The Swan

We had an excellent stay here at the Swan. The room was big, clean & functional. Great beds, pillows & shower was also powerful. What really topped it off was the lovely Charlotte at the front of house. She was very helpful and gave us great recommendations. Would definitely recommend if you're in Bampton!

Just had a fantastic birthday celebration at the Swan. Outstanding food, attentive and friendly service. We were a party of 20 and the food came out all together for every course. Amazing work by the chefs and staff. I cant recommend the Swan enough. Go There!

Been coming here on and off for the last twenty years almost! Had some incredible meals here under the previous owners and the food remains exemplary since the reopening. I’ve never had a meal here that wasn’t short of excellent. The rooms upstairs are comfortable and spotless and you’re made to feel super welcome. Totally recommend.

A mix of village inn and restaurant with rooms, the Swan had been impressing visitors with its food and drink for many years before closing in 2024. After a couple of months it reopened and if anything is now even better than it was. Confident, imaginative cooking is backed up by good cellaring of beers and wines. The atmosphere is warm, mellow and welcoming, setting a high standard for others in the area to try to beat, unsuccessfully this far. And it is still getting better.

We had a lovey one night stay here on a long distance cycle holiday. The comfy bed and great shower were exactly what we needed! The rooms have been decorated really nicely and the pub has a great atmosphere.

A gem of a find on our way to our holiday. Very welcoming. Delicious food and a great selection of beers. Dog friendly with treats. Don’t miss the homemade mayonnaise!

Absolutely exquisite meal with suprise flavour combinations excellent. Enjoyed every single mouthful. Would not hesitate to recommend if you find yourself in or near Bampton. Would recommend that you book.

We went for dinner at the Swan. What a totally amazing meal. Char was a brilliant host..All of the food was sublime. My “Saliza” Sour was just beyond delicious. We will SO be back. We can heartily recommend .. book in now!
