A charming little café with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. While we were enjoying our food, we did overhear a bit of a loud conversation between staff in what sounded like Russian, which slightly disrupted the otherwise peaceful vibe. We had to wait a bit longer for our coffee, but given how busy the place was, it was understandable. And the coffee was absolutely worth the wait—rich, smooth, and expertly prepared. And the carrot cake was over sweetened.

After 8 years of living in Versailles, I finally found the place with the best iced latte. The atmosphere is amazing - cozy and beautifully decorated. The rich menu is sure to satisfy the tastes of all coffee lovers. The staff is friendly and does their best to make your experience at this café exceptional. I sincerely recommend this place!

I came back here after five years. I said I would and it's worth coming back. Coffee is so good. Avocado and salmon toast was amazing. Orange cake was very moist and flavorful

Google
Really great place with great speciality coffee from different remarkable sources and a great customer service, the lady at the counter was really friendly and warm with us. It is also nice to know that the owner is from also from Australia (Melbourne) and I guess the name Stray for the place comes from Straya hehe…

If you’re looking to get a coffee in Versailles, definitely come here! Very cozy with a nice selection of pastries & hot/cold drinks. I enjoyed my matcha latte a LOT!

This small beautiful coffee shop is more than just coffee! The cakes come from a beautiful bakery in Paris, and the coffee is sublime. He’s very very good about making sure the quality of his food and his drinks are perfect. If you come to Versailles, please try the stray bean you will not go back to Starbucks I promise you.

Enjoyed a delightful V60 with Colombian Beans at The Stray Bean coffee shop - the coffee truly stood out for its quality and flavor. The avocado toast was average, but still satisfactory. The staff seemed a bit distant, though the overall ambiance made up for it. A solid four-star experience!

Yelp
This is a short walk from the Versailles Chateau RER station, so we had a late lunch before heading back into Paris. It was a rainy day, and we were struggling with our umbrellas (mine flipped outwards with the strong winds), and one of the baristas opened the door for us and let us get ourselves together. We were offered menus, which were in English and French, and ordered at the counter when ready. I've been coming down with a cold, so I ordered Golden milk and avocado toast. The meal was very healthy, it came with quinoa salad and carrot slaw. Light, but a good little bit of protein for the vegetarian option. The Golden milk was very nice, the turmeric and ginger balanced out nicely, so it wasn't overwhelming. It helped me feel a little better and is a great way to warm up. They have a combo meal deal- drink, lunch plate, and dessert, but Golden milk isn't included with this option. My friend split her pistachio cake with me and it was delicious! I love pistachio anything- so it was a nice treat. It's a small and cozy little cafe and a nice place to take a break after touring the Palace.

Yelp
Nice little cafe. Avocado toast is different and has pomegranate seeds and nuts to give both sweet and crunchy. The coffees being served are quite nice and I'd recommend taking home a bag since it's about ten euros for 250gm for their espresso blend. It's a little expensive for a cafe latte or flat white with milk. The microfoam could be better.

Yelp
The ladies who run this place are simply adorable. We were not in a rush as our reservation to enter Versailles was about an hour wait, so we ordered and sat down. My daughter and I got the menu, which included juice, a hot drink of our choice, mueslix, and avocado toast. The mueslix was to die for. I wish I could have it every morning. The ladies were so kind, even though they were swamped with orders the entire time we were there. Even though it was busy, it didn't feel busy. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal. If you get a chance before you visit Versailles, I highly recommend stopping by the Stray Bean.

Yelp
We visited the Stray Bean before our long day at Versailles and the staff was friendly and attentive. They had seats inside and a few tables outside. The coffee was rich and delicious, they use a great blend and I highly recommend getting your coffee here!

Yelp
It was extremely busy the day we went. Very small space and not a lot of areas to sit. Food menu is extremely limited. But it is tasty and the coffee was good. Nice place to grab a bite to eat and coffee before Versailles palace.

Yelp
Finding The Stray Bean just down the street from the Palace of Versailles was like stumbling upon an oasis in the desert! Okay, maybe not that dramatic, but after a 50-minute ride on the RER C from Champ de Mars station (near the Eiffel Tower) to Gare de Versailles, my husband and I wanted to fuel up for more "turbo sightseeing" at Chateau Versailles with something delicious and, of course, some coffee! As we walked down the street from the train station towards what looked like a street full of restaurants/cafes/shops, we passed many unappealing food places, and luckily saw The Stray Bean from across the street. It's the perfect place to stop in to "warm up" for your adventures in Versailles! We absolutely enjoyed a pair of cafe lattes with oat milk (yes they have it!), and shared an Avocado Tartine (Toast) and a bowl of wonderfully delicious and comforting Butternut Squash Soup! On this particularly chilly late morning, it was all exactly what we needed to warm up and fuel up for our early afternoon jaunt at The Palace! Great food, great coffee, friendly service, and even WiFi! Merci beaucoup Le Stray Bean!

