water. Never go to the Sunday fun day. It's a waste, we paid for tickets thinking it was going to be a good time and no one even checked to see if we had one there wasn't enough people there for them to care.

Yelp
Check-out time is listed incorrectly in 3 different places. When we pointed it out, they were very blase. Very poor communication. The fire alarm went off intermittently for about an hour one morning and no one warned us to get out or said anything when we were in the lobby wondering what was going on. The cleanliness was just subpar. The pool was absolutely gross looking. I know Collins has the rep for a lot of overpriced, poor quality things but wow. Not worth the money we spent on any level. Location-wise it was very convenient.

Yelp
I am actually very happy that I booked this hotel because I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews. We found check-in to be simple, and the front desk attendants were super nice. The lobby and our room was tidy and clean. The room itself included a rainfall shower, clean white sheets, wood floors and a Keurig. We also had a pretty large terrace. Although it wasn't very furnished or fancy, we enjoyed hanging out on it that night. Even more, the hotel provided us with a bottle of wine! You should note that they will charge a $25 resort fee per day (+ tax) and they will put a $100 hold on your card for incidentals. My only complaint would be breakfast at The Essex. It wasn't very good or impressive. We just ate elsewhere.

Yelp
Please do not waste your money staying at this hotel. We would have left, but it was Memorial Day Weekend and The Out Games. Near by hotels in the area were booked. Whats marketed on The Stiles website is false advertisement. There was no breakfast, or bar area. We saw drug deals out front of the hotel. No towels. Our room was dirty. The room above us being so loud until 3am. We complained to hotel management but nothing was done.

Yelp
I am giving one star just for the location, but if you are planning to stay here be aware of different things. First of all the hotel was recently bought and they are remodeling it, nobody told us this was happening so you had people at the lobby putting furniture together. Elevator pretty dirty. Then let's talk about our room. TV doesn't work, it is just plugged in but no channels. The room looked so horrible because they are covering holes on the wall and putting a spot of white paint (see pics). No outlets by the night stands which btw are not the ones on the pics they promote. Then the "closet" they use it doesn't close (see pics). In the bathroom one light was burnt. Seems they got a furniture to put a mini fridge well no mini fridge so take with you cold water. About customer service, so bad! There was this girl that was on her phone while we were asking some questions and she totally ignored us, and asked us to repeat everything again and her answer was I don't know. They are clueless about the own hotel. No maintenance on the pools, you will see leaves floating around. Oh and there is a bar down there so if you want to sleep be prepared to not relax while you are there because the noise of people is so loud!. And the cherry on top is that they charge you a hotel service fee $140 for no reason or at least no one could explain why.

Yelp
Daniel was awesome. He kept my bags while I walked around South Beach and waited with me while my Uber arrived. He helped me track the Uber down and helped me with my bags. He was very friendly and super patient when I was trying to get to the airport. Thanks, Daniel!! The hotel is a great fit if you want an excellent location (one block behind the Versace Mansion and off the main strip), clean room, minimalist/ cozy-modern lobby, and affordable price.

Yelp
Really pretty Art Deco hotel with nice amenities. The staff was incredibly nice and the manager Marcello was so helpful. The room was very clean and pretty modern. Close to lots of restaurants and things to do. You can do valet parking or self serve close by.

Yelp
My stay at The Stiles Hotel was great. We noticed how clean the hotel was as soon as we walked in. Not to mention we were greeted by front desk with a smile. Check-in was a breeze! For those of you who don't know, they do charge a fee when you check-in WHICH, of course, is just how it is in South Beach, pretty much all the hotels do it so I expected it. We got to our room and it was nice and clean. We stayed a total of three days. The front desk lady, Michelle, had to be our FAVORITE! Every morning she always greeted us with a smile and good conversation. The bartender at their little restaurant was so sweet and took really good care of us. The only slight complaint and the reason why it didn't get 5 Stars from me is because the cleaning lady just wasn't very nice. She was rude to my best friend and to my husband, however, she was nice to me when bringing extra towels. Ultimately, I'd stay at The Stiles Hotel again - not to mention, you get free Continental breakfast at their sister hotel Essex House and FREE Entrance to their other sister hotel The Clevelander - which we LOVE!

