Cannot say enough good things about this place! It's a fairly casual looking place, everyone will fit right it. Small but excellent "local" (as in Revy, Nelson) beer on tap. 2 Attila the Honey, pale ales from Begbie, a local brewery.
We started with the simple chips and salsa.. cheap at $10. Well, it is when it arrives as it's quite a plateful and it comes with a tomato salsa, a black bean and corn salsa as well as a guacamole, that is one of the tastiest I have ever had.. asked what was in it, it was quite a list! Couldn't keep track of all the ingredients! Best guacamole I think I have ever had!
Enchiladas were the choice of the day. Mine spiced beef and my dinner companion (sounds nicer than "The Mrs"!) had the yam... portions are just short of huge. I was a little afraid when I saw some burritos come out of the kitchen for the table behind me!
Two enchiladas each and they are a very generous portion! I managed mine, my "dc" didn't make it but tore apart what was left for the yam. We both agreed the saucey enchiladas are a definite excellent choice...
Main courses consist of about 7 or 8 fillings, ours plus chicken, pacific cod and more. You order in a taco, burrito or enchilada format. Simple! Excellent!
Very good service! If you like this sort of thing, this place will not disappoint! Wish I had taken pictures!
Prices are good with the enchilada being the priciest choice at about $20. So, not bad at all. Dinner for two with a pint each, some chips and sides, two enchilada meals.... $63.38 plus tip. Hmmm, not bad....
