Had a really pleasant stay in The Tango Nanshi during my trip in Taiwan. The staffs were really nice and helpful, as they assisted me with checking with my other hotel and logistics details as it was affected by the sudden typhoon. I gladly extended my stay here after cancelling my trip out of Taipei, just because I had a really good stay here where the room is comfortable, clean and not to mentioned the features available. Do take note of their going green initiative of not providing single uses amenities but the location is conveniently situated a the bustling street near Zhong Shan station where you can get your food, daily necessities easily despite during the typhoon season. Will definitely check in here if possible during my next visit. Thanks once again for making the trip more pleasurable despite the unexpected turn of events.

Location very good. Located just in front Exit 3 of station but recommend to use Exit 4 if with luggage. Room not very big since the toilet occupied quite much spaces. Only able to open my one 28inched luggage. Bathtub is nice with TV and jacuzzi. Shower is hot enough. The minibar provided tea bags and tea leaves and will refill after room cleaning. But the WiFi in the hotel very bad almost no signal and only can use my mobile data

I picked this hotel due to its location and proximity to the MRT (Zhongshan stn). It's a 1 min walk from exit 3! The hotel room is actually quite roomy and decent with a big bed. There is an additional glass sliding door to act as a noise barrier which was nice. The bed, bedding, pillows we're really comfortable. The mini fridge is isolated behind a cabinet door to keep it quiet. There are also dark-out curtains. Housekeeping cleans up the room and replaces towels everyday. I appreciate coming back to a "new room" every day. There are some short-comings that kept me from giving the Tango Nanshi 5 stars: 1) the room is dusty. I wish they would vacuum better! There are dust above the hangers in the closet, the water bottles collected dust, the carpet edges show visible dust. 2) there's a giant green EXIT sign above the door that stays brightly lit 24/7!! 3) the dark-out curtains don't close all the way and lets in a gap of light in the morning. 4) there are no toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) other than hand soap. I'm not sure if this is a Taiwan-thing or if the hotel had these for pickup at the front desk. If they did, they didn't mention it during check-in. I used what I brought so didn't bother asking. Pro tip: you can borrow an umbrella for day use from the front desk.

Hotel was easily accessible as it’s right above Zhongshan station. Aside from the good location, nothing else to shout about. Room cleanliness could be better as dust was still evident on surfaces. Hotel doesn’t provide single use disposables such as toothbrush and toothpaste which makes it inconvenient for international travelers without check-in baggage. Hotel staff were also not very friendly and helpful and always looked glum. No one really greeted us whenever we entered or exited the hotel, not what we expected of a supposedly 4 star hotel.

The location is unbeatable, however there are a few things that make this hotel less appealing. The check-in time is 4pm, instead of the common 3pm check in time in other hotels. Check out is at 11, and they will call you at 10.30am to remind you the check out time, which I find pretty annoying. Cleaning staff came into the room unannounced to clean, after turning them away we got a call afterwards to ask if we need cleaning service. I’d be in a foul mood if I were trying to take a nap. Overall the room is good and again, great location. However, I’d rather try out other hotels in nearby areas than to come back to this one.

Easy accessible from Zhongshan MRT exit 3 (staircase) or exit 4 (escalator). Room was a bit dusty but the housekeeper did a pretty good job to clean the toilet (sparkling shower head) greeted us daily. 4 bottles of water with jacuzzi bath for my room which we enjoyed. There is even a tv inside the bathroom! Breakfast was adequate, they tried to change some dishes daily. The reception staff can be a little friendlier. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

location wise super convenient - right outside an MRT exit and you’re able to walk from Zhongshan MRT to Taipei Main Station via the underground mall. for the room itself: - the shower/washroom was great! large area with the toilet and shower separate. shower gel and shampoo was great too. - the room itself was a little squeezy though. - carpet/bedding was definitely quite dusty the first day we checked in. it kinda cleared up over a 1-2 days.

I recently stayed at Tango Hotel Nanshi and wanted to share my experience. Pros: First and foremost, the location is fantastic! It’s within walking distance to a vibrant shopping area and conveniently close to the subway station, making it easy to explore the city. For those who enjoy unwinding after a long day, the room features a jet bathtub, which is a delightful addition. I’ve stayed at other Tango Hotels in the past, and it seems that this luxurious amenity is a consistent feature across their properties. Cons: However, there were a few downsides during my stay. The room and shower felt a bit cramped compared to other Tango Hotels I've visited in the neighborhood. Additionally, being placed on the 3rd floor meant I could catch the scent of 鸡蛋仔 wafting in from the street, which, while delicious, was a bit overwhelming at times. I also noticed some noise from outside, which could be bothersome for light sleepers; the sound and smell insulation could definitely use some enhancement. Lastly, I was surprised to find that there were no toothbrushes or toothpaste provided in the room. This was quite inconvenient, especially for international travelers like myself who might not have thought to bring these essentials. Overall, while there are some areas for improvement, the hotel’s excellent location and relaxing jet bathtub make it a decent choice for travelers. If you can look past the minor inconveniences, it’s still a solid option for your stay.
