This is a restaurant right at the top of Snowbird. The staff were super friendly. There are plenty of tables for groups to sit down. It’s a help yourself buffet however the food is off top quality from bison stew to a full on roast dinner to chicken pot pie to just snack some pizza it’s super high-quality Which goes well with this world class resort. The restaurant itself has huge windows and even on a snowy day it’s just mesmerising to look at this is a must see go to place whether it’s for a hot chocolate or for a sit down three course meal. One of our friends actually fell over carrying his food and there were two or three staff straight away at his side, helping him up and replacing his food for him. This was a really really nice touch. Great job guys keep it up.

Google
At first I was a little disappointed because they don’t have many food options but the turkey dinner panini I ordered was so delicious and filling. They also have salads, soup, pizza, and other paninis. Paninis range from $17-$19 and a pizza slice is $9.50. The views are spectacular and the staff is super friendly.

Can’t beat the view. Great spot for lunch. Food is decent, prices are on par with ski resort pricing.

Google
Food is pretty good and surprisingly so are prices. So I would have rated it higher except it is always so packed and hard to find a table at lunch. Also they are so weird about napkins and salt upstairs. Why are there no salt shakers upstairs? Why upstairs do only half the tables have napkin dispensers? Seems so lazy and cheap. And it is a real inconvenience

Brian and Nick at the pizza counter are the best!!!!! The food was also amazing! We got the carmelized pizza it was so good and also a sandwich that was sooooo good! Thank you we loved it!

Google
This place is great! There are a lot of food choices and great views 11,000 feet high on Hidden Peak. Take your food up stairs and enjoy the amazing views and uncrowded seating. Once up stairs step out on the quiet balcony by the stairs on the South East side. The views are great!

Google
Fantastic views of little cottonwood, big cottonwood, and American fork canyons. End of September is a fantastic time to see the fall colors! And the hike up to hidden peak (via Peruvian gulch trail) is so beautiful. Loved the tram ride down as well. Great any time of year!

Ash M

Google
This place is a joke. You pay $40 to ride the tram to the top and they do not have the full menu advertised online. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and looking forward to a special lunch together without the kids. we get up there to find out they were only serving panini’s and pizza!! I have a gluten/dairy allergy and the only option I could get was a $10 fruit plate because all the premade salads were covered in cheese!! My husband paid $10 for mediocre pizza. We hiked down the mountain so we essentially paid $100 for a one-way ride. Views are great but save your money!! Not worth it!

Yelp
The summit at Snowbird is a very unique ski resort Lodge in my opinion! The views from the summit are amazing. with many viewing spots, and places to take great photos. Like any ski eating place it's very hard to find a seat but what I did enjoy about The Summit at Snowbird is that it seem to have more seating options than most! I still haven't gotten my favorite part yet which was the food prices, I've gotten so used to seeing $70 meals that don't look that appetizing, to seeing great food that not only tasted delicious but worth the price! The service was also efficient. The lines went well, and the cleaning staff was fantastic. Shout out to them.

Yelp
This is from 2 years go...So they had to do maintenance on the electrical grid at Snowbird. The power was to be down for 2 hours and I had business appointments, so I called the City of Alta as to their suggestions on where I could get wifi. They suggested the Summit. The food and beer was awesome. The service was great! They took good care of us!

Maris T.

Yelp
It was wonderful going up and seeing the incredible view. Very peaceful and memorable

Yelp
The tram ride up to The Summit is always an adventure. Going for events at The Summit makes it a little extra special. Like taking the train to Hogwarts. Even without an event, the hiking during the summer up here is phenomenal, as is the skiing in-season. They just about give you a reason to come up any time of the year.

Yelp
Took the gondola up to have lunch at the summit. Lunch had just opened so there wasn't a rush or line. We glanced at all the offerings and decided on the goulash, the chili and the salad bar. After all, the pizza and the burgers didn't look great. The goulash was an excellent choice, and is served over rice. I only wished that it was served over cauliflower rice, but they did not have that option. So I opted for a tiny scoop of rice. The chili had toppings available but were doled out by restaurant staff. So you had no control over how much sour cream and cheese they put on. The salad bar is your best bet. They charge by the size of the plate, not by its weight!!! So pile it on, sister. Get your fill. You're like me, you don't mind all your food on top of each other, the salad bar is a great bargain. Two Water is available at the solids stations for free. They have large red cups for it. Seating can get full quickly; the view through the windows is amazing. They have some beer for sale at a separate window. Bathrooms are clean. Overall, minimal offerings for lunch at this place. Wish there were more.

Yelp
Tried to get a kids grilled cheese ($8) and side of soup ($3.50), cause I figured that'd be enough to get me through the day. The guy gave me a grilled cheese and soup (like I'd ordered) and then they tried to charge me $18.00 for the sandwich alone. I told them I had ordered the kids one, they said oh okay we'll take that back for you. They literally just took half the sandwich off my plate and threw it in the trash (right in front of me), then gave it back. Snowbird has signs all over the resort about wasting water, what about wasting food?? I was appalled. They'd rather waste perfectly cooked food than give it to customers.

