The Tangerine - a Burbank Hotel

Our recent stay at The Tangerine was exceptional, from booking to stay to check-out. We were in town for the Tournament of Roses parade, and the location in proximity to Pasadena and related parade activities is excellent. The hotel is easily accessible to/from LAX airport and offers free parking on-site to hotel guests. There are a slew of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, offering a variety of cuisine, e.g. Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, New American, etc.||The hotel provides several coffee offerings, an ample continental breakfast, and filtered water. Staff are exceptional and eager to offer helpful advice about services in the area, which includes a variety of cultural and entertainment options. In addition, there is a heated pool on site. Finally, The Tangerine is a great hotel for exploring the Los Angeles area.

Experience can be hit or miss. Front desk staff were great; very friendly and welcoming. They shared some of the local happenings the evening we checked in and were attentive. Lobby has a coffee machine, microwave, and water dispenser always available. Breakfast is limited to local pastries brought in, but I have no issues with that. The actual room experience was not too great. I got a ground floor room which did not have any typical flooring (just concrete shown in some published images) but quickly got over that. The room was in front of a parking space so there was a light on outside the window which still lit up the room at night despite closing the curtains. Second night I decided to push the chairs and tables against the curtain to block the light. Unfortunately there is little soundproofing so a few children's squeals and loud walkers resulted in difficulty getting a good rest. The floor above must have had vinyl flooring because I could hear every door slam, footstep and movement of furniture at 2AM. The final oddity were the pillows which were just four square pillows, for the king bed. Just too small for my preference. Location is great and the staff is great, so your experience really just depends on the other guests around you.

We are Angelino's who had the good fortune to stay at The Tangerine under exigent circumstances. The staff was beyond kind and compassionate to our situation, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was perfect size, very clean, easy to access information (TV and Wifi), a refrigerator... all our needs were met. Everyone we encountered from the manager Kumal to everyone on staff (Michael, Daniel, Migelito) were wonderful and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. We will certainly recommend The Tangerine without hesitation to anyone looking to stay in a quaint spot in the middle of a vibrant part of Burbank. On the bright side, our circumstances gave us the opportunity to discover a wonderful little gem right in our backyard... it's an easy five stars to give! Thank you Tangerine~

All the positive reviews for this place are well deserved. The room was so clean, it was noticeable and stood out from other motel experiences. The staff were all so nice, welcoming and helpful. The coffee maker and morning pastries were wonderful and I definitely took advantage of the water bottle filling station in the lobby. Clean, comfortable, safe and impeccable customer service, what more could you ask for?

The Tangerine is a sweet little place to stay. My room was very clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The coffee machine in the lobby is a nice touch…it makes espressos, lattes, the works. It’s also nice that the lobby is open 24 hours and they offer free parking. One minor issue was the traffic noise on the street in front of the hotel. It starts up early in the morning. Bring ear plugs and you’ll be fine.|Nice neighborhood for walking with lots of good restaurants around.

We had a fantastic stay. Many restaurants within walking distance and perfect for visiting Universal Studios. Heated pool and 24/7 front desk is a nice touch for such a small location. Clean and friendly service. My only reason for 4 stars is because it advertises “breakfast included” but they only provide a small box of cookies with maybe a few pastries. This was for the entire hotel. Although the pastries were delicious and high quality it was extremely disappointing. However, they have a complimentary machine that makes coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino, tea, basically any breakfast drink you can think of. The drinks it makes are delicious and consistent. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

This small hotel is such a treasure. The location, staff, close dining and shopping is fantastic. Walk to Warner Brother's Studios and a hop to Universal. The staff is MORE than helpful. The rooms are updated and super clean. I can't wait to go back.

My wife and I wanted to stay in Burbank due to its proximity to WB Studios and Universal Studios. After some research, we also saw all the highly rated restaurants and coffee houses. The Tangerine is located in the perfect location for all of this. The staff was excellent but we didn't have any issues during our stay so there wasn't much interaction. Highly recommend!
