We are repeat offenders to this scrumptious eatery. Always standing room only. Not on Easter morning. We had the whole place to our shelf for a few minutes anyway, it was very enjoyable the staff is happy and welcoming! The food was super delicious and served hot and fast as always. The portions on our breakfast bowls were shocking, and in a world of shrinkflation, I swear they bowl was bigger than last year. I'm always glad to go back!

On a Wednesday morning there are not a lot of breakfast places open in the area. We had driven by this place several times over the past few days and it was always busy. From the outside it looks pretty small, but it surprisingly bigger inside. It looks newly updated and is very clean. We walked in and were seated right away. The menu has something for everyone and a variety of options. The food was quick to come out and delicious. I got the famous blueberry pancakes- we were told they won an award in People Magazine and my husband got the French toast. They are open everyday.

Google
Great place for breakfast near storyland. Came about 9:00 on a Thursday morning. The parking lot looked full when we pulled in but we waited less than 3 minutes for a table to open. I imagine it gets busy at times as it’s a small place but there never seemed to be a wait while we were there. The food was good quality with real ingredients. We had Da Bomb steak bowl, the Shack Toast, and the kids Anklebiter. The sausage parties and wheat toast were excellent. We would definitely come back

Nice place, the breakfast and lunch are good, they are very friendly and the place is very clean. They have high chairs so is baby friendly 😊

Google
Another one of our favorite spots and it has been awhile since our last visit. Had to wait as this place always has a crowd. We both had the Pinkham omelette with spinach and tomatoes that were fresh with herb cream cheese. I passed on the cream cheese, not my cup of tea !! The toast looks like it was sliced,so good. Wasn't a fan of the homefries. Our waitress was Sarah, prices were good. If you can get in try it 😋😉

Google
Sunrise Shack is a fantastic breakfast spot with a wide variety of options to choose from. I ordered the Los Huevos Rancheros breakfast bowl, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was excellent as well, with friendly staff who made the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping in for a great start to your day!

Google
Very loud, busy breakfast spot. Not ideal for singles. I couldn't finish my omelet. It was large. Best thing was the Amadama bread slathered with butter. The omelet I ordered had fresh spinach and chopped tomatoes with cheese an the most disgusting enormously, over portioned, ranch dressing oozing over everything. I thought it was going to be cooked spinach. It kept falling off the fork, difficult to eat. I wasn't expecting a 🥗 salad, sloppily made. Couldn't spare a moment to cut the toast? Just throw it in top.

Google
What can I say, my son and I love this place, especially for breakfast! In 3 visits, we ordered 15 breakfast meals, just to try as much as we could, we didn't leave a crumb behind! They truly make breakfast unique here! Staff was awesome, atmosphere was great! Expect a wait, but once you get in, try the unique offerings! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Excellent breakfast spot, the best in the area. We got an omelette that was loaded with all the goods. Pancakes that had bananas and were dusted with powdered sugar. We also got sausage and cheese on a delicious Portuguese English muffin!!! They have a drink menu full of fun adult and kid beverages. Would recommended 10/10!!!

Yelp
Although the food looked good in the reviews we unfortunately did not have the chance to try it. We showed up with a party of 7 including 2 kids. It was 11:30 on a Tuesday and the place was basically empty. First off having a smoking area right next to the front door was not good, walking through second hand smoke just to get in was not welcoming. We said 7 people and their response was we can seat you at different tables. Asked if we could put the tables together they refused. No apparent reason why they couldn't, they just wouldn't. They offered to "let" the kids sit at a high top all by themselves separated from their parents. The kids were visibly not comfortable with that option and they still would not accommodate us. So we left and went down the road to a much more welcoming restaurant.

Yelp
If you're in the hunt for a home made family owned breakfast with great service with a smile, fresh tasting ingredients and a bright open vibe, look no further!! Took about 15 minutes to wait for a table during the morning rush, but that's because the is so popular. We ordered eggs for my son, a breakfast sandwich, and the blueberry pancakes. Everything was so delicious! The huge English muffin and bacon jam on the sandwich was out of this world. Blueberries were nice and plump In the pancakes. Highly recommended !!