Yelp
What a spectacular view! I cannot say enough about the location. The ride up is truly worthwhile on its own. The food is a bit expensive but you are at 11,000 feet of elevation an the peak of a mountain so all that considered, it's a fair price. I had the bratwurst and that was delicious. Came loaded with sauerkraut which really paired well with the sweetness of the caramelized sausage. We also had a slice of the four cheese pizza and that was really good too. A bit expensive (~$10 a large slice). They use high quality cheese and you can tell because when it is baked the cheese does not separate creating puddles of grease like other cheep pizzas. The box of veggies with hummus was also fairly tasty. The selection overall is limited but everything seems to be of quality. The staff was very friendly and they even recommend you not buy bottled water (~$7) and use the soda machine's water dispenser . Really looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Ok, I get it. The prices aren't cheap. But what you need to realize is that you are at 11,000 ft. at a ski resort. If you think you are going to get a dollar menu here you are mistaken. With that as a backdrop, and the amazing views, I think The Summit is a great place to grab some food. I have been to the Summit two times this year and have been impressed. The place is clean, the views are outstanding and the food is good. I wouldn't say that the food is off the chain amazing, but it certainly is good. They have a good salad bar and the paninis are good. I like the roast beef one. Portions aren't huge, but not tiny either. I also really like the cookies. Overall a great place to relax during the ski day with friends and to enjoy the views!

Robert K.

Yelp
Being this was our first time at snowbird, we were really surprised to find such a beautiful and modern lodge at almost 11,000 feet. But low and behold at the very top, there it was. The building has huge floor to ceiling windows which give you a nice view of the whole place. Even more surprising was the food that was served. I have been to other summit lodges and most of the time it was like fries and hot dogs. But this place has artisan pizza, a carvery, sandwiches and salads bars just to name a few. I ended up getting some Utah lamb with sides of potatoes and broccoli. The food was pretty good. The lamb was nice and tender with a decent enough portion. The price was a little on the expensive side but nothing too crazy. It was nice to relax at the top with good food and drinks and just take in the views.

Tim O.

Yelp
You can't miss this place for a skier's lunch. Shockingly high-quality meals, beer, new modern building, and million dollar views. Some of the kitchen employees had definitely grown tired of the neverending stream of enthusiastic skiers calling them "boss," though. Good luck finding a seat!

Steven O.

Yelp
Finally got up to the top here on the tram. We tried to go in and get lunch at 3:03 and they wouldn't let us in. The guy claimed they had to close to make the last tram down. That sounds like a lie, knowing that ski patrol has yo come up to patrol at the end of the day. Who turns away money? Sounds like some staff needs to get some training.

Yelp
You've made it. World class skiing and riding beneath your very feet. You crushed the powder all morning long and your gas tank is on empty. My newest and favorite place to recharge (if you're not doing laps and eating on the lifts) is The Summit at Snowbird. The views are worth the break even if you don't eat anything. Snowbird decided to go all in when they built this place last summer (2015) and it shows. I've talked about the views that go on for miles on a bluebird day (you can see all the way down to the valley). I'm almost convinced I could see Park City too?! The quality and reasonable pricing of the food make it the ideal spot to meet up with your friends and warm up. They even have some Wasatch brew on tap if you're staying for an extended break. Large tables inside accommodate a big crew and the super strong and speedy Wi-Fi give you a chance to connect to the outside world and brag about your face shots from the morning. I highly recommend The Summit as a stopover at some point of your day. Don't forget to drink up with the H20- no altitude sickness allowed, alright?!

Eduard L.

Yelp
First time to be here. My wife and I went for their Full Moon Dinner. It was a blast for us. The experience is pretty awesome - the Tram ride is already a great experience, then you have the magnificent view of the Wasatch. OMG, you can't get enough of that. The views are great coupled with a great service and food - what more can you ask for! The tall glass windows that surround The Summit takes your breath away as you take in the views that surrounds you while you dine. The Summit doesn't disappoint with their food offerings as well during the dinner service. We will definitely be back. I know there's another dinner experience scheduled next week - Western Cook Out. The Summit likewise offers weekend brunch. We haven't tried that, but it's in our list already.

Marissa N.

Yelp
The views are incredible! Definitely worth coming for that. Check out the rooftop to get the full 360 degree views. We got one of each panini and they were missing flavor and crunch so we all added pickles to them. The food is better at the other lodges and the summit restaurant doesn't have as much variety. But it does feel luxurious and you really are here for the view

Nick V.

Yelp
Awesome salad bar! Enjoyed eating at the highest restaurant in Utah. Thanks for the upgrade.

