The week I had planned to have brunch here was the same week the lockdown begun. Earlier in the week. I considered doing UberEats for lunch but had no desire to pay the various up charges (e.g. 20% higher menu prices, service and delivery fees).
Since I was running an errand, I decided to do curbside. Although I got their voicemail when I dialed, I succeeded with Facebook Message. Ordering was somewhat easy. After texting "Brisket Grilled Cheese", I did not get an acknowledgement. After waiting a couple minutes later, I texted my side order and mentioned that is all. A few minutes later, I was told my order will be ready in 15 minutes. Several minutes later, I was asked for my car's make and color. After I texted once I arrived, I only had to wait in my car a few more minutes. The waitress and I traded my credit card for the order. A bit later, she came for my signature on the credit slip.
The Cowboy Brisket Grilled Cheese was bulging with brisket. I clearly tasted the cheese and hint of the onion-bacon jam as I bit into the sandwich. From appearance, both sides of the toast may have been buttered. The sweet potato fries were a bit greasy, but that did not stop me from eating most of the fries. Under normal circumstances, I would not have ordered a sandwich. Then again, under normal circumstances, I would have dined at the restaurant.
Now for something I never thought would be mentioned in a review... face masks and gloves!
While my waitress wore a face mask and gloves, many did not wear a face mask. Not even the waitress serving drinks to a couple of customers seated outside. Everyone serving or bussing tables wore gloves.
