The Swallows Rest Bed & Breakfast

Had one night at the Swallows Rest B & B it is situated in a lovey village. Was welcomed by our hostess Sam with homemade cookies. The room overlooked a lovely garden which we could have the use of during our stay. The room was very large and spacious and had everything you would want with a separate bathroom which contained a bath and shower. Breakfast you had plenty of choice and was served in a light and airy dining room or in you room. Very clean and welcoming would defiantly stay again.

Me and my partner were lucky enough to stay in the Willow room for 2 nights for our anniversary weekend. Sam went above and beyond and is an excellent host, there is absolutely nothing to fault about the room and the service we received. It was no trouble for her to heat up our dinner upon arrival that we bought with us which was really appreciated- little touches like that really make a big difference! Cookies on arrival (and more the next day!!), large room with a comfy bed and a fabulous full english breakfast on weekends- 10/10 stay and wish we could’ve stayed for longer!

The wife and I booked a night in the Garden room at the Swallows Rest, enticed by the amazing reviews and I'm pleased to say we were not the least bit disappointed. Sam made everything as easy and comfortable for us from beginning to end, from greeting us in the carpark when we arrived, to bringing an incredible breakfast to our door in the morning. (Even though it was continental, we still had plenty of great things to choose from!) Sam also helped with recommendations of local eateries for our anniversary dinner. The room was warm yet modern, with a lovely view of the beautifully kept garden and one of the best showers I've used. We had a sound night's sleep in a comfortable super king bed without a peep from the roads or other guests. Honestly, it was a shame we didn't stay longer.

A beautiful B&B with tasteful decor and a lovely welcoming feel. The beds were so comfortable, and the cooked breakfast was absolutely excellent. Sam is the perfect host – friendly, attentive and made our stay extra special. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

In a beautiful village setting, the accommodation was well decorated and serviced with all essentials at hand. Despite the B&B status, the rooms were separated enough to assure privacy. The host, Sam was friendly and attentive to our needs. Will highly recommend.

Swallows Rest was a delightful B&B. We enjoyed our stay...it was so lovely and spacious, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. This B&B had everything we needed AND some extra treats. So many tastefully designed details. Thank you.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room and the obvious attention to detail. Sam was a wonderful hostess. The continental breakfast was great - I can recommend the oats and eggs on toast if you're not staying on a weekend.
