This was my first time here. It is a great date night or going out with friends night. I mistakenly thought my tickets were for a Saturday night and they were for a friday night showing. Drove an hour in the rain. I was so upset with myself. Thankfully they had 2 seats the manager was willing to give us despite the no refund policy. I truly appreciated what she did. My husband and I did not sit together but we were not far from one another. There isn't a bad seat in the place. The food and drinks are very reasonable as well.

We went to see 'An Elegant Evening of Sinatra' at the Suffolk. It was an excellent show featuring a wonderful tribute to Sinatra, with a 17-piece live jazz band and performers singing classic Sinatra and Holiday music. The theater itself is stunning, providing a sophisticated and intimate atmosphere, complete with private tables, bar, and food service, as well as a dance floor for a night of fun. We thoroughly had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend attending an event there that suits your taste.

Google
My first time there to see a David Bowie tribute show and loved it. It's very much like Sony Hall and Gramercy Theatre in NYC. Definitely a great venue to see a show.

Barbara G.

Google
The venue is absolutely adorable and you could see in every single seat there since it's such a small space. We saw Peter Noone from Herman's Hermits, and found the acoustics to be wonderful and that he put on a really fun-filled concert. I understand that he's been there multiple times, so I really think it's worth the trip. As far as the staff of The Suffolk, everyone there was absolutely lovely, friendly, and accommodating.

We came this evening 7/31 to the long island comedy festival. 1 comedian and 1 guest star that were advertised for this event never arrived. We were so disappointed. We get it its bad weather). I even called beforehand to make sure that the show with 4 comedians was happening and was told YES. The 2 comedians that were there were ok. FALSE ADVERTISEMENTMBV BYNot worth $60. The venue was gorgeous and ll:; but the chc cc

08/03/25 Saw Post Modern Jukebox. Best seat Tickets were $121. Seats may be rows or table depending on production. There is balcony seating too. About 700 seats if row seating. The best seats in my opinion are the bar stools in front of the bar. Bar gets EXTREMELY BUSY! 🤣 Restrooms are upstairs. FREE parking in large lot behind the theater. There is a drink special $10 and some $10 food special too. Pretzel $17 Mozzarella Sticks $16. Cocktails $16.

Google
Yellow Brick Road Elton John Tribute Have seen this Artist along with his band before and what a spectacular show he does. This engagement there were 2 shows the same day. It appeared to be a sellout at the show I attended which was the evening show. Just my 2 cents I’m sure the theater could definitely sell more tickets for multiple nights shows. He is that good period.

Google
Amazing! Service was great and the food was delicious. Worth every penny to go see a show at the suffolk theater. Can't wait to go back!! StevieMac was incredible!!!

Yelp
What a great place to celebrate New Year's Eve. The 70's band was amazing fun and entertaining. It was like taking a trip back in time when things were simple. We danced the night away to welcome the new year. It was $136 to get in and there was snacks available for purchase. They poured a tiny bit of prosecco to toast. It's a small theater so if there's a show, I'm sure every seat has a good view. I'll definitely come back for another show in the future.

Yelp
What a great night watching mj illusion. Tons of fun. Great staff who work so hard. Seating was great . Cast members very interactive with audience.

Yelp
Great concert, excellent venue. So much fun. Every seat in the house is a good seat. Food is good, cocktails even better.

Yelp
Came here to see a band on a Friday night during a holiday weekend. Parking accessible. I enjoy that there's options for table seating opposed to standing the whole time. It's nice to sit back and enjoy an event at a table after the long work week. They have some snack options but try and eat before you go. Small portions and mainly bar food/snacks.

Yelp
Came here to see Saint Renascence and they were great! Love the art deco vibe of the place.

Yelp
The theater is beautiful and the four-person tables are cute and the talent is enjoyable. The table service is awful. To begin with your drink will be empty with no one to refill it. When it came time for dinner they took away our silverware as if they were going to bring us new silverware. Thw hot food was cold or lukewarm.Only half the meals arrived at a time with no silverware to eat it. Sometime later the rest of the meals arrived and I had to go find someone to get a silverware. I tried to talk to a manager after the show and she said that's the way it is here the staff don't work together. I was hoping she would say that she would make it better if we were to visit this theater again. To summarize: the theater itself is good but the table service is pretty poor. If I go back to this theater I would probably eat dinner at a restaurant in the neighborhood and I would get my drinks directly from the bar.

