The Tauranga on the Waterfront

We had a ground floor room with waterfront views. The room was clean, well appointed and spacious. Nice to sit on the patio area in the afternoon with a drink. We can understand why people say the Mount Maunganui area would be better to stay but it does seem peaceful at Tauranga on the Waterfront. There is a good range of restaurants not too far away in the main city area. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

beautiful view , relaxing environment. we enjoyed our drink on the balcony. room was nice and tidy. nice bathroom and toilet. had everything we needed. we stayed one night and we definitely go back again. very close to waterfront and the huge playground . Thank you

Amazing location with a perfect view over the water. Great room with everything you need for a short or long stay and the place was SO clean. Felt like a home away from home. Cannot fault it in any way.

Very clean room. Friendly staff. Great location! I would say a little on the expensive side, given that you had to pay extra for breakfast, but it was safe and cosy. Extra points if having a laundry. Really loved Tauranga.

The rooms was great the location was great and the service was great! The wait for check in was no longer than 5 minutes and only took about 3 minutes. There's also a selection of cards for tourist ( attractions). The view was great if you get a room out back you can see a bunch of boats floating by swell as a scenic view. There is laundry machines on sites so that's sorted also there is WiFi but it is pretty bad. Rooms were clean and large. Would recommend if your staying in Tauronga!

I'm back at this motel for the second time, and I still absolutely love it! The location is fantastic, and the views are amazing. The staff is friendly, and everything is really clean. We did have a little issue with one of the beds, but after mentioning it to the staff, they had it fixed by the next day. I highly recommend coming here again! :)

I booked directly with the hotel about a year out for my son’s wedding. We knew accommodation would be difficult as the wedding date was a few days into the New Year. I arrived to find they had record of my booking but had not reserved the room. Very poor of them.

I'll admit, I was skeptical when I arrived but I quickly found the room was even better than I expected. Clean, comfortable and a gorgeous view. Every staff member I spoke with was lovely and the grounds were beautiful.