Yelp
This place is a gem! I stopped by early with my mom, husband, and baby. I can't remember what my mom or husband ordered, but I got the Shack Toast - sweet cannoli cream stuffed French toast with raspberry sauce. Hands down, one of the best French toast I've ever had! That filling was everything, and I LOVED the raspberry sauce. I'll be ordering the same breakfast during my next White Mountains vacation!

Yelp
Really nice breakfast here and excellent 10/10 service. We were originally bummed that we may not get a table, since there were SO many cars in the lot and plenty of people waiting outside as well as in their cars. Thankfully, the wait was very short and maybe just 10-15 minutes or so. We were helped immediately and the 10 min wait allowed us to pick out our food so we ordered when we sat down. We were pleasantly delighted to see they offer milk alternatives such as oat milk. The food came out in maybe only 5-10 minutes more, hot and fresh and exactly as we ordered it. The eggs were full of flavor and nothing seemed greasy or overcooked. Serving size is normal; no skimping on portions but also not anything massive either. The ambiance of The Sunrise Shack is clean, tidy, and minimal yet has an inviting, warm, cabin-like atmosphere. The menu is underneath a plate of glass/plexi on the table which makes things seem easy. The menu feels expansive with a plethora of choices, yet simple and minimal, if that makes sense. While we were eating we watched the 2 servers quickly help other patrons. All the other tables were getting their orders taken quickly and then getting food extremely promptly. We were helped very quickly and as soon as we finished we were offered the check. They really know how to run a breakfast here, and do it quite well. Do not be afraid of a wait here because things move quickly. Overall we really enjoyed our breakfast here and it was exactly what we wanted - something quick and easy, healthy and tasty, and no frills.

Yelp
Delicious! Friendly, attentive service. Rustic atmosphere and very clean. What more could you want?

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly service and lovely ambiance. We loved the pancakes and breakfast sandwich and coffee.

Yelp
Food and service were awesome. Great place. My wife was being difficult. But she's pregnant. Trying to fill 85 characters.

Yelp
Loved the vibe - warm, welcoming and a bit retro. Service was spot on from the moment we walked in, until we paid the bill. Menu is extremely robust with a ton of different options. The shack toast is a must, not too sweet but full of flavor. The huevos rancheros bowl was served in this metal bowl which was a bit hard to eat out of. The potatoes at the bottom of the bowl could have used another few minutes on the grill for some extra crisp, but the overall favor and punch the jalapeños packed was great. Looking forward to coming back and trying one of their breakfast sandwhich the next time we're in town.

Yelp
Not only was the food original and fabulous, they made the experience worth it! Love seeing co workers joke around and jump out and scare people. When you live your job it makes the guests experiences so much better. Thank you for the birthday breakfast! I'll definitely come again!
google avatar

Cat G.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! Many options to choose from, ajwats busy so you may have to wait a bit but it's worth it. Pancakes were especially great ! Also prices are on point so it's definitely a place I'd love to return to soon and recommend if you are in the neighborhood. If you aren't , it's worth a drive !

Yelp
we arrived in the pouring rain and they took a credit card, gave us a beeper and told us to wait in the car which was a pouring rain away and a flooded parking lot. I guess this is the first time it's ever rained in this part of the country. They don't take reservations. They don't have any area outside. It's dry, and they don't have any shelter except for one small in an inch of water. Once we were finally seated and ordered they promptly service, coffee, and water and the waitress was very accommodating. One of our group wanted to make a small change, so I walked towards the kitchen to request the waitress change the order slightly. She was accommodating, but the people in the kitchen were threatened, apparently they were afraid of some accident that might because I stuck my head through the arch, there was no door. Once we got past that my food was interesting colorful but unfortunately, the contents of the egg we put into the omelette without any heating and I really prefer my omelettes hot. The omelette was pretty, the potatoes were cold, the toast was cool, and in general it was OK but not exceptional. I don't understand with all the five star reviews. I happen to have stumbled in on a two star day.

Yelp
Amazing little gem! Came here when I was way younger when it was called Stanley's (they still have the Stanley's sign inside!) Came here for 2 breakfasts during a quick getaway this spring. It wasn't crowded because it's offseason, so we sat down immediately. Staff was friendly and greeted us on arrival. First day I ordered the Fred, bagel with smoked salmon, herbed cream cheese and capers with a side of home fries. It was amazing! My husband ordered the "Jackpot, yo" (loaded omelet). It was also good, and so much food! Next day we went light. I got a bagel with herbed cream cheese and a side of corned beef hash. Husband got North of the Border (french) toast with home made cinnamon raisin toast and sausage. It was so delicious!