Yelp
I decided to stay here over the Ocean Reef hotel which was actually cheaper because the website made it seem like it had so much to offer. I booked 4/12/21-4/18/21 . Rosemary claim that they clean the room every 2 days. That's false I've been here 5 days now no cleaning. The room was dirty to start with. I did not complain I'm on vacation so I let it slide. The phone in the room does not work, the water pressure and temperature is horrendous, the floors were dirty and the room does not look or smell clean. No ice buckets in the room I had to go to the front she put some in a plastic bag .... I have been constantly telling the front desk, Rosemary and other Workers that my room has not been stocked or cleaned she constantly telling me if I leave and come back it will be cleaned. When I leave and come back the room is still dirty then she acts as though she never told me it would be cleaned! I would not recommend this place to any body save your coins and go somewhere else. The staff are not helpful, the cleaning crew have attitudes. The windows closed are paper thin you hear everything. All they can offer is beach towels everything else you are own your own. The elevators are dirty and it's not a clean smell when you enter. This was definitely a CATFISH from what the pictures and online show you. And to believe I canceled my reservation to actually pay more to stay here! I called management and I am still waiting on a return call!

Yelp
Michelle and Bruno made the stay the best. Third time there and it was "the charm". We stayed in penthouse 404... incredible! Two terraces and four French doors! You get to experience the wonderful Miami weather!

Yelp
I'm giving this place a 5 stars because the service was absolutely incredible. We stayed in January 2019 and had an amazing stay for all 4 nights, the location is unbeatable and If you're looking for a clean place that won't break your bank, this is it. The breakfast in the morning was great! Thank you!!

Yelp
The check-in was very interesting. The host for the front desk had to be called to come check us in. He was on the front balcony with other guest hanging out. He than went o to say our room was not guaranteed, although we called 7 hours earlier to say we would be in after midnight. He proceeded to take us to a room outside of the hotel and said he hoped we liked it. The room is very loud and there is a lack of privacy. I hope the security is on their job.

the from desk rosemarie was extremely accommodating! The rooms are spacious and very clean! love the location! love the atmosphere it's quiet families can stay as well as party goers! Thanks rosemarie

Yelp
This is a decent hotel, conveniently close to South Beach (probably a 3 minute walk!). The most impressive aspect of this hotel is it's staff - each staff member was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful (even the overnight crew!). Our room was small and did not have a refrigerator - something that was quite inconvenient as we could not take home any leftovers when we ate at restaurants. It was also quite inconvent to have to keep our drinks cooled in a single ice bucket (a tricky move with four people who drink different liquor). Another inconvenience was that the room was only supplied with two towels - you have to purchase additional towels if you have more than 2 people staying in your room. Our room also wasn't the cleanest either - nothing surprising considering it is so close to the beach, so I'm sure many college students and irresponsible vacationers stay here. Nonetheless, the carpet was stain-ridden, the comforter was clearly discolored beneath the duvet-cover, the sheets had holes, and the open storage area beneath the white nightstand between our beds was FILTHY - it was stained with yellow/brown sticky liquid (looked like old soda), dust, and hair. On a positive note, they offer extra colored towels in the lobby to take to the beach - a nice feature as I did not want to carry a beach towel in my luggage! And again, the staff was truly incredible. Overall, I guess I can't say I expected much more from an inexpensive, nearly-beach-front hotel in Miami. Definitely not someplace for someone with OCD, though!

Moti L.

