Gary booked us in but said if we came and did not like the accommodation, we did not have to take it. He even sent instructions just in case we came late. The room was great. We looked it up on Booking.com, and it said Sea Views. When I spoke to Gary, he said that was not correct, that it had partial sea views, and Booking.com was wrong. Serves people right for booking through these American companies who take money for supplying information over the internet. I always call the hotel / motel direct. There was a comment that there was no sea view in the beautiful room for visitors on the top floor. Untrue! The planting on the southern end of the patio did block out some sea views, but there was 180° of seaview straight out the front. The common room has a Jura coffee machine, 3 different types of milk, lovely locally made biscuits, fresh apples, games, etc. We relaxed up there a number of times. Our room was lovely. They resupplied some complementary drinks and nibbles each day. The bed was superb, and we both had our first full nights sleep in 5 days. |We loved The Surf, and will probably take 3 rooms for 3 days each, and have our children and their partners stay for a family get together.|Thanks to The Surf Team for a lovely stay.|Note:- See the attached photos that shows the common room that allegedly had no real sea views.