Sean P.

Yelp
I should've taken the photo before I inhaled the incredible sandwich and home fries. This place is an absolute gem! Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious breakfast stop!! You could tell beforehand, as we had about a 45-60 minute wait. The place was packed, and for good reason; literally everything was good. The omelettes, risotto, pancakes, sausages, and probably the best cornbread I've ever had in my life. If you're anywhere near N Conway, you MUST come here. Also a bar with mimosas, beers on draft!
google avatar

Kaylin V.

Yelp
The food was absolutely incredible, I love banana pancakes and these were some of the best I've ever had. There was a 30 wait on a Tuesday at 10am but it went by quickly and once we were seated, we were immediately asked what we would like for drinks. The food came out incredibly quickly! It has a cozy cabin feel with natural lighting. I would definitely return if I was in the area again.

Yelp
Welcoming and laid back breakfast spot. My family and I enjoyed our time here, the staff were friendly and helpful. I tried the steak bowl which was absolutely delicious, the picture doesn't do it justice. My sister also enjoyed her veggie bowl. It seems like the bowls are the way to go. We also ordered the onion rings as an app, they were cut really thin so you taste more batter than the onion, but they were tasty. If you're looking for a breakfast spot, it's worth the stop in!

Marie B.

Yelp
Talk about an epic breakfast and overall well-managed spot. Even though it's Saturday, ordered "Pretendin' That It's The Weekend," some of the BEST pancakes with bananas everrrrrrr. Prices are also reasonable, extraordinary in these times. And for the fiirst time in forever, the kitchen cooked the bacon as I'd ordered it. Service by Renee was superb, and overall this will be an epic memory in the magical Whites! Grazie millle. Can't wait to return....

Yelp
Howdy gang! It's 7:15 in the morning, and I am rolling through the White Mountains of New Hampshire, on my way to a Gathering of Love and Light, and I see this place along the side of the road and there's already ten or twelve cars parked outside. The joint had just opened, so I knew it had be good! After mulling over the extensive menu and slugging back half a cup of coffee, I finally settled on the Pinkham, an omelette with fresh tomato and spinach and herb cheese inside! It was perfect-- the omelette was perfectly cooked, the folded type, not a speck of brown, and fluffy as could be! The fillings followed suit. The spinach was fresh and crispy, the tomatoes bright, and the herbed cheese flavorful and delicious! It all went perfectly with the cornmeal and molasses bread, toast and chunky home fries! The wait staff was attentive, and the place was definitely bustling and a warm but misty Saturday morning! If you're in Glen, New Hampshire, for whatever reason, I would recommend stopping by for a bite to eat. I'm pretty sure you won't be sorry you did! Now, it's up the mountain for me, so I'll catch you on the next one! Happy travels!

Yelp
Found this awesome place via Yelp and was impressed with the reviews. So decided for my family of five to check this out before heading to tubing. The wait was about 20 mins but the hostess asked if we can split our family between a table of two and three of us. Kids were hungry so I said yes! Turned out fine as my girls had their space. My son loves sitting between me and his daddy. All happy. Our waitress was awesome and food came in pretty quick. Other employees were also so nice and smiling. The place is very clean including the restroom. My biscuits and gravy were so flavorful. My two kids and Hubby loved their flapjacks My oldest daughter loved her French toast and other food she's ordered. Overall, all five stars. We come up here from Boston every February, so this will be definitely be one of our regular stop in the future.

Yelp
Very cute breakfast/brunch place! Was busy (even in off season) but they have a wonderful system where the waitstaff all work as a team & it was very efficient so wait time for seating/food/check was minimal. The food was very homey & cozy. I ordered the sausage biscuits based on reviews & it was delicious & unique, slightly sweet which was a wonderful surprise! Their breads are homemade & soooo yummy & fresh!! I highly recommend them!

Deborah C.

Yelp
We stopped here for breakfast based on the amount of cars in the parking lot. It did not disappoint . Service was quick and friendly, good vibes and delicious food at fair prices . I had two eggs with chorizo and home fries and sour dough toast .

Nancy S.