Yelp
One of the worst stays I've had in a long time. Please avoid at all costs. Not a good area to be in, extremely overpriced, sub-par hotel. 1. The room was on top of some sort of power generator or air conditioning, the floor was shaking the entire stay. The shades & blinds were broken, light seeped in, not too much privacy. The shower does not have a door, expect water to flood the entire bathroom. The windows are not sound proof, you will hear everything going on in the streets until 2-3 AM, every night. 2. The phone in the room does not work, you will have to walk to the lobby to speak to someone, (if someone is even there). 3. The phone in the lobby does not work, you will not have the ability to reach anyone at the front desk, regardless of the time of day or number of times you call. 4. The hotel in general is a dump. There are people smoking on the stairs, trash is all over the corridors, and noise complaints go ignored. There was a vibe that people were selling/dealing drugs on the staircases, be aware of that. 5. There is no parking offered by the hotel, due to CDC guidelines. Expect to pay $75-$100 parking per night across the street. 6. You can not leave your luggage in the hotel if you need to checkout and pick up later. In regards to all of these points, yes the staff was aware and no, no action was taken to fix any one of those points. I was asked to leave a review to extended my stay, free of charge for 30 minutes. Unbelievable. I let the manager know my honest opinion of the hotel, he didn't seem to give a flying duck. Thanks! Warning to all visitors in general looking for a hotel in South Beach. Don't. Go up North, you can find the same or lower priced hotel, with a lot more safety and lot better staff. P.S. None of the photos are accurate, buyer beware. The rooms don't come close.

Yelp
This was hotel was definitely A-Ok. Pros: 1. Semi-Clean upon arrival (depending on how OCD you are this might be a con LOL) 2. Centrally located in South Beach (Huge plus on location) 3. Friendly staff 4. Not crowded Cons: 1. Valet Parking 35$ a night, WARNING: VALET STAFF WILL STEAL SNACKS FROM YOUR VEHICLE 2. Took forever to get our car, they park the cars in a location that seems to not be close by 3. Air is not cold - the room was hot even at night 4. Water in the shower does not get hot - at all 5. No décor 6. TV didn't work. A technician came out to fix it but it stopped working again so we gave up. Overall the only reason for the 3-stars in the location. Everywhere else around this immediate area was a lot more expensive and over priced. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for.

Yelp
I was at this hotel in December for Art Basel. I booked for a City View room. They gave me a room facing a wall. There was not light in the room. Then they tried to charge 25 dollars a day for various bogus fees. The piece of paper they put in from to me had a blank space for this amount and thus it means they can change the price as they wish. This price was not documented when I booked the room. It was to cover, a towel for the beach, coffee in the morning etc I had the booking company remove the daily fee. They also promised to give me the room I booked but they never did. We asked them for a compensation of some kind for not giving the room we paid for but they refused. The bathroom was disgusting. There was a loose nail in the room and if I stepped on it I probably would have gotten tetanus. Save your time and money and find a better facility.

Yelp
There are only five reviews for this hotel, but they were all so strong that this is the first time I feel the Yelp community disappointed me. :/ This isn't a bad hotel, but there are just so many flaws that I can't justify giving this place even three stars. Valet parking: 32 dollars plus tax per night. You can call for the car from your room and they'll have it in front for you. But the estimates they give are WILDLY off. One time in particular, they said 20 minutes, but it was more than an hour. I eventually called again, and they said "yes, the car is downstairs, just got here." But previously they called the room to let me know my car had arrived. The inconsistency was frustrating. Pools: 2 very small pools, and a similarly-sized jacuzzi in the middle. The jacuzzi doesn't have very many streams to relax. One the first day, one of the pools was dirty. Gold bar: closed during the week it seemed. Housekeeping/front desk: forgot my two bottles of water. Called the front desk, and they said they'd have the water up to my room. Almost two hours later, nothing. So on my way out, I tell them again, and they say housekeeping will send up water. After coming back later that night... still no water in my room. Call them again, and they said "no one was in the room", so had to come back down to the front desk, where they had the bottles in a cabinet. So frustrating for such a minor thing (and yes, when the water is part of the 15-dollar a day resort fee, of course I'm going to use it!) Beach towels: very small and not clean. Room: the air conditioning never really worked well. Not that it didn't work at all, but I would set the thermostat at 65 and it never got cold in the room. I could also see the water condensation from the AC vent. Also, the AC was very loud. Shower: the hot water was very inconsistent. Sometimes I had a good amount of hot water, and sometimes the water never got hotter than lukewarm. Again, this place wasn't terrible - the room was clean (a bit small but i was solo traveling so it was fine for me), bed was comfortable, staff were all very friendly. Also, I got a decent rate for this place (about 90 bucks a night, which is great considering the location), and the lobby was well-decorated and had ice water available. But this is definitely a case of "meh, I've experienced better"

