The Tamworth Hotel

Rooms were nicely refreshed while sticking to the classic pub accommodation vibe. Liked the shared en suite amenities. Two detractions: cleaners were playing music loudly in the pub area early in the morning and there was a very loud compressor which cycled off and on all night - may have been on the neighbouring building. But every time it started up it woke us.

Great Location in the heart of Tamworth. The Food Menu is extensive and some really great options. Unfortunately the girl at the bistro counter was having some sort of a bad day with the kitchen staff and was very happy to tell anyone who had no choice but to listen to it. Whilst this was one of the best steak sandwiches I think I ever had, I really dont wanna know whats going on in back of house. We'll be back to try the other options.

Lots of seating styles to choose from. Food was great, along with the service. Facilities were clean and fitted the character of the hotel. Enjoyable experience.

A really nice pub. The front bar with pool table is a great spot for a drink. A bonus star for Guinness on tap. We both had a meal - Seafood Linguine and Eye Fillet (rare) with peppercorn sauce. The meals were okay but not great. The tomato sauce in the seafood linguine was a bit overpowering and the spaghetti was overcooked. The rare steak was medium and the peppercorn sauce was a bit bland. The weather was horrible so we couldn't take advantage of the outside areas which look amazing, but we were able to get out of the cold and wet in the front bar after our meal.

Nine of us had lunch last week (Wednesday) and everyone had the most excellent meal. We nearly all had different and we couldn’t fault anything.Well done everyone!

Rooms were very clean and tidy, staff were very friendly. Ticks all the boxes except the bistro menu lacked options other than that, it was well worth the money

Whoever sees this please invest in advertising for the DJ on Fridays, the venue is so good. there is a gap on fridays night entretament and you should take advantage of that, cheers.

Enjoyed dinner here. Was kid friendly with a play area and beer garden outside and a good kids menu too. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Beer was cold and managed to sneak the first one in during happy hour for an added bonus. We didn't stay in the hotel, but would certainly consider it next time we are in town. The pub itself is well presented with comfy leather lounges and historical charm. There is an outdoor stage and I am sure live music here would be awesome. Everything I want when choosing a pub to frequent, will visit again.