Yelp
Nice little place we like to visit when nearby! Staff is friendly. Food offerings are anywhere from traditional breakfast to some creative choices as well. We love the diner style atmosphere! I had a breakfast risotto with spinach and eggs over easy with balsamic glaze. My husband had a traditional choice. They have homemade sausage which I loved last time and forgot to order. Folks around me were ordering one of their specials ; grilled blueberry muffin of which they all commented Mmm mmm! This is a must try and quite busy as we were leaving especially. Great place for families and couples alike!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
It's a nice little place. Even though it was a long wait, it was quick once we were inside. Unfortunately, they put tobasco in my food without asking, so my food was disappointing. But, my family enjoyed theirs :)
google avatar

Galen W.

Yelp
Wonderful, diverse menu, all with tremendous flavorings, it appears. Very popular, but limited indoor seating. Very responsive service.

Bill J.

Yelp
We happened on this place once a year ago, unassuming little place, and it was epic. Food was fantastic and servers were very pleasant. Just went back today on our way back from the Mount Washington Auto Road (yikes!) and needed to stop and saw it again. Nearly peeled out to turn around. Again, it was fantastic. This time for lunch, the burgers and sandwiches stacked high. My mother literally declared it was the best Caesar ("Czar") salad she's ever had. It was kind of funny how much she fawned over it. My spicy chicken sandwich was a mountain of delish.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Wow this place was an incredible find! Busy but they move parties pretty quickly. The omelet's were cooked to perfection and I can't stop thinking about the "muffin bread toast". Servers were so friendly and willing to give suggestions on what to do in the area
google avatar

Rebeka M.

Yelp
Overall this place was a decent spot to grab breakfast. However I would say skip it if you don't get there early. We did a hike at 6:30am and stopped here around 10am afterward. The wait was an hour long. I would say not worth the wait over 30 minutes. The risotto was wonderful, the biscuits and gravy were a little bland. Very friendly service, but just way too many customers. If we didn't have a gift card to use up, I think we would have gone elsewhere for breakfast/brunch.

Rose M.

Yelp
Stopped here while staying up the street on a holiday weekend. Service was quick & breakfast was delicious! It had a cute cabin-y feel.

Libby P.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING! We are having a girl trip in New Hampshire and wanted a place for breakfast/brunch. Typically I heard by looking at other reviews and what our waiter told us is that there's usually a long wait. However we were able to get a table in less then 10 minutes. On the outside it does look a bit like a shack but on the inside it's cozy and cute. We got pancakes, French toast, bacon, ham and the griddled blueberry bread special. All where phenomenal, so delicious. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area -
google avatar

Adam R.

Yelp
Nice and local staff. Solid coffee and good breakfast to meet your needs. I enjoyed this vibe and would say if you find yourself in this tiny town, give this one a go.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Excellent brunch great service. Excellent drinks and lots of food, doesn't look like much from the outside but a completely different story on the inside. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
We went for breakfast two days in a row while on vacation this past weekend. Highly recommend the French toast with cannoli cream and raspberries. Phenomenal! The blueberry muffin with honey salted butter was also very memorable. We'll definitely return if ever in the area again in the future.
google avatar

Orena W.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! 10/10 would visit again! Looks like a really unassuming tiny place from the outside, but proved us wrong. We also thought we wouldn't find a table when we arrived at 8:30am because the parking lot was totally packed. Bur it turns out many tables just hadultiple people that drove in several cars! So when we went inside there were a couple of empty tables and we were sat down immediately. Then shortly after we sat down we were offered coffee by a friendly staff member. It was nice to get hot coffee right away! Then we ordered the Taking' it to the street breakfast sandwich, and the Los Huevos Rancheros breakfast bowl. Their service is top notch, after we ordered our food came under 10 mins! The waitresses are also really friendly and appear to really like their job. The breakfast sandwich was huge! With buttery soft, flakey bread with perfectly cooked thick and crispy bacon with fluffy eggs and packed full of flavor! The homefries were well seasoned and went well with the breakfast sandwich. The Huevos Rancheros breakfast bowl was huge! I think it came with 3-4 eggs! I ordered it with the jalapeños which was a nice kick to add to my morning breakfast! It came with sour cream, salsa, and avocado. The home fries that came with the bowl made it really cozy and satisfying. I could have ate half of it and been satisfied by it, but I finished the whole bowl and left belly full! I didn't even eat the toast that came with it. Would definitely come again and order less. We could have shared a breakfast item, we walked around town afterwards to work off the large breakfast and had a very light lunch later on in the afternoon because of how full we were. Bottom line is they're very affordable and generous with their portions of food. It's a cute local breakfast place where the food speaks for itself! Certainly visit this place, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Great food! Good people. Breakfasts are great as well Steak torta sandwich is excellent!