Yelp
The stiles hotel was not what we expected. My wife and I actually had a robust discussion, if this was a 2 or 3 star hotel. We had so many things wrong in a short period of time. We traveled for a birthday party and the other couple had a valid reservation but no room. We actually had a really bad leak in the bathroom our first night there. We used all the towels and 2 trash cans. We could never figure out if the phone with 2 handsets actually worked. But they did knock all service charges off the bill. This was a great price. Bad experience.

Yelp
This place is so nice. When you walk in, the smell in the lobby is so relaxing. Theres a pool and we were in the pool all day. The beds are super comfortable. Great place.

Yelp
The service was very nice. Our room had an infestation of worms in the shower and they kindly moved us across the street to a sister hotel free of charge. Rooms were a bit outdated, but if you're looking for a decent hotel to stay and don't want to pay an arm and a leg in Miami, this place is the spot!

Alan A.

Yelp
This hotel is unbelievable, the energy is great. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. I even know all of them by name now. William, Orlando, ski, and Marcela did so much to make me feel welcome. The room is clean, the people are extremely nice, the drinks are great. I come to Miami all the time and I will be back here for many years to come.

Yelp
Don't stay at this hotel. As you might read in several of these comments/ reviews, they "lost" our reservation and directed us to call Expedia instead. I had arrived at 2p and the lady in the front desk stated our room wasn't ready yet. When we returned back at 4p, a different representative advised us their system didn't have our reservation and they would call their partner hotels. Unfortunately all hotels were booked and they recommended we call Expedia. After 1 hour of waiting on hold, they couldn't find us a room. We are from California so there is no return.

Yelp
this place feels like what south beach used to be, elegant and sexy. great service, we stayed here and had a drink amd at least four people checked in on us! would stay here over ocean all day long! highly recommend rrricardo is the best!

Yelp
The hotel is in good location however needs updating. Definitely do not think it is a 4 star hotel. The tWo(2) main reasons for 2 stars is the hotel bathroom and bed bugs. Our room was on 3rd floor. The bathroom had visible mold on ceiling and the shower was dirty. Also, the queen bed had bed bugs. I do not accuse any hotel of bed bugs since it's a big deal but I got bitten like 9 times for one night stay. I urge management to please take a look into the issue. The staff was good and polite. Also, the location is great. The breakfast was average but not bad. Hope the management looks into the issue.

Yelp
I'm very happy that i chose this hotel. It's great location, u can find everything in this area: store, restaurants, parking for 1$ per hour. Ocean one block away. Staff very friendly. I'll be back:)

Yelp
The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. I did not know what to expect as I have never stayed in Miami before. This hotel is located next to shops, restaurants, night clubs and bars. I will definitely stay here again. Our room was the poolside cabana room which I loved! I wish we were staying longer so we could enjoy it more!

Yelp
Could not travel due to the travel ban, business found a great excuse to keep the money of everyone restricted due to discrimination. The management showed no apology or empathy for the situation and said "dont have it in our policy" I felt upset because it was an important trip and they did not honor anything. This is absolutely disgusting to me and i wouldnt want to deal with such ignorant people ever again. Save yourself. for one reason or another, you and your families could be on the ban next, this hotel obviously doesnt care what you are put through and you will be COMPLETELY ignored and your money will be stolen by people like these.

Yelp
Booked trough booking.com back in November for 2 nights. Came to check-in in was told that booking was cancelled due to no-show... they said it was booked for night before... called the booking.com and they confirmed that it was booked fir the night before... ok it may be some mistake, but why did you people cancel reservation for the second night...????? Still fighting with bank for charges... Nautilus down the road was a perfect pick, actually Avoid this place, they may cancel your reservation By the way, just went to miami beach past weekend, and checked this place again... dirty as a barn... you guys must keep your eyes on the service first.