Channon F.

Yelp
A large group of us do an annual hike from the base of Snowbird up to The Summit. We enjoy the food better than the tent food during Octoberfest.

John L.

Yelp
Great view. Great location right at the summit. Cafeteria style ordering. The special steak stew was quite good. Paninis look promising. A lot more room to sit than the mid-gad. There are some places to sit outside on the patio with amazing views.

Caroline G.

Yelp
We took the Ariel tram up here and we stayed at the summit for a few hours, we had a great lunch and enjoyed the beautiful view. We spent about $50 for 2 roast beef sandwiches and a bowl of chili. The chili was to die for, it's very hearty and delicious. The roast beef sandwich was great as well but a bit of the dry side. The view from up here is amazing. It was very crowded so it took us a minute to find a table, but people are always willing to share their tables. Overall it was a beautiful place and a wonderful experience.

Victoria L.

Yelp
Gorgeous location! Worth the drive up the mountain. A little pricey for some things, but I have had the chicken on a biscuit, a hamburger, and a slice of chocolate cake, and have enjoyed them all! Highly recommend trying this place out!

Roger M.

Yelp
My review is about the main restaurant on the ground floor, not the fancy one upstairs. The building is beautiful. The food is wonderful, and healthy. The staff are friendly. In North American ski resorts it does not get any nicer than this.

Sexy S.

Yelp
View is amazing! Food is good, pricier side but not too bad. Portions are good. It gets packed for lunch there with all the skiers, but people are respectful of space and move on pretty fast from their tables when done.

Elaine J.

Yelp
We loved eating here after the hike up. Great food. A little expensive but it is vacation! We had pizza and panini. Amazing view to just come and enjoy.

David S.

Yelp
Great paninis and pizzas, fruit plates are fresh and delicious as well. Dining area has amazing views of the canyon. Walking/hiking after lunch was awesome! 35 degrees cooler at the summit than it is down on the benches. Nice little facation.

Christine T.

Yelp
New restaurant opened this year. Food is good and great views as well. We had a salad self selected from the buffet style salad bar which was very fresh, and a pretty tasty panini. The building is really nice and there are two terraces on the second floor to admire these spectacular mountains.

Will B.

Yelp
This place is awesome. The new building is beautiful the food is fantastic and the whole facility is outstanding. And all this at the top of a mountain. The view... well the view is amazing. The best part about this is that compared to similar places the prices are actually quite reasonable. If you happen to be at snowbird and looking for a place to have a bite to eat, skip the places at the mountain, ride on up the tram and have your lunch in the sky.

Tyler C.

Yelp
I just want to say Gregory the Jamaican guy is the nicest person at the Summit. Made the visit very pleasant. The view up here is amazing! The food is pretty good too! We got the beef stew and chicken soup. Everything tastes fresh, has great flavor, and was worth the money. Favorite place to come at snowbird so far!

Chrissie B.

Yelp
Absolutely a rip off!! I went for dinner knowing it was going to be a bit pricey considering the location and it was a full moon dinner event ect. I was thinking, a good prime rib dinner..$50. It was a banquet served dinner for $75!!!! Wine was $42 a bottle at the cheapest. Ive been banquet serving for 4 years and this was total BS!! The food was dry and stale, soup was cold with typical crappy banquet food. Dry salmon, overcooked beef and if you're a vegetarian, don't bother. There's not much to choose from. It was such a rip off!! What I remember, as being a banquet server, we do not get tips, we are paid hourly. The guests stand up and serve themselves whatever food there is available on their own as the banquet servers give drinks and clear plates. The banquet servers "literally" asked for a tip. If they are asking for tips they must be getting underpaid which makes me feel like the a-hole because I didn't feel the need to tip them. If you're taking someone on a date, you will be sorry. Total disappointment. Ugh.

Wayne P.

Yelp
Good food after hiking up from chair lift. Had 3 cheese sourdough sandwich it was really good. The lemon chocolate cookie was delicious.

Peter S.

Yelp
Excellent food at the top of Snowbird with beer and views..oh those views...why do reviews have to be so long

Paul H.

Yelp
For mountain dining this establishment was surprisingly urbane. Excellent views and to be had. The salad bar was stocked with fresh ingredients. While it is crowded I feel it was worth the wait.

M F.

Yelp
The views are amazing it's a great place whether you eat or not. We went up last weekend and took some friends to lunch. It's a cafeteria style restaurant but the food is extremely well done and the portions are large, they've got something for everyone here so don't be afraid to bring the kids. Can't wait to eat here during ski season.

Marcus H.

Yelp
We came up here in the summer. Roast beef panini was good. Liked the crust on the pepperoni pizza. Really pleasantly surprised about this pace. Unfortunately, most of the food stations were closed. The choice was between pizza, paninis and salads. I subtracted one star for the lack of variety.