Yelp
We attended an amazing performance by Tower of Power. The venue is unique and there is plenty of parking. Do be aware that the bathrooms are upstairs (almost two flights). And it appears the smoking pot is allowed. Smelled it all through the performance. Definitely not what I expected

Yelp
We recently went back to the Suffolk Theater to see two more shows, which were again so awesome! If you have read any of my previous reviews of this place, you will know that I think it is one of the best venues to see live music. We are always there because their concerts are amazing, and the people who work there really do care if you are having a good time. During one of the shows I met the Executive Director, Gary Hygom. There was a problem with the level of the music with that particular band, which wasn't typical for this theater. Gary took care of things and ensured everyone that the issue was not with the theater sound people, which we found out later, and I am sure that issue is definitely fixed :-) The past two shows we went to were the CCR (Credence Clearwater Revival) tribute, and Beck-Ola, for the great guitarist Jeff Beck who recently unexpectedly died. These were two of the most amazing shows this theater has hosted! The sound and lighting was perfect! This weekend 5/3/24 will be their Southern Rockfest, which we go to every year. This is such a great show, that I encourage people to get tickets, if there are any left, because you will have one of the best times of your life! If you haven't been to the Suffolk Theater yet, this would be a great time to experience it! Thanks to Gary and all of his amazing staff!!

Yelp
Show was great. Food was good. Service was HORRIBLE!! Didn't get my food and drink till the show was half started!! Didn't have water for most of it bc she did not check in on us and we waited 25 minutes after the show to pay the bill!!! Like come on they need to get better service for such a nice place. Kinda disappointed for my first time

Bradley S.

Yelp
Atrocious customer service. Nobody answers the phone or responds to messages. Constantly lying about ticket prices. Stupid name for a venue considering there are other theaters within the same county. Avoid this place.

Nichole G.

Yelp
Great venue! Good drinks. Friendly staff. Always have a great time attending concerts here!

Tee G.

Yelp
I have a gift card that was lost for $100 found it and they won't honor it. They said it was an old system and it is expired. This is the second time this theater has done something not nice! During covid they turned you away and wouldn't honor your tickets if you did not have a vaccine and this was when you weren't required to have the vaccine. They won't refund or credit for medical issues either!! They have not honored other people's gift cards. How much money are they making off of people. I am going stop going here. I have three tickets for a show this evening. It will be our last. I hope anyone that knows this is such a terrible business practice. I don't care if it expires. It's not right. They have no morals when it comes to taking peoples money!!! $100!!! How many have they stolen!!!

Moose M.

Yelp
First time there and saw Albert. Cummings perform. Great music, great space, great staff and great sound. Drink prices were also very reasonable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!

Yelp
Linda Ronstat show was excellent. Love the theater. Love the round top seating. Service was good, eat dinner before you go.

Yelp
Saw a Neil Diamond cover the other night . I'd say this might be the best venue on Long Island to see a show . While I don't love sitting with strange couples at a table , the place is total class . Every seat is great , service is on point , food is just bar food and a bit pricey , but the drinks are great . I need to come here more often ,the price of admission is such a value for such a terrific venue .

Yelp
Nice local theatre in Riverhead but the tale talent is hit or miss. Last night we saw a faux ABBA group called ARRIVAL from Sweden. They were excellent. In the past we saw a faux comedian who was not very good. The drinks are watery and expensive but people seemed to have a nice time.

Yelp
The vanilla fudge were destroyed by the super loud and distorted audio.... I had a horrible time. If you were up front near the stage you were ok but I was back at table 403 and it was ear shattering, I'm a drummer in several tribute bands and even with my being use to loud music , this was punishing loud and distorted.... Now for the food service ....The waitress was told to bother us in the early middle of the show to pay our food bill !!! What nerve to interrupt us during the show. The show started at 7:15pm they came to us 30 min later to pay our bill at 7:45 pm saying the show was almost and we needed to pay the bill over which was not true, the show went on until 8:35 pm. She later apologized and told us that the food service manager told them to collect the money after 30 minutes into the show. This was really stupid and unprofessional.... On top of that I paid $27 for the minuscule amount of food on the messsy platter ... I'll never subject myself to the horrible food service treatment again ...

Yelp
It was so fun... until. We went to see Friday the 13th, which was so fun... but the waiter came to settle the bill... at the climax of the movie!! And of course he hit up the one person in our group who hadn't seen the movie. That was literally the only downside, and it was a big one.
google avatar

Yelp
My new favorite place to see a show. Love that you are able to sit at a small table and order drinks and snacks. Originally opened in 1933 this theater has been restored beautifully and is magnificent. Amazing history and a gem for Long Island.
google avatar

Nicollette M.