Yelp
We stayed here for the weekend and we can not complain. It is next to the beach and in the middle of the scene. The room was small but clean and the bathroom was clean and spacious with a glass walkin shower. We were comfortable. Besides, we weren't in Miami to spend all our time inside the hotel. The only thing that was a slight disappointment was the small pool area. It's so tiny and cozy not a party scene. Another plus is the outdoor lounge area with tables and Booths along Collins. A great place to relax and people watch at 4am.

Yelp
Wow what a bad place. Start off with being over powered by air freshener smell to mask any dirt when you enter. Next is a stained couch in the lobby... then you get to the room. A very small room with only 1 nightstand and the worse toilet paper ever. The door has minimal seal around it so you have the hallway light coming in and you can hear anything that happens within 40 feet of either direction. They way overcharged to stay in the place....

Yelp
I stayed at the Stiles hotel from December 6th to December 9th and booked a King room, quiet, with a pool view and balcony. I emailed the hotel right after I booked which was a few days before to let them know that I would be arriving early and asked if early checkin was possible. They responded they could not guarantee anything and that there was a shower out by the pool that I could shower in. When I arrived at the hotel at 9am on December 6th, I was told early check in was not possible, I tried to explain what I was told about the shower by the pool and was abruptly cut off by the female concierge. The luggage attendant then explained to me that the pool shower was not a real shower but just to rinse off from the pool. My first thought was that the hotel response to me via email misrepresented the pool shower facilities, however, I was still optimistic at this point. When I finally checked in at about 3pm, I was told that my room was not available which is what the female concierge stated verbatim. She then said that I was being placed in a penthouse due to the long wait. I went up to the room and after inspecting it saw that the view was facing a very industrial looking building rooftop. Then I looked at the bathroom and saw that it was built for wheelchair access. There was no barrier from the floor to the shower floor. After looking in the closet, and seeing that the hanger bar was set very low so a person in a wheel chair could reach, I was very dissapointed. I told another luggage attendant that I did not want that room and he took me to another room. I then went downstairs to ask for my refund as I had booked a regular (not accessible) king pool view room with a balcony and I was now in a room with no balcony. it was only logical that I receive a refund for the difference. Marco the manager was very difficult, making me explain over and over again why I wanted the refund since I was not staying in the room type I booked. He was very dismissive, so I am not surprised that the female concierge behaved the same way. Leading by example I guess. I did not feel that Marco or the female concierge respected me or appreciated my business and it showed in how both of them treated me. Other staff like the cleaning crew, Beauce, the tall slim luggage check, and other luggage check guy were great and the one star is for them. Some other items of note:- -Your drink ticket is only for bar downstairs which is open at 9pm -Shower handle was broken -TV didn't work (I have seen this in a review from 2015 which means that the issue has not been resolved since then or before. You mean to tell me they couldn't buy a new TV since then?) -Thin walls It also appeared that the good staff members were overworked and a lot of the blame for the rooms not being ready were placed on the cleaning crew. The staff members that wanted to create a good impression had to overcompensate for the rude and dismissive staff. I have also seen the standard replies from the company rep, and you will have to do more than that to fix these persistent and pervasive issues.

Yelp
It's a simple, clean hotel that offers basic stuff you need. I was going to give 5 star since John and lady at the front desk (forgot her name, sorry!) was amazing. They were welcoming and friendly. HOWEVER, 2 of my other friends and I stayed there for 4 night and 5 days. On our last night, we noticed our shampoo & rinse set was not replaced with new one. There were 3 girls, almost ran out of them. It happens and understood cleaning lady might have missed it so I went down to get more. I asked the guy at the front desk if I could get more of shampoo & rinse set and told cleaning lady must have missed it, and it's ok. The guy laughed a little bit and told me that must not be true since they always replace them. And told me "you guys must be taking shower too many times" and blamed us for taking too much shower? There were three of us and we've used the same shampoo & rinse that was provided for 2-3 days... After him bragging about how their shampoo & rinse were expensive etc another guy working with him gave it to me. I also asked him if we could get some folks for the room. And he said he doesn't have one and ask at the bar (that's in the hotel lobby). It was 11pm and clear that the bar was closed. It was clear he didn't want to help me. We liked many things about this hotel, the location, cleanliness, simple details but was really disappointed with the service from that guy at the front desk that ruin our impression about this hotel.