Yelp
First off the staff is super chill... second the food is great. My favorites are the breakfast bowls...best breakfast around!
google avatar

Raquel R.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. Everything was homemade, even the bread was from a local Baker right down the road. Chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy and loaded with chocolate. The kids meals were actually BIG and only $5. Great deal. The sausage seemed homemade too, it was good but definitely needed more flavors. The service was awesome. Food came out super quick Very small but nicely decorated and clean The bathroom was cute and my only qualm about the place was that the bathroom sink was too small so water kept dropping everywhere. Otherwise, you must go!!

richard k.

Yelp
In the past we had always loved this place and recommended it to many. But our latest (and last) visit was a nightmare. Rude service and multiple issues with our various orders. First off, we walked in to put our name on wait list and was told to use a window further down the building. I watched others and everyone apparently made the same "error". Their entryway has a sign ordering folks this area is not for waiting, you must wait in your car. The wait staff and manager come off as acting like this is the last place they want to be. One of our group ordered a Greek omelette and received scrambled eggs on top of a cold salad. 3 of us ordered pancakes and 2 of the orders were burnt black on one side. 3 pancakes is $9.99 but one of us ordered a single pancake and it was $7, that's an upcharge near 300%. I motioned to speak to the manager and he conspicuously avoided us. Based on how much we loved this place in the past I wonder if it's under new management?

Kevin E.

Yelp
I love diners and breakfast/lunch places. Today we turned around on the highway to give this a try, and we were so glad we did. Recently remodeled, very friendly staff, fun menu, good food, and they even have table side credit card readers. We will stop in again; we loved it, and you should too.

Pamela B.

Yelp
We visited yesterday, and the food and service were great. Returned today, and service was not as good. We had to wait to order, and then drinks were not refilled. We were going to go each day of our trip but decided not to go back tomorrow.

Tamarah H.

Yelp
Spectacular food, great service. I had the beet salad, with grilled chicken that was so tasty and tender. Partner had omelette that was very fresh and tasty. Would definitely visit again!

Stephen R.

Yelp
We always get a great meal and service here. They can be very crowded during all seasons so come early or late if you don't want wait long. You won't be disappointed.

Andrew V.

Yelp
A gem of a place that could be easy to drive by. If you see it, stop! Food is fantastic and the owners are kind and accommodating. We drove over an hour and a half through a winter storm just to have breakfast at this cozy spot. We were not disappointed!
google avatar

sarah h.

Yelp
Food was very good. A well rounded menu and you could make any bowl into a breakfast wrap. Service was very efficient which is appreciated since it is a very busy place. It is a cute little cabin with a bar. Well kept and clean
google avatar

Cathy P.

Yelp
Cute decor, prompt service, and amazing food always! It's a must-stop place for us.

Noemi P.

Yelp
Food was fresh and good quality. The wait was quick with friendly staff. I was supposed to get a side of potatoes and only got four pieces.
google avatar

Dani R.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was quick. However, the portion size for the home fries is very small. Like just 4 pieces.

Junie C.

Yelp
The customer service was unacceptable and the order was wrong. My family of 4 went to the Sunrise Shack on a hot sunny day. We ordered at the outdoor counter where the waitress was less than friendly and could barely hear us through the tiny window. It was over 90 degrees outside, and while my husband and kids waited in the heat, I, being 7 months pregnant, needed to cool down inside. As soon as I walked in, I was told to leave immediately because of a "COVID policy" that customers cannot wait for their food inside (it's now 2024). I explained that I was pregnant and asked to sit at the bar at one of the 4 unoccupied seats, but was flatly told no and instructed to "go sit in my car." This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially towards someone in my condition and who is a paying customer. Policies should be updated to reflect the current times, and basic kindness and accommodation should be a given in any customer service setting. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Burgers were good but order was wrong.

Yelp
Great coffee latte's and service for this small business. We noticed that the food being served looked wonderful.