Yelp
I hate writing bad reviews, I really do... but when I say we waited 25 minutes for a drink to get to the front of the line for this old dirty blonde in a brown shirt to be extremely nasty and tell me " YOU CANT ORDER DRINKS HERE" after serving 15 people in front of me. This will be the first and last time I come here. Being a bartender of 14 years, watching the absolute catastrophe of bartenders tonight was just tragic and painful. If it wasn't for the band we were here to see, I would have left with how absolutely terrible this is. If you're going to have large events, make sure you have the right bartenders who actually know what the heck they're doing. Sorry not sorry for this, do better.

Yelp
First l must tell you I am a big, no huge Eagles fan. So some friends, knowing this, invited us to an Eagles Tribute Band concert at Suffolk Theater. Eventually our group grew to 11 people. OK, it's a dinner theater with tables and a bar. You can get a price fixe meal for $30, which seemed like a pretty good deal, but we all ate a a restaurant in the area before the show. The show starts at 8:00 PM, but it starts as a tribute to Tom Petty who died last year. BTW, and just a note, Glen Frey, one of the Eagles founding band members died last year too. Where's his tribute? I'm sure there's a Tom Petty following, but I'm not one of them, so an hour of listening to Tom Petty songs was not what I was there for. Also within that hour the band leader brings out his daughter, who appeared to be a lovely young lady to sing a Stevie Nicks song. BTW, I am a Stevie Nicks fan. Sorry not even close. Her dad explained that she is a nurse. I was so happy to hear that because I don't believe she will make it in the music business. I should also note that they played old MTV videos on a screen behind the band and some of Tom Petty's songs were pretty dark. After an hour of torture they finally start the Eagles tribute. They played many of there-top hits and a few that only true fans would appreciate. Truthfully, a felt they were a little off key on some of the songs. Of course they played Hotel California, an Eagles classic, take it to the limit, Desperato, Lying Eyes, Life's Been Good To Me, a Joe Walsh song, and several others. Just a side note, I never understood Joe Walsh being in the Eagles. How about you? In the end, I was a little disappointed with the show, but the theater was great so when they have a concert that I think I'd like, I'll be there.

Yelp
So my friend and went 2 a 90's show at this venue last night, 2/3/23. The theater itself was nice. The music was 3 bands. Not what I was expecting but I rolled with it. The music was loud...very loud...2 loud. Ears still ringing loud. The light show was bright and kept shining and blinking in my eyes. I had 2 shield my eyes and keep my head down. The drinks were over priced. 13 bucks 4 a short vodka cranberry. The bathrooms were up 2 flights of stairs. The tickets 4 the 2 of us were over 100 bucks. Am I going back? No. Would I recommend this venue 2 others? No.

Katie M.

Yelp
We always love coming to this charming venue! However, this time we have 2 comments. The sound system for the G.E. Smith/Duke Robillard concert on Jan. 26, 2024 was less than great. Duke sounded like he was inhaling helium and G.E. was all garbled. Also, the women's upstairs bathroom REEKED of urine!
google avatar

Susan G.

Yelp
Great venue!! Every seat is terrific, sound system was amazing. If you love Van Morrison the coverband " Moondance " was exceptional!! The staff was also 5 star, highly recommend!!

Deborah S.

Yelp
I attended a show with family and friends. One of my friends was being bullied by two women sitting at the bar next to us. I asked these women to leave her alone and before knew it I had a very large man standing behind me. It was my birthday and we were just trying to enjoy the night. My daughter moved us to a table to avoid any more trouble, and instead of thanking her the owner of the establishment screamed at her in the hallway. At the same time these women continued to taunt me and my friends from the bar. At no time did did the owner or the very large man stop them. I did not feel safe in this establishment and had to leave.

Yelp
Beautifully Renovated Facility. Watched a Bee Gees Tribute show and they were awesome. Lots of music and dancing. Reasonably priced pre fix dinner. Food portions, choices, presention and taste were great. Outstanding service by Michelle. Fully stocked bar available. All seats had a view. Overall nice experience, highly recommended entertainment. Enjoy!
google avatar

Sheila V.

Yelp
This was my first time there. I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show. The theater has a wonderful vintage charm to it, and is comfortable. But the food was less than mediocre, and we waited 90 minutes for it. The sound track was loud and distorted. I couldn't wait for it to end. I needed Tylenol for a headache, and Pepto Bismol for dessert. It's a Shame, since it has the potential to be an amazing experience, but it wasn't .
google avatar

Rick W.