Yelp
What a nice surprise! Very small lunch menu of avocado toast or ham and cheese but both were so delicious with quality ingredients and a great two sides. Prices very fair and food surprisingly delicious and interesting for a small coffee shop!

Yelp
We went here for a quick coffee and breakfast before visiting the Palace of Versailles. We arrived around 8:45 on a Saturday morning and were the only ones there. More people starting to enter about half an hour later. We each got a coffee (Americano and espresso) and they're about 2.50-4 euros apiece. For breakfast, we each got the avocado, which is 3 slices of avocado toast, a small lightly-dressed salad, and quinoa with chickpeas. The plate is enough to satisfy anyone and was a deliciously light way to start a full day of sightseeing. For about 7 euros, the price was just right, considering the proximity to a major tourist attraction. Plus, water was free and came from a self-service station to the side of the ordering counter. The owner is a laid-back guy from Australia who was very upbeat and sociable. He was extremely friendly from the beginning and very attentive. Overall, a highly recommended place to start the day in Versailles.

Yelp
This must be one of the best places I have ever tried. I got the big breakfast and I was so happy with the service, food quality and the best coffee. If you are going to Versalles this is a must!

Yelp
This place is surprisingly good. The espresso shots were right on point and the milk have no bubbles. Just smooth sweet right texture as how frosted milk should be. We are genuinely surprised about the amazing quality of this little shop

Yelp
The Stray Bean was a cute little coffee shop just down the street of the Palace of Versailles. Considering there was only one person at the time, service was really good & friendly. Their americanos were on point as well as the matcha lattes. The banana breads and other pastries were really delicious too, we had to get seconds! Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I found the only place open at that one street near château de Versailles , they have good fresh juice and not much selection for breakfast or pastry. The place is really cute and the workers are very friendly, they speak French and English so it was easy to order. I didn't order coffee but the beet juice were good. The muffins were good too, the price were not cheap but not expensive. It's just a nice little cafe with free WiFi

Yelp
Lived up to the high expectations! This little gem is a stone throw from the main train station in Versailles. Definitely start your day here before going out to explore the sights. I had the lunch option with the pastrami toast, an espresso and warm banana bread. DELICIOUS and made with love I'm sure of it! The food tastes as good as it looks. For coffee buffs, this place knows their coffee and its expertly prepared. Price point is great. Stopped in for breakfast, we'll be coming back for lunch.

Yelp
Fantastic stop, a hop from the train stop, on the walk to Versailles. The host was very friendly and the cappuccino's were spot on! Thank you.

Yelp
A great place for coffee in Versailles near La Gare Rive Gauche with nice juices, coffees, lunches and cakes. Enjoy a nice moment here with friends or colleagues.

Yelp
Love this little coffee shop!! Awesome coffee. My man was able to get a cold brew, which isn't always common. They have some sweets to sell as well. Couple that run (own?) the place speak English and French. Highly recommend for a delicious cappuccino before or after the Palace

Yelp
This place has solid coffee and good food! It's a great stop before or after the chateau!

Yelp
What a nice place for a morning coffee. Our family had a hot chocolate, a flat white, a cappuccino, and a double espresso. The service was excellent.

Yelp
So glad we found this place on our first day in Versailles so we could go back on the second day! The avocado toast served with the carrot and quinoa salads was fabulous, as was the oat milk latte and pistachio bread! My companion had the salmon toast, which they loved, and the berry muesli bowl, which was declared to be the best thing they've eaten in a long time! Fresh squeezed OJ and delicious tea rounded out the perfect breakfast!

Madeleine G.

Yelp
The best coffee! Amazing food- a nice break from the typical French meal we were enjoying as tourists. Amazing soup and the BEST muesli we have ever had-- full of seeds and berries.

Yelp
Came with a couple of others to get some coffee after our visit to Versailles. Got it to go and sat down for a moment to figure out our next stop. We were asked to leave as we were told they needed the tables for lunch people. ZERO people were in the coffee shop. Nobody was coming in nor was anyone else there. Coffee was not great and with their rude and possibly racist attitude, I would definitely not visit this place or give them your business.
