The Tauranga on the Waterfront

I had an exceptional stay here, and I’m genuinely grateful for the experience. The room was immaculate — spotless from top to bottom — and the level of cleanliness was truly 10/10. The spa inside the room was such a highlight and made the stay feel incredibly relaxing and special. The service was equally impressive. Both ladies at the front desk were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The housekeeping staff were also lovely and attentive, which made the whole visit feel cared for from start to finish. The room had everything you could possibly need: a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, sink, plates, and cutlery. The locally sourced shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash were a thoughtful touch. Plenty of towels, rubbish bags, and all the essentials were provided without having to ask — the attention to detail was outstanding. And the location… right on the waterfront with such a peaceful view. It felt like a quiet slice of paradise. I’m extremely appreciative of the experience, and I will definitely be coming back. This motel is a gem. Great location by the water and within walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. |Our room was spacious and clean. We did not overlook the water but that did not matter for we could still experience the sunrise. |The reception we received was also heart warming, a very nice woman.|A+ grade for sure!

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Great location - most rooms have sweeping views of the inlet. Friendly and helpful staff - good laundry service available. Short drive to restaurants and shops. Very enjoyable stay!

The couple from Gisborne. We were stunned when we entered the room and saw the large window with a view straight out to the waterfront. My wife thought we were on a cruise ship with an outside cabin. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the kitchenette was a well-hidden gem and very useful. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and our room was serviced every day. The location is perfect in the City Centre, with no need for a car to explore the city, visit restaurants, and shop. We highly recommend this motel, and our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer—but we will be back. Our best wishes to Nicki and the staff—keep up the great work!

The location is simply beautiful, and seeing the train cross the bridge in the morning was such a unique experience. The room and bathroom were really clean and I loved the little compact but useful kitchenette in the room. The in room amenities were of lovely quality. I really enjoyed the stay here.

I have stayed here while visiting Tauranga from Auckland for around 10 years! Every visit is a pleasure. I always book a waterfront room and they are always a treat. The harbour view is amazing and the sunrises even more so! Angie and Corina are both amazing at catering for your needs.

I love the king size plus two single beds. Room is well maintained and cleaned every time. Good amenities and friendly reception. Will definitely come back again.
