The Swiss Hotel Freetown

I recently stayed at the Swiss Hotel over the Christmas period into the new year for a wedding and I had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing staffs and of course a wonderful Host who was Randa. The service was spectacular, anything I needed I was looked after, was ill for 24hr due to food poisoning which occurred outside of the hotel and the staffs went out their way to make sure I had the best meds etc. The Swiss hotel on Many occasions threw events which kept the place live, to a point where you wouldn’t want to leave. So relaxing and beautiful. Will definitely be back next year. Thanks to everyone you were great ! I am very biased and tried to find a bad point but honestly can’t find one. Staying at the Swiss feels like coming home. It is extremely safe; I bring my infant daughter with me and feel secure. I love the apartment setting, but have also stayed at the hotel. Both are terrific. I am so grateful for the service and attention they have provided me and my family for years. The perfect location for convenience and not too much traffic.

I really enjoyed the hotel, staff and the services. Thanks to Regina! Staff are very attentive the clients specific needs and during my stay the waiters learnt that I was looking for house for longterm needs and gave me contacts through which I found a place to live. They knew my tea preferences and would prepare it the way I like it. The manager Ahmed is one of most cheerful and optimistic person I have met recently. His staff at the front desk: Fundia, Priscilla and Emmanuel were phenomenal. Room was well maintained and cleaned. Thanks to Regina!|God bless you and keep up the good work.

The place is one of the good places to stay in Freetown. Staff is wonderful, always trying to do their best with a smile. I should mention the excellent treatment that I got from Mr Amiya, Ms Priscilla and Mr Fudia. They have been very courteous, attentive and always helpful with a smile. Kudos to the kitchen staff as well for making such mouthwatering food. Will visit again, if in Freetown.

Overall, The Swiss Hotel was excellent. The reception team, especially Ms. Fudia, was outstanding, very courteous and helpful throughout the stay. Mr. Aniya Bhattacharya was extremely informative and kind, offering valuable travel insights and always willing to share information. The restaurant staff were also attentive and provided great service. Overall, I highly recommend The Swiss Hotel for its excellent hospitality and warm, professional staff.

Our first small dark room was poor but we didn’t realise it until late at night: the bathroom door didn’t close, the safe didn’t work (rusted batteries). It got worse in the hot night when the air con failed. Enough! We demanded a change. New light larger room and all was good.||Nice pool. We didn’t eat here. Staff were excellent throughout even with a late check out.

The room was clean but basic. The balcony had no seating, which felt like a missed opportunity. A few things in the room didn’t work properly – like the air con, some plugs and light fixtures. The air con was leaking and took multiple days to fix and we had to change rooms in the middle of the night due to the disturbance. On a more positive note, the staff were very polite and courteous. The taxi service available was also very convenient and flexible.

We like staying at the Swiss Hotel be aus of its central location and the excellent service, the team always gives everything to make it a good stay and helps wherever they can. The advantage of a central location is also the only disadvantage, it can be a bit loud from the street.