Yelp
Very lucky to have this in our backyard. Saw the brilliant Karl Wallinger and the rest of World Party. The theater is stunning inside, the acoustics were perfect and the wait staff was very attentive. Everyone was very polite and professional. The food was excellent and served promptly. I would like to see more rock n roll come to this theater but I suggest find something you have an interest in, and visit Riverhead's nicest joint.

Cool B.

Yelp
Great experience last night. Saw Croce. The music brought back memories, great energy from the band and Mr. Croce. Thanks for the background stories with the songs. Service was on point. Our server Brayden didn't miss a beat. He was around when we needed him without being intrusive. I didn't see anyone in his section looking around for him. Everything was served in a timely manner. My teens enjoyed their rib tips, grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Gorgonzola fries lasted about 5 seconds. Overall awesome e night out.

P M.

Yelp
Ok, so here is my review.....their venue's are great!!! Haven't seen a bad show yet. A couple of things they may want to do: Change the Food and make it hot!!!!!! I'm not sure if it's the waitstaff or the kitchen, but, DAMN, get your act together! The drinks are okay, not great. Everytime we go, it take 20-30 minutes for one of the waitstaff to come over for the drink order, then they disappear for 25 minutes!!!!!! Last night was the perfect example. Waited for someone to come over, again, 20 minutes into the show, finally someone comes over. Again, another 25 minutes to get the drinks. When they finally bought them, we told him to bring another round. Figured by the time he came back, we were ready for the second round! Perfect place for concerts, comedians, etc. Just wish the service was better....:(

Tanya Z.

Yelp
Beautiful venue. My hometown theater Saw a show last night had floor table. Only issue I had is people coming up and dancing on the floor. Dancing and enjoying yourself is a wonderful thing but having someone's ass in your face while you're trying to eat and enjoy the show not so good. Definitely recommend going to see a show there just don't choose a floor table if you don't want to or can't stand up. I suggest to the theater maybe not having tables on the floor so that more people have more room to really enjoy dancing to the music. Price of tickets reasonable and worth every penny. Close to home and I love seeing the theater open and thriving again. Would I go to see another show? Absolutely!!!
google avatar

Sunita S.

Yelp
I'm giving 3 stars because this is the 3rd time we have been. The shows are good, and sometimes great. The first 2 times we ate elsewhere and went for drinks. This last time we had dinner too. The dinner was average, service for dinner was also average. They actually brought us our meal twice. So they are lacking a little more organization. I'll definitely go for a show again, but definitely not for dinner again.

Kristina C.

Yelp
Selling tickets to shows but when you arrive expecting a concert they are closed. No refund issued or email to let you know the concert wasn't happening.
google avatar

Jared R.

Yelp
Great venue, great events, excellent food and staff! Original and tribute bands, First class weddings, corporate and special events at this fully renovated Art Deco Theater in the heart of Riverhead
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
A real nice place that could be much better. Food was very mediocre at best and on the cold side, server was superior though, she tried. The sound system is horrible and gave me an earache and I am a playing musician so for me to say it hurt my ears...... Anyway they should upgrade the kitchen/recipes and bring the sound system into 2018, it sounded bad, making good acts/shows sound terrible.

Yelp
Came here for a Comedy Show last night. The place was sold out & we all had an absolute blast. The Theater is just beautiful. It's a sit down dinner theater which is a nice change from a "movie theater" style setting. They had discounted drinks at the bar from 6-8 which was cool. Ordered a couple of appetizers during the show. The food isn't cheap & the portions weren't that great even for appetizers. We ordered the cheese plate with flatbread. The cheese was delicious but there wasn't alot. There were 3 different kinds and they were all tasty. Was just expecting a little more for $18. We ordered the potato skins too. The menu stated that they were red potato skins but they were more like the baby reds. They were the size of a quarter and there was only 6 on the plate for $10.I didn't try one but my husband didn't think they were anything great. We also ordered the proscuitto & goat cheese flatbread pizza for $14. It was very very tasty. I would say it was 10" round, cut into 4 pieces, small but delish. Our waitress was sweet but she defintetly seemed overwhelmed. I ordered a glass of wine and after 20 mintutes of waiting husband went up to the bar to get me a glass, when she eventually showed up with my wine she apoligized and gave me the glass of wine on the house which I thought was nice. They have a nice selection of beer on tap including local craft beer. Defiently looking forward to coming back here again for another show soon.
google avatar

Frank T.

Yelp
Beautiful theater and an incredible restoration. If you like art deco this theater is it. Most of the theater was restored to original details. The theater chairs were replaced with tables and chairs and has the feel of a classy nightclub. Every seat has a great view of the stage. We saw World Party and it was a great show. The only problem was the sound system inconsistencies but the acoustics were good when the sound was in sync. Food was mediocre, I would recommend having dinner at one of the local restaurants in Riverhead and have drinks at the theater. They do have a good wine list and include a selection of some of the better LI wines.
google avatar

Henry P.

