Yelp
I debated between a three and four star review for this place, really a 3.5 for me. We didn't have the greatest stay, but not all of that was the fault of the hotel.
First off, it's set in beautiful Edgartown in Martha's Vineyard, so the location is absolutely prime. Also it was one of the few nice hotels where you could book only a single night on the weekend, which was very convenient for our travel plans.
The hotel is not staffed, you pick up your key in a box at check in. There is apparently a number you can call if you need help or you can go to their sister property nearby if you need anything. This was all pretty clearly communicated by multiple emails before our arrival. There was parking around the back, but it wasn't totally obvious where the entrance to the hotel was. It was also a bit of a schlep to get our bags up to the room - pack light if you stay here!
The room itself was nice, small but well appointed and clean.
My mom and I had a long day of travelling, and went to bed early, only to be woken up around 11 pm by some very loud and drunk guests in the lobby. It is an older building and the walls are paper thin. I had to go down eventually to get them to quiet down.
Breakfast is left outside your room in a little box. It arrived 20 minutes later than the stated time, not a big deal but we were on a bit of a tight schedule so it was a little rushed. This was too bad, as it was a really delicious breakfast with a lot of thought and care and loads of homemade treats.
All in all there were good and bad things about our stay, and even by pricey MV standards I found it a little overpriced for what you get.