Yelp
This was an awesome experience I d k why they have so many bad reviews I had such a good time this is one of the better hotels in Miami the receptionist a Haitian guy his name is something like Bosaè was so cool so nice so charming and just all around had perfect customer service everyone in the hotel even the maids were so nice and helpful I needed this hotel bad after the racist experience we had at the previous shit hole Albion and the same credit cards we used to book the prior hotel who canceled our stay guess what .. surprise ! Worked at this one because nothing was wrong with them from the jump but that's a convo for later anyway GREAT STAY !!! Great time !! Our room was so nice!! Everything was walking distance and parking was cheap ! $20 for over night parking

Yelp
Could not get in my room until almost 6pm. They could not give me any room keys so I had to wait to go in my room every time I went out. The staff could not care less. I spent more time about worried about my belongings in the room and could not relax. This was a waste of time and a lot of money. Do yourselves a favor stay away from this hotel.

Yelp
I checked in yesterday and so far pretty good. My room is huge and adorable. Only thing is they need more sockets available with the electronics today one is not enough. Also there's no drawers to unpack your stuff. Fortunately I'm alone and have a second bed so it's acting as my dresser and again it's only me so I don't need to share the one socket. Last thing which is why I took away the star is the shower area is pretty gross. The pictures in the other reviews were spot on. Lucky for my I brought slippers which I'm using as shower shoes. The staff so far are helpful. They are the best part of this hotel.

Yelp
As previous guests noted, this hotel was a major disappointment. We paid for two double bds with a city view. We got one double and a sofa bed with a saggy mattress that was probably four inches thick, and no city view. Whatever was going on one flight up sounded like foot races and pounding, kids in t middle of the night? Whatever, not conducive to a good nights sleep. We were promised a $100 refund, which consisted of our resort fee being returned and assurances our booking agent would refund the remainder. Which didn't happen of course.

Yelp
It's a boutique hotel. For sure not a place you want to stay longer than a weekend. I was there with a friend for five days. We didn't have enough space. Because we were there so long, I'm just gonna list this out. I'm also in the bathroom and my review time is up. 1st room was facing a ratty parking lot or side street, I'm not sure. While the guy at the front desk was accommodating and polite, when asked about booking the city view, he told us that it was all city view, technically. So we got what we got. The window was also broken in that room as well as there was hair in the shower which was why we were able to move to another room. To be clear, if we wanted to move to a room with a city view, we had it. *Eye roll* 2nd room was in the front of the hotel. There wereostly trees but we could also see the pool (someone was "doin it" in there at one point). - super small or boutique - toilet seat kept tipping over. Por ejemplo, if you leave the seat open (cover up/seat down) and u sneeze, (toss something in the garbage next to it, slight change in temperature, etc) the seat would slam down with reckless abandon. The sound was so loud, I wince at the simple thought. -the armoir (no clue how to spell that) was also leaning - shower was covered in mildew and the sheets were stained. The hotel itself has a small but dark area near the elevator, it's under the stairs. I presume that is where the concierge works but he was never there and it wasn't until the last day that we saw a card station with little things to do during the trip. On the other side there was a dark bar. I think that's the one they said had free happy hour for guests. Maybe it's a different hotel. Either way, where's the booze?! Jk, plenty of that on the next block. If you stay any longer than a weekend, you've over stayed your welcome. If the sheets and bathroom were clean, you'd get a solid three.

Yelp
Very cute and comfortable room. The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. It's close to all the best restaurants and clubs. I wanna thank Michelle at the front desk for her pleasant and kind attitude, made me feel at home.