Yelp
If I could give less than one star I would. We came with friends for my brides birthday. Food took over an hour and was room temperature. Spoke with a person claiming to be a manager she was unprofessional. They offered to buy a round which I turned down based on attitude of the "manager". I WILL write to the GM and it is likely we will not return.
google avatar

Ed Z.

Yelp
My wife and I got married at The Suffolk and could not have been happier with our choice. We loved every minute-- including the planning help we got from the staff. The staff is incredible. We threw a LOT of technical requests at them, and they rolled with all of them with grace. True professionals. Nicole Evers is the Director of Events. She's a real asset and is a pleasure to deal with. Our guests absolutely loved the food! We served beef short rib and Long Island duck-- not your typical wedding fare. Really amazing stuff. The interior is first rate, Classic Art Deco, and lovingly restored. Terrific location. Hotels are very conveniently located nearby. And if you're getting married at The Suffolk, consider having your rehearsal dinner right across the street. All this made for a very special night, and a very unique event. The Suffolk Theater literally sets the stage!
google avatar

George A.

Yelp
The biggest hidden gem on Long Island in terms of a wedding venue. We just got married there on Friday and almost every person there said it was the most amazing wedding they've ever been to. Word of advice-don't give negative reviews to this place if you're expecting a typical LI Catering Hall wedding. This is not the place for you if that's what you want. I'm very well versed in the event industry and had lots of contacts that made this wedding so good. If you're getting married here, spend the extra money for a wedding planner and I guarantee you'll be more than happy with the results. You can't beat these four walls if you're looking for "different."
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
Love going here for date nights. Good atmosphere. Good entertainment. Restaurant service can be slow sometimes. But always very nice folks.

Loretta L.

Yelp
Went to see Art Garfunkel last night I paid almost 400 dollars for my tickets and we had to sit in poorly padded folding chairs Never again sorry
google avatar

Michael I.

Yelp
Woah. This is a catering review. If this place is your style then it is the top of the line. It's got a very specific look but it nails it. This is the only venue of its type on LI. The food was awesome and creative. I went here for a friend's wedding and was amazed at how... Well inventive it was. They were able to do some theater aspects and really made the wedding unique. The venue seemed like they really accommodated the couple to help them pull off awesome tricks. What a wedding. Wish I could do mine here.
google avatar

Maureen T.

Yelp
Love all the shows here. Beautiful art deco theater. Drinks expensive, haven't eaten here, but the menu looks interesting.

DV P.

Yelp
Love this Vintage venue. Keep in mind it is a theater that offers limited food menu not a restaurant offering a show. We've seen numerous shows her - Never saw a bad one. Drinks were typical and although we did not order from dinner menu, we found their "bar type menu" on par with other bar type meals. We typically eat elsewhere before the show but We will definitely continue to enjoy going to this local venue! We love it!

Diana T.

Yelp
Great shows. Love the parlor seating. I will continue to go back for the entertainment. As far as the food - eat before you come. Food & service CONSISTENTLY bad. And ive given it many chances.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
Went last night to see the Chicago and Three Dog Night show--it was great. The food was also good and the prices are very good. We'll be back.
google avatar

Barry M.

Yelp
Beautiful old restored theater. Staff and servers are excellent. Food is mediocre, I always eat elsewhere. Easy access and plenty of parking in back in the municipal lot. My only real complaint is the horrible plastic lawn chairs used to seat people. Part of the restoration should have included decent chairs, who wants to sit on a hard plastic chair for 2+ hours?
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
Get ready to be impressed. This GORGEOUS theatre has been restored to have an amazing nostalgia combined with a high tech experience. Originally built in 1933 and closed in the 80's the owners revitalized this magical venue to create a truly exceptional experience. They host weddings, events, theatre and corporate events which was brought me here: the staff were top notch professionals and maintained the perfect balance of experience while allowing us to be creative and have a unique event. The AV/tech team were outstanding. Our presentation went almost perfectly and it was clear that everyone working there was on point. Nicole, the person who coordinated everything was incredibly accommodating and an obvious perfectionist because she wanted to ensure we had a flawless event-she made that her mission and she succeeded. She is a gem! THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Had a three course meal and the salad was delicate, icy cold and fresh and the steak was delectable...the cheese cake was rocking. Overall-DO NOT miss out on this place...if you see an event, go! We also went to a comedy show which was great! Check. It. Out!
