The Stop

Everything was perfect. The Stop is well worth the money. The hosts are incredibly helpful and full recommendations on where to go in Galway. Our room was comfortable, clean, and we loved the art on the walls. We loved the ambience - it was tranquil and it was nice to come back to after the hustle and bustle of the city. The warm lighting, the art, and the music really leant into an atmosphere of calmand quiet. Breakfast was delicious and as an avid Calendar Coffee fan I was delighted it was served.

I had the most lovely stay at the stop. It was gorgeously decorated, cosy, comfy & clean. Brilliant location in close proximity to great restaurants and the city centre. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. From Dorka at check-in, Alannah at breakfast and the lovely chef whose name I didn't get, every member of staff I encountered were so kind! My room was lovely, bed was very comfy and the different pillow options were a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with a really nice variety of options and the tunes were great! The only small downside was the floors were a bit creaky when people were walking around above me and my room was a little noisy especially being at the front of the house but thats to be expected in a city centre accomodation. I popped my earplugs in and was good to go, so if you're a light sleeper pack some with you. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Galway.

We had a wonderful week in Ireland, the highlight of our two day stay in Galway was the Stop! Russell and his team were so accommodating and generous. Breakfast every morning was well thought out and delicious. They provided recommendations for things to do and places to eat. It is about a ten minute walk from the busy part of town, so quiet in the evenings. We could not recommend it more!

The Stop was an incredible accommodation. We loved the art, atmosphere and styling of everything. It’s only a short walk into town and the parking here was free. The room had comfortable beds and a good amount of space. Breakfast was the best we had our whole trip and the hospitality was outstanding. They even gave us some must see local locations which we were so happy we went and saw! There are so many nice places to eat around the accommodation in west end. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in Galway.

The Stop was perfect for our one night stay in Galway. Our room was tiny - smallest bathroom ever - BUT the place is so stylish and beautifully curated with local artists' work. Also, every detail is carefully considered so that you have everything you need. The host Russell and his staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The parking out back is a huge bonus, and it is a super easy walk into the Latin Quarter. Don't miss the walk out to the memorial to children who died of famine.

We absolutely loved this B&B! It’s about a 10 minute walk out of town and is both convenient and beautiful. The space is incredibly well designed with everything you’d need. Our room was immaculate and the bed struck the perfect balance between firm and soft. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were friendly and helpful in suggesting things to do around town or on other adventures. We can’t wait to come back!

The Stop is an excellent Bed and Breakfast in Galway run by Russell. What a lovely environment to walk into after a long drive and horrendous weather. The decor is lovely and there is a wonderful selection of art work on the walls. Our room was cosy and warm and again decorated with care and attention. The bed was so comfortable, I’m assuming it was a memory foam mattress as it was firm without being too firm. We had a great nights sleep non the less. Breakfast was outstanding. A great selection of hot and cold options. From homemade granola to pancakes with bacon. A real treat. I also really enjoyed the record player and music at breakfast. A very nice touch. Russell, who was very kind and personable also offered us some points of interest to take in on our journey north. If you’re ever in Galway and need a place to stay, The Stop is surely your best option. We hope to one day return and spend a little more time in the area.