Yelp
This hotel is a disgrace at best. Between myself and my sisters we booked three rooms at this hotel and of the three rooms that we booked, not a SINGLE room had functioning a/c. Keep in mind that the temperature outside was boiling, 90 degrees at the minimum and to come back to a room that is just as hot as the outside was unacceptable. Previous comments and reviews about the overall cleanliness of the hotel are rang true. In short, it's filthy. I've stayed in hostels that are cleaner than this place which means my sisters and I paid a premium for a hotel that is no better than a hostel in Europe that would have costed us $30 a night as opposed to $200. Well done Stiles Hotel... you are officially the biggest scam in town.

Yelp
I went to this hotel during art basel 2018. the location is the best because you do everything by foot: beach, stores, fair... BUT the staff has actually lost a few of my items such as birth control pills, tooth brush, night cream, sleeping pills, eyes contact box... I had to buy myself a new toothbrush and I could not take my birth control for 3 days. That was really really annoying. I have asked a few times the staff if they found something, they said they did not find anything. I'm back to LA now, I emptied my bag and nothing was there... I mean they lost all my needed stuff for sure and they pretended they did not... they could have at least paid me a tooth brush!

Yelp
If I had only knew then what I know now I wouldn't have reserved a room here! Why you ask? Let me explain: 1) major renovations are needed! The elevator works most of the time but you might as well take the stairs! 2) there's a stench that lingers in the hallway & your room. So if you don't mind the "stench" you'll be fine. Otherwise be sure to bring some febreeze because you will definitely need it. 3) the bathroom is horrible! There's mildew or mold on the walls & floor of the shower. We went & bought flip flops just to shower in. 4) the lights in the room need to be changed. They were blown out so the lighting in the room was bad. 5) we had a balcony...Yay! But it was covered with bird poop...not so yay! It was gross! My mom said if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. So here's my something nice. The staff was nice. It's close to the beach.

Yelp
I have to admit I was extremely disappointed by my stay. Your valet service doesn't speak English, Miami is an international city, English is required. My bathroom was horrendous. Mildew on the walls in the shower, my shower handle fell off when I turned it to adjust the temperature, the grout was falling out of the walls and the tiles were broken. The floors in the room were dirty and my feet felt sandy from walking around. The hotel hallways were dirty, stained carpets, garbage on the floor, no air conditioning in the hallways and someone on my floor was smoking weed and the whole hallways smelled like it. You charge a resort fee, but there is nothing about your hotel that resembles a resort. You have a bar area downstairs that is never open and the coffee service in the morning is terrible, tastes old and watered down. The pools outside had garbage floating in them. I will never visit this hotel again and would never recommend it.

Been at this hotel since Thursday, Saturday nights we decided to go out at 11:40 ok for a walk we returned around 12:10pm there was an incident that happened on the strip so we stopped to ask the security guy (black male with dreads what happened making conversation ) instead of having a conversation he asked did we have a room at this hotel we answered yes he then proceeded to say I need to see the key showed him the key he flipped the key over said Jsk what the fuck is this this don't go to this hotel my girlfriend grab the key then I proceeded to the front desk asked for a manager middle age white guy said no manager here I said I need to file an official complaint for the security and how I was just treated while trying to explain to the guy the security guy walked up cut me off I advised him that I was talking he needed to wait it's rude he stated I'm security I looked at him and said and I asked for the security guys name he just looked at me and would not answer I told the white guy he seemed as if he doesn't care and we began to walk off the white guy turns to security and says now what happen as if I was lying. I've stayed at better, more expensive hotels such as The W and never have I been treated this way. Manger never called me back no follow up or anything Sorry Ass place to stay still considering contacting a lawyer to see what can be done

Yelp
This Art Deco gem is a real find in south beach. The hotel is a a bit small but well situated halfway between Lincoln Road and the wild south end .The staff is very attentive and the rooms are small but very clean and well maintained. The magnificent beach is a block away as is the Versace mansion(now a beautiful 5 star Italian restaurant). There is plenty to do within a few blocks in all directions. Can't wait to return next year.
