The Stunned Mullet

Had a truly excellent lunch from here today. The fish tacos were brilliant - so much better than ones we spent twice as much for elsewhere. They actually had a lot of grilled fish on them. The side salad was delicious, as was the fish and chips. Highly recommended.

Awesome food to feed the masses or simply sit out at the tables with a glass of wine and a friend or two!! Stunned Mullet is well priced and has beautifully cooked fresh fish and burgers...and i especially love the pineapple fritter donuts. Highly recommend!! x

Try the potato scallops with Rosemary salt.Its a healthier version of fish and chip.Everything in Kingscliff is fresh. So go for drive sit outside and it's pet friendly.Family ,friends,or just yourself and try it when you finish write up on here.I drive there just to have this.

Beautiful fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed the whiting and potato cakes made from real slices of potato. My husband said the dimsims were excellent. We ordered take away, toddler also enjoyed the fish and potato cake. The fries ‘small’ were a big potion, I’d say enough for 3-4 people decently.

Smoking hot beach day chilling and eating delicious food from some great people, what a fantastic meal to top the day off. Much appreciated I will be back 🙌

Perfectly presented and too cute is this gem of a fish and chip shop. Thank you chef for grilling a cod fillet for my border collie. This is fish n chips with optimum crunch and taste. I recommend the rosemary and garlic salt on your chips. Whilst there a young local lad came into order. Both the owner and I were overly impressed with his manners. We both hope he lands a job here. The food here feels like it’s trying to be something it’s not. It’s awful. The dim sims don’t even resemble real dim sims, they taste like frozen paste. The chips are tiny, and you can’t even bulk buy them. As for the potato cakes, they’re basically just slabs of potato. way too much potato and hardly any crispy coating. Overall I would not recommend for anyone. Payed 110+ and wasn’t even given normal sauce… had to get those little packet sachets. Trust this review… go to surfers it’s not that far and totally worth it compared to this gunk

Hmmm,,,,,, I think it always starts with the service ; - ) Fun, professional, and forever mindful of the gems the kitchen serves. Four of us - started with the pacific oysters = flavorful gems - a wonderful precursor to the scollops, and then the mains = evenly split between tooth fish and incredibly tender steak fillets. Finished with all the deserts, coffee and port. Superb lunch ! The only gripe I had was of my own making. I selected a 2015 penfolds Shiraz, but asked the sommelier if he had a superior wine in mind….. he did and it was very disappointing….. hmmmm….. make your choice and stick to it…. Best calamari and chips, and to top it off the best mango smoothies I've ever tasted! Loved the little table and chairs felt like a little cute picnic area. Location is great as the beach is only a few minutes down the road. Loved it

I purchased a bloody awesome beef burger from the Kingscliff store one Saturday night. Unfortunately the burger patty was not cooked through and raw inside. What was a little concerning is the patty was quite thin so the cook shouldn't have had much issue cooking it. I'm just thankful I only took one bite before seeing it. I was too far away to bother taking it back and the store had closed by this time to call. I tried emailing the email from their website but it bounces back. I really was quite disappointed. Sometimes these things happen but I couldn't, with a clear conscious, recommend this to others.
